It felt cold, my surroundings felt cold, I opened my frozen eyelids to only see a white expanse going to the end of the horizon. Snow fell from the dark cloudy sky so fast that this was probably the strongest blizzard I've experienced. The ground was covered in a thick layer of cold icy snow, I stood in the middle of nowhere and there were no structures or even hills to be seen, all I could see was a wide flat area covered in snow expanding forever. My body was freezing, I didn't even wear any type of thick clothing, only the black armor I had on last time. My breathing could be seen as a small smoke coming out from my mouth. I hugged myself to keep me even a bit warm, I tried to take a few steps but the thick layer of snow would act like quicksand and it would make my feet sink into it. I stopped and rubbed my hands together to make them warm and placed it on my face, the further I go into this expanse of snow, the lower the temperature drops. I kept on walking as the minutes go by and in the distance, I could see a figure that's shaped like a rock, I quickly made my way there but the nearer I got the higher the snow got. The snow got as high as my waist, it was just up to my legs but now it's super deep. My body temperature dropped drastically, my hair was stiff frozen and so are my eyelashes, my mouth's skin began to rip apart and blood came oozing. I shook my head to remove any snow that piled up on my head, and so I kept on walking in this frigid blizzard. A few more steps until I reach the giant rock-like figure and the snow got even deeper, it's already up to my chest! I swayed my arms in panic as I tried my best to move around. Only a few feet away and things got even harder as the snow fell even faster from the skies. This is bad news, in a few minutes I would probably be buried in the snow from head to toe. I somehow reached the structure in front of me as the snow reached my neck. I reached out my hand to touch the giant rocky ball in front of me and instead of being a hard surface, it was soft and full of fur. I looked up in dismay, with eye's wide the behemoth in front of me started to move and it stood up to be 30 feet tall with brown fur covering its skin and the face of a monkey, I couldn't do anything but stay frozen in fear. Its eyes glowed a white color and it screamed so loud that I had to burrow deep into the snow just to prevent my ears from bleeding out. It was done with its loud screeching scream and it began to rumble the ground which removed any snow covering me. Its long arms swayed about in the sky and it directed its attention to me, it reached its long arm to me and scooped me out of the thick snow. It didn't look like it would harm me, but I'm still cautious about what it wants, its arm moved so fast upward that I had to lay flat because of the pressure. I just stayed calm and did not pose any threats to this behemoth as I can't even use any of my crown fragments or skills. After a few seconds, its hand stopped moving and I opened my eyes to be confronted face to face with the behemoth. Now that I got a close up look of this monster, I didn't move a single bit, the monster opened it's mouth and it roared so loud that I had to grab onto one of its furs so that I won't get flown away. It stopped screaming for a second and it's palm suddenly froze and ice spikes pierced me in my chest, my two arms, and legs. Blood spurted everywhere and the stinging pain plus the low temperature made it more painful to be pierced or wounded.
"W-what the hell....do...you...want?" I murmured up the words as I coughed with blood coming out of my mouth.
[You dare talk to me in that tone you foolish mortal!]
"THEN WHY THE HELL HARM ME?! WHAT DID I EVEN DO TO YOU TO DESERVE THIS KIND OF HORRIBLE PUNISHMENT?! WHY NOT MAKE IT LESS PAINFUL?!"
[Mortals will be mortals, as for the reason of you being here... you're given a chance to take the everlasting ice crown fragment.]
"Wait....do you know anything about the crown fragment of death?!"
[That sounds familiar...my memories are a bit hazy from being encased in this dimension for at least maybe...let's say 300 years?]
"You crazy crown fragments...here to help you remember, the other name for the crown fragment of death it Hel."
[HEL?! NOW I FULLY REMEMBER!]
"Please don't shout so loud, it hurts my ears."
[Oh my bad, anyways how do you know about Hel?]
"She said she chose me after staying dormant for I think was it 150 years without a holder."
[Interesting...well you surprised me morta- no Tarus! You've exceeded my expectations and you even survived this horrible blizzard that no mortal has ever survived.]
"I'll take that as a compliment I guess..."
[Your soul is the strongest one I've seen so far...not really normal for a kid your age...and I could see some damage to your would...you've been through so much shit huh?]
"Yeah..."
[No need to feel so down! I'll be here to guide you from now on!]
"I'll take you up on that then."
[You sure take no hesitations to things huh.]
"It's just I don't even know what to do going onward."
[Don't worry I'll be glad to help and I'll make sure to knock some sense into Hel when we meet!]
"Not bad for a huge ape!"
[I really get furious when people call me ape since it's you, I'll let it slide.]
"I really have a question that's been bothering me...how did I get to this place or dimension?"
[Oh...hmmm, maybe someone forced you in from the outside world...I'm not so sure. We'll figure it out once you get back.]
"Ok, I understand."
[Well, I'll send you out! Make sure to look for my fragment and once your near it'll make its way to you.]
"I see! Thank you very much!"
My vision became clouded and I closed my eyes, slowly but surely the cold temperature faded and I was greeted with some warm room temperature. I opened my eyes and I was in some sort of cave-like thing and in the middle of a large pool.
"Oi, Oi someone looks like was chosen!"
The familiar cocky voice of Gleesh echoed through the whole cavern.
