It was the day of the competition, as I was eating breakfast someone talked over the speaker and said that we have until before noon to prepare before the duel competition. The mixed feeling of being anxious and thrilled was the aura in my team, we underestimated the pressure of this competition. As we rechecked if we have everything we needed like food supplies and some miscellaneous items for some repairing of our gear, Lilly locked the door to the meeting room and we headed out to the competition venue. When we arrived at the location I overestimated the number of people attending, there are so many! I got so nervous that I needed to go to the restroom to calm down, I headed to the restroom, and to my unexpected surprise...I saw some familiar arrogant faces, it's those arrogant nobles that I met back then! They were with Ellaine at that time, I should have expected them to be attending this competition too.
"Well, well, well, we meet again scumbag!" shouted one of the arrogant nobles
"Oh, it's that PRICK!"
"Tch."
There were 3 of them so I had no chance of getting out alive, so I did the secret Joestar technique.....
"NIGERUNDAYO!!
I ran away as fast as I could from that specific restroom. After running through crowds I really needed to go to a restroom and good thing I saw one! I quickly got there and used it, there were several stalls and good thing there was a vacant one. I got in one and did my business, after I got out a masked person was standing outside the door to my stall and he started screaming. I panicked to get him to calm down and get out of the restroom as fast as possible in order not to cause any trouble.
"H-hey you need to calm down..."
"HOW CAN I CALM DOWN?? THIS IS A FEMALE RESTROOM!"
"HUH?! WHAT!? IT JUST LOOKS THE SAME AS THE RESTROOMS BACK IN THE VILLAGE AND IN MY ROOM! Whaaaaaaaat?!"
"KYAAAAAAAAAAH!" shouted in a feminine voice which I totally didn't expect coming from a male...
"I'm sorry alright! I didn't know okay?? You need to calm down now!"
As I was trying to get out of the restroom, I slipped and fell on the ground and my hands were touching the ground....to my surprise I almost fell into that masked person...the masked was removed and I couldn't see it.....THAT MASKED PERSON WAS FEMALE AND SHE WAS ACTING AND LOOKED LIKE A MALE!
"You know.....I'm really sorry for what happened.....this is an accident.....please forgive me!"
Her long black hair was silky smooth with her golden eyes tearing up and her face starting to get red....was a bad sign. So I did it again....the secret Joestar technique! I ran as fast as possible and I really felt bad about what I did.....I took a U-turn back to the restroom and the still laid down person was there with a puzzled red face, I helped her up and washed her hand and got a towel to wipe her tuxedo looking clothes and I led her to a cafeteria section with some vacant chairs and that's where I sat her down with her still puzzled face. So I ordered some food with some crown credits that I got from Zeksis, crown credits are the currency used in this underground kingdom and I could get some more if I took on some quests or missions. I asked her what was her favorite food but she didn't reply at all...I had no choice but to get her some rice porridge with some sugar added in which was one of my favorite meals! I got back to the table and gave her the meal...she was still puzzled and her brain is probably flying somewhere, there is only one option! I just had to feed her! I took the spoon and locked and loaded it with some rice porridge, to my surprise she actually opened her mouth! She ate the rice porridge and she showed a face that she liked it!
"Does it taste good?"
"Mhmm!" she beamed with excitement and happiness and quickly swallowed it all and asked for more.
"Ahhh, here comes the airplane!"
She sure acted stern back in the restroom, her face right now will make any mother proud...wait what? She quickly finished the whole bowl and let out a burp, she looked satisfied which is nice.
"What's your name?"
"I'm Kasu!" she shouted cheerfully
"Oh...I'm Tarus! Why did you have to hide your face behind a mask? No need in hiding it."
Her face turned red and she ran away.....I decided not to follow her anymore and got back to where my teammates were. It looked like the competition was starting in a few minutes and there were individual brackets so we were not fighting as a team but individually.
"Tarus what took you so long? We kept on waiting for you!" shouted Nile
"There was a line at the restroom so I had to wait..hehe."
"Well, at least you back now that what's important. The competition is about to start and you guys are probably nervous! Don't worry just give it your best!" said Lilly
"YEAH!" we shouted in unison
The competition started and the first couple of rounds was very exciting and cool! The people competing were so strong so I started to doubt my talents. Mandy patted my shoulders and gave me a reassuring smile and I smiled back. The first and second rounds finished and the people in the audience cheered, they were all wearing white armor so they probably are normal crown users, we stand out like a sore thumb because we were the only one's clad in black. My name was called to be in the next round and my teammates bid me good luck. I got very nervous as I entered the huge arena which was pure white and I'm just like a black dot on a piece of paper. To my surprise, my opponent was one of the 3 arrogant nobles! He removed a pure white sword with intricate designs of wings, it looked like a holy sword. He let out a wicked smirk as I got the Nemax sword out of its crown fragment form.
"Oya Oya, look what we have here, clad in pitch-black armor and blade! That's what I call a TRUE scumbag!" he shouted
I ignored him and he let out a "tch". He started running to me and he kept on screaming as he brandished the sword, with an evil grin on his face almost distracting me I was able to dodge on time and on his second strike I blocked it with my sword and it was heavier than I thought. I repelled his strike and I saw an opening and I mustered up all my strength to punch him right in the stomach. He flew a few feet back and kept his ground, he readied for another strike and placed his sword laying on his back as if he was preparing a sword stance.
"BLESSING OF THE WAR GOD!!" he shouted
"What?!"
"HEH!" he laughed at my puzzled face
His sword started to glow a faint red light and the color became more vivid as the seconds passed by and is it just me or did it grow sharper and wider. The audience let out a surprised "wow" and it looked like things were good for him. I have several trump cards, but being a jack of all trades it's very difficult to master them. I waited for his incoming slash as the sword got sharper and wider and taller, the tip reached almost the ceiling of the stadium which is probably around 50ft. I had no way of blocking this strike so I had to use one of my trump cards in order to avoid this, fortunately, Zeksis trained me personally and I'm only able to use this move once because it's exhausting. The strike was about to land and I have to get the timing right or else I'm dead.
"TAKE THIS, SCUMBAG!!" he shouted
"NO, YOU! HAMMURABI CODE SERIES: AN EYE FOR AN EYE!!"
Once the huge strike of the sword landed on the Nemax sword, the "Hammurabi Code series: An eye for an eye" activated. Zeksis taught this to me and I barely mastered it so I can only use it once. The toll of it depends on the strength of the attacker, "An eye for an eye" reflects all attack headed to the user back to the attacker, it's a very impressive defensive attack. The impact of his huge sword was so strong that the ground under me started to crack and dig deeper into the earth, it took some time for the "Hammurabi code series" to kick in and when the strike went back to him, I used corrosion on the ground to make the ground cave in easier for him. He received the impact plus the corrosion he went down a few feet into the earth and I the toll began to hit me and I was out flat, all I could hear was the cheers of the crowd.....
