The dragon roared once more, it flapped its wings which sent gusts of wind strong enough to pull the trees out from the roots. It landed on a cliff just right above us, the ground shook and trees flew, it roared louder this time. Without hesitation, I ran for the campsite to look for the others.
"ARE YOU GUYS ALRIGHT?!"
I yelled as my frail legs were too heavy for me to continue running but I kept on moving. No response...
"Tarus, what the hell was that?!"
"It looked like a dragon!"
"What's a dragon?"
"Don't they exist here?"
"N-no..."
"Let's talk about this later, we need to find the other's first and fast!"
"O-ok!"
The campsite was littered with branches and there were even some trees that managed to reach. What got me worried was that the others were crushed...I used corrosion to corrode the trees away that were too heavy for me to move.
"TARUS!"
I heard Nanako call out for me.
"NANAKO WHERE ARE YOU?!"
"OVER HERE!"
She sounded like she was a few feet west of me, I headed in the direction of her voice...Jade was wounded, blood flowed from her eyes and it seemed that her bones got fractured due to the sheer amount of pressure the tree was causing. They were shielded in a wind barrier that was blocking a tree from crushing them and the others were petrified to see that Jade was somehow managing it on her own. I ran full speed and used corrosion on the tree right away.
"J-JADE!"
She collapsed, blood left her body quickly through the wounds in her eyes and through her limbs that had bones poking out of them.
"T...ar...us?"
"Don't speak."
I immediately used the white flames to heal her but it was taking some time...I only managed to cover up the wounds and it looks like she'll be crippled...
"CRAP, CRAP, CRAP, CRAP, CRAP! USELESS WHITE FLAMES WHY WON'T YOU FULLY HEAL HER!"
"T-Tarus..."
"DAMNIT! YOU STUPID DRAGON! I'LL BE COMING FOR YOUR HEAD!"
"TARUS!"
With a rage-filled heart, I quickly manifested into burst mode, four horns grew out of my forehead. I boosted myself into the sky using the white flames, there on top of the cliff I made eye contact with the dragon who caused this chaos. I glared at it and it glared back, it was dark-colored in general, its scales were full of scratches, and killing intent leaked from it. This dragon seemed to be aged since its wings were full of holes.
"FOOLISH HUMAN! YOU DARE GLARE AT ME! DO A BETTER JOB OF HIDING YOUR BLOODLUST! ARE YOU OUT FOR REVENGE?! TAKE ON ME THEN!"
"WILL YOU GIVE ME A CHANCE TO TALK?! YOU STUPID DRAGON! NEMAX FORM TWO: EXPAND!"
Imbuing the Nemax with corrosion, its expanded form became larger and heavier which just managed to scratch the dragon's scales. This thing is too heavy for me to wield in my current state!
"So you filthy human somehow managed to hit me eh?"
It began to open its mouth, a ball of fire and lightning started to form from its mouth, I can't possibly defend myself from this since I could feel the heat from just a few meters away. The shield of prejudice suddenly appeared in front of me...I didn't even call for it, a thick black fluid substance surrounded the shield...this thing's acting weird. I grabbed the shield but it wasn't in a solid-state...the liquid surrounding it fused with my right arm, I had no choice but to make it fuse even more. The ball of fire was getting bigger, brighter, and hotter...crap the shield has completely taken over my right arm, it's taking a toll on me to carry not only the expanded Nemax but the shield too. I started to wobble in the air due to the weight of the two abnormal weapons. My right arm was completely engulfed with the thick black fluid, using corrosion on the whole of my arm to destroy it was a huge mistake...it reacted violently and suddenly sharp spikes formed...
"SAY YOUR LAST WORDS HUMAN!"
"IF I DIE, I'LL MAKE SURE TO MEET YOU IN HELL SOMEDAY!"
"FOOLISH! THIS IS WHY HUMAN'S ARE SO FOOLISH!"
"Shield of death: send this mere mortal creature to the deepest depths of hell where it shall repent for its sins for the remaining of its life span!"
As the ball of fire was sent off, the spikes in my arm suddenly flowed towards the ball of fire, quickly the spikes pierced the surface of it and covered the huge ball with the black liquid.
"I-IMPOSSIBLE!"
"Shield of prejudice: second form, the shield of death, engulf this mere creature..."
"YOU PUNY HUMAN!"
The dragon also got engulfed with the black liquid, suddenly a loud cracking noise erupted. The dragon's body shattered into pieces as it evaporated in the air...a human appeared near where the dragon's body was just a few minutes ago, it was floating down slowly. I went over to the human who was unconscious and a few minutes later it finally landed atop the cliff.
"So that's your true form eh?"
"Huh...?"
"Wake up bastard, somehow you survived that..."
"Sr. Alfred?"
"Alfred? No, that ain't my name...and cover up that body of yours..."
"Wha?"
She screamed...sigh...
"Do you remember anything from just a few minutes ago?"
"Remember what? The last thing I remembered was being thrown out..."
"Interesting..."
Things were getting interesting, I tossed a cloth to her which I swiftly brought over from the campsite...a human in a dragon? Being thrown out? This is intriguing me, I'll have to ask her some questions later.
"What's your name?"
"Sellainor..."
"Seems like your not from this are then..."
"I used to live in the city of skies..."
"I'm Tarus, nice to meet you Sellainor, I'll be asking you more questions later..."
I smiled creepily at her which probably sent chills up her spine.
