My head hurts like hell, probably because of last night. He occupied sixty percent of the bed space while I here lay like a dead body trying not to fall. Guess I'll have to get used to this. I reached for the pillow and smacked him but not that hard, "Wakey wakey Thyrenece" well, that didn't work.
I have to be gentle with him, as the world had already done cruelty to his soul. This man deserves more. I stood up a bit dizzy, my world was turning and everything around me seems blur. Though, I managed to walk to the bathroom, letting the cold water run through my face. I took a cold shower to refresh my body. I was shaking as I was changing, blow dried my hair and smoothly brushing through. I looked into the cabinet and found a pancake mix, might as well have this for breakfast. I woke him up by blasting his favorite song,
"We've been through the worst made it through the better" he sang, I rolled my eyes and prepared for breakfast instead. Not yet. Leo woke up in a good mood, that's great he smiled more. I just hope that his smiles are genuine. I feel him staring at me and I saw him doing exactly as I thought. He was struggling with his tie. Seems like I have to do my mommy duties. I slowly fixed his tie and tapped his shoulder before leaving him. "I'm going to a formal meeting, I don't need you to come with me. You can go home early" he didn't let me speak "Do as I say" well that will be great. We ate breakfast and went on. It was noon when I finished my work and headed home, I then recieved a call from Dahlia, I don't know why but I have a bad feeling about this.
"Hello?"
[Trigger, Caught] oh shit
"We're out of this, they will not find anything against us."
[What do you mean, they will do an interrogation]
"No. Our files are all burned down. There's nothing left" I ran to my room to find some files but luckily there's no more left.
"Okay, relax. Stressing is not for pregnant women. Just come to my place" I ended the call.
My bed is filled with useless paper, and my room is a total mess. I prepared some snacks for Dahlia, I'll be waiting for her knock on my door. I've been expecting for this time to come, I guess we're gonna have to do it now. I don't think there's much time to explain but I got this. I was expecting for Dahlia but Instead these agents popped up, they don't really look like one but what would a man in a suit do here, and as far as I know policemen doesn't wear suits during their duties. "We're here for search operations" they showed me a piece of paper I nodded, what else can I do it's not like I'm hiding something, right.
Okay then, "I'm sorry it's a bit messy here, that's the bathroom and this is my room and a mini gym there, but there's a bathroom in my room too. I'm not that cheap" I casually said as I opened the door to my room. "I'm sorry to ask but what would a man's underwear do here ma'am" one of them asked, "I live with a man" I leaned on the doorway. "What's your relationship ma'am, is he your father?" my smile disappeared when he mentioned 'father' they searched up on my laundry. "He's… He's my boyfriend" I scratched the back of my neck out of embarrassment. Now I'm also claiming him, ughhh. They were smiling, they looked back at me as they roam their eyes to my bed, where my papers scattered. "Just do your thing" i waved my hand. "May we see a photo of your sister ma'am" I guess they saw my birth certificate. "No need for pictures, don't you wanna see how I really look like" she humbly leaned on the doorway across me. I smirked, game time. "It's nice to meet you sir" she politely bowed. I did not expected that Gareth would be one of them, but what are the chances. He was speechless, looking lost, but they still continued to look for papers. My room is clear, the kitchen, the bathrooms, the gym, drawers, anywhere. "We are sorry for the hassle, thank you for your cooperation" she tapped gareth's shoulders. "No worries" I gave them a small smile before they left. "Your room is a mess SIS" we laughed it off, "I was looking for my birth certificate and diploma, anyways you can sit there and watch movies while I clean the mess here." I organized my papers so next time I won't be this messy. After cleaning we watched movies and ate healthy snacks of course. Enjoying our subtle moment, this one idea popped up randomly on my mind. "Why don't we take some pics, like those fancy pregnant pictures" she was confused at first but I guess she gets what I mean. I am going to ask Leo if it is okay to borrow his camera.
[ Are you okay? Why? ] my brows furrowed.
" Can I borrow you camera? If it's fine. I want to take pictures of Dahlia. Uhm prenatal photos"
He chuckled [ Oh I thought you were in trouble or hurt. Of course it's in the gym, inside the glass cabinet]
"Thank you, bye take care" I ended the call, I'm so excited. I'm not an expert in photography but I'm trying my best. I got her some clothes, though her bump is not that big. I wanted to take photos of her during her first pregnancy.

"Dude she said you're her boyfriend" a young man threw his fist up in the air. "Score.. So when's the wedding?" he asked, very loud. "What wedding?" a lady appeared at the door. "Leo and his girlfrie- they quickly covered his mouth cutting his words off, "Leo has a girlfriend?!" she raised her eyebrows hoping for an answer, the you man nodded. He just hopes they stop asking questions "Gareth and I was the one to check their unit" he was so excited upon this discovery, though she lied, they still bought it. "Enough, before talking about my wedding let's put their safety first. If possible there will be lookouts, both their lives are in danger. Selene and Malaya, they were linked to them. So much possibilities in each second, we'll have to work on that" but when they both realized, they looked at each other each other eye to eye, as the color of their body faded, terrified. "No! Let's be quick" they quickly ran, along the busy streets. Leaving two confused human. "Is there any unknown thing approaching?" they checked the camera they placed by the door of Selene's unit. "It says Cholo's Pizza" Gareth said, then he thought. Oh no. They were like a cheetah chasing it's prey, bumping into anyone in their way. Out of breathe as they arrived, chasing each air. With shaking hands they knocked on the door, when no one seems to answer. It was then for them to Twist the doornob. It was already late, they thought as the rooms were already empty, the whole place was a mess. Luckily there were cameras, when they took a look at all the footage they then headed to the rooftop, "Aren't you scared?" Gareth asked, they took the stairs. "Scared of what?" he didn't know what he exactly mean, "You know, that they'll leave us, I mean they can do things on their own and they can protect theirselves and we probably are some useless attachment to them" Leo laughed while Gareth was looking miserable. "Yeah, I am Scared, very. And i have a solution to that, I will marry her and uhh treat her like a Queen, Love her with everything I have left. She's been with me through everything and I can't think of any future that is possible without her." he chuckled. "She doesn't even remember your ass, I mean Dahlia, she was my schoolmate before and we met again at his grandpa's funeral. But I thought she was her cousin, really cause I never saw Selene before." It was such a bizarre experience. "I remember back then she told me she had a sister but was staying with her aunt" they finally arrived, the ladies were just sitting on the floor while a guy was all tied up and was sitting at the edge of the building. "I regret to inform you but you're late. We saw both of you run all the way here, but y'all are too late. What are we gonna do now? I mean we can drop him" Selene walked up to Leo, he was shaking and scared for his life. "Nice suit" She tapped his shoulder. Gareth called for help, they untied the guy and took him away, for interrogation. "That was exhausting" she stretched out, she did all the strangling, while Dahlia was just enjoying the scene. "Are you okay?" He sat beside her and asked, Selene was closing her eyes letting her body rest. "We all have to stay in one place, just incase." All of them gazed at Gareth, "You can stay here, I'll be good here at the couch. You and Dahlia can take my bedroom" since the couch can turn into a bed, she'll be fine with that. "What about me?" he tapped her shoulder like a child asking for candy, "Couch" she said.
She dozed off to sleep but it seems to him that her position was kind of complicated to he gently layed her down and cover her with a blanket. Gareth and Dahlia took a nap also, so he was the only one awake. He made sure to lock all windows and door.
"Tell me if you still remember the night we met, at my football game in highschool." he caressed her cheek. He kissed her forehead before dozing off to sleep.
He woke up, it was dark, city lights gleamed through the glass wall. The others are still asleep, he choose to cook dinner, he wanted to try and cook his mom's favorite though it's been years since he last cooked that. Cheesy ground beef pasta. He left to buy some ground beef and cheese, it did not took him long enough, when he was back the pasta was ready. His soul almost left his body as Gareth stood beside him,
"Wow pasta, you're literally my favorite chef dude" he almost kissed Leo, luckily his reflex was fast he raised a chopping board to his face.
"What the hell was that" in a second his palm was already under Gareth's head "I like ya cut g" he ran across the room holding a spatula in his hand and a cheese grater on the other.
"I shall not let thy pass, Leo Thyrence Colton, you chose war. Then you shall receive one" he mimicked the voice of an old warrior, he brought the broom and the chopping board. He attacked Leo first, "I am a warrior at birth, no one shall take that away" Leo starts moving forward, sword fighting.
"Just a warrior at birth, how pathetic. I am and will always have the blood of a warrior, no one can ever take thy away from me" he grunted, he was hit by the arm, and acted like he fell. "You forgot one thing. Being a warrior isn't always winning, it's about falling but still strong enough to stand tall, and fight" in triumph, Leo proudly raised his fist up in the air.
"A warrior's heart is full of hope and passion for what they're fighting for" he changed his voice, more deep than usual. Gareth slowly stood up behind Leo and they both closed their eyes,
"For the world is cruel, I will be your shield, your knight. And I ought to the stars that I will protect you, whatever it takes" In a dramatic voice Leo placed his hands to his chest and stood back, so it was Gareth's turn.
"Love should not be a battle field, for everyday is already a war between us and our minds. I promise to be your safe place, and whatever it takes. My heart is always yours" He dramatically kneeled down and quickly stood up and did their handshake. For how many years, their play has always stayed the same.
"A warrior will always be a warrior, whatever it takes. Always and forever" They stumped.
They heard a camera stutter and saw a flash. It was Selene. "You two could be good actors, honestly" she clapped.
Their eyes widened, shocked and embarrassed. They fell to the floor, Selene was totally speechless with how the boys are acting,
"Did she literally saw everything" Gareth tried to whispered but still Selene can hear them.
"Yes we saw everything" they were more devastated when they heard Dahlia speak.
"Our play is supposed to stay between the two of us" they sighed.
"Aren't you going to marry me Gareth?" she asked. "Of course I will" he walked like a toddler all the way to Dahlia,
"Then why are you still embarrassed my warrior?" she chuckled. He went in for a hug.
"Ew a simp" Leo pointed at him, "Ew a single man simping for someone who doesn't even like him back" he attacked back, Leo raised his eyebrows. All of them laughed, but the smile on Selene's face faded when his eyes were on her. "No!" she warned him, he just smirked. Oh gosh, she quickly hide on Dahlia's back.

"Leo what the hell?!" I said as I tried to escape. He tied me to his body, while he's cooking I stood beside him. "I'm sorry, but no" now they were the one laughing at me.
"My feet are tired" I murmured. "You can ride at my back" I'd like to decline that offer. "Is it good?" He shoved a spoonful of this cheesy pasta to my mouth. "Mhm I can't explain, it is over the meter. This is so freaking good" I giggled.
"Thank you, I learned this from my mom" I change my mind I can enjoy this view all day. He untied me after he's done cooking.
"They knew I had information about them, but they did not want me dead. Instead they want me to forget everything, that's why i was involved in a car accident. It was planned all along. After the accident, they told me my father was abusive, and that my sister abandoned me, I was mad but we had to play it off. It's been four years since we lost our dad due to gun violence, and he never had the justice he deserve. I was furious, I can't get over what happened. I gathered up all information against them while they thought they completely brain washed me. And when everything was complete I gave all the information I gathered to the authorities. And burned every single paper that said I was part of them." for years I was not being myself. And I am glad that this time had already come, I can finally be me.
"aren't we supposed to be caught?" she asked confused. "I have been recruited in a secret agent stuff and all before the accident happened, I don't know how they found me, but as a kid I really loved to be one of them so I agreed." Their jaws dropped,
"I am already one with you" I raised my eyebrows up and down.
"Then why does one of us wants you dead" he shrugged, apparently, she wants you. "Let's just say she doesn't like me, because she likes you and we suddenly lived together. And before everything she already hated me since freshmen" my life is a mess, I know.
"Then why did they sent me to find you?!" he dropped the spoon, I laughed. "I have to protect you" I murmured. I think they'd already understood. "The only person who knew was Sarah, I guess that's why she hated me more" I shrugged. We had a long talk. I volunteered to do the dishes, Dahlia and Gareth went to sleep already.
He was playing games on his computer while I cleaned the mess. I had a cold shower after, changed into my pajamas. I finally can rest, I pulled the couch and got some blankets. "Hey I'm going to sleep, please check the doors and the locks before you sleep. Goodnight" I pulled the blanket up to my head and curled up into a ball. He played the song again, and jump onto the couch.
I pulled the blanket down to see him and to my surprise he was already looking at me "what seems to be the problem?" he gave no answer, "Staring is rude, Leo" then he dramatically gasped, "I want you to listen to this song before you sleep" he smiled I know he just wants answer. Okay then I sat down while the song plays, eyes on the glass, the city shines. "We've been through the worst made it through the weather" we both sang,
I saw how his eyes sparkled at that moment, "I knew it, you remember me" he jumped off and turned the computer off. Well, another question and answer, he lay down placing his hands below his chin, facing me.
"I never forgot about you, for four years, how could i? But I couldn't do anything, it would only put our lives in danger."
There was that point in my life where I no longer want to live, two persons whom I adore the most went to paradise. Then I got into this mess, I almost took my life away. But one thing that kept me going was this one thought I had before. I am blessed to still have to see every sunset, every sunrise. I am sure that wherever my parents are they are proud of me. I will live for my own. To be loved and give love, our world should be full of kindness. For each of us has battles we don't talk about.
"But did you knew about me being the CEO?" he curled his lips.
"No, the first time I saw you again was when I was sniffing that one flower" I laughed.
"Do you still love me?" one question made my heart wild, it's like my thoughts were at war. I can't even talk. "Y-you don't need to answer that" I looked at him, did I hurt him?
I'm still figuring things out, but I know deep inside my heart, it's still him, always.
"We should probably sleep" after a moment of silence I spoke, he nodded and pulled the blanket up to his chest. I want to hug him so bad.
I scooted over to him and gave him a hug, feeling his warmth. I wish we can stay like this forever, "Goodnight" I said before placing a soft kiss on his forehead.
Does he still love me? Did he have any relationship inside those four years? Was he happy?
My thoughts were at war, I can't think straight. I was constantly moving around, not until he turned to me and his hands caught mine, he held onto it, carefully squeezing and drawing circles on my palm. I suddenly feel comfort and relief, why is this man like this, huh. Damn I want to Drown him with hugs and kisses. I quickly dozed off to sleep.
I woke up to Leo and Gareth arguing, "No you don't understand, The chicken goes first" Leo gestured.
"The chickens was once an egg" Gareth got an egg from the counter, are they normal?
"I think it's the egg that went first" Dahlia went to her lovey dovey and they were hugging, couple things? Leo looks at them disgusted.
"Nah it's the chicken" all their eyes were on me, he opened his arms so I went to him, "Goodmorning" he said, I gave him a smile before burying my face on his neck. Great to have a person as a home
"Soo... You guys back together?" we quickly pulled out from the hug, "Uh, no" I said, "Yeah, no.. We did..not" we both laugh nervously.
The boys cooked breakfast, and while they did I took a bath, "How do you feel, you're finally free" I was brushing my hair at the bathroom when Dahlia suddenly appeared.
"Good, but still nervous about the things that might happen to you, us." she tapped my shoulders.
"I'll be fine, don't you worry..." I smiled bitterly.
"Everything will be."
"Babe, breakfast" Gareth called. We ate and discussed about what came first, the chicken or the egg. And I guess the chicken is more accurate. Before we left we made sure that Dahlia will be safe, "See ya later dummy" Leo said as Gareth left.
"Bye simp" he quickly left.
As usual did my job, papers, lunch break and went to a lot of meetings. After work I ran some errands, then I came along my father's old friend.
"Wow, you really changed a lot" he smiled. I was as surprised as he was.
"Hey" I casually said. "Can we talk, I have some unfinished business with you" we walked to a near cafe.
"I have been wandering here, finding you" I was listening to him as I took a sip on my coffee.
"I don't have the strength to come back, it still hunts me, how my father fell to my arms that day"

I vividly remember how I excited I was, my dad and I are going on a trip. I ran down the stairs and stood behind him while he got something out of his pocket,
"We're going on a trip on our favorite rocket ship" he sang as he locked the door.
"Remember that? we always sing that when you were a still a small human, but now you're all grown up. Though you already have your lovey dovey, you and your sister will always be my princess." I'm gonna miss him after my vacation.
"You'll always be here, right?" his brows furrowed.
"Ofcourse I will" he gave me a gentle pat.
As soon as he stepped down, I heard shots and he hugged me tight and as the screeching of the car fades. I fell to the floor with him in my arms,
"Dad, no. Please"
"Stay.. " I begged.
"I might.. Not have the c-chance to.. stay.. but..Like what you s-said. I will be one with the stars.. Look up when you miss me..I'll shine bright for you.. I love you my princess...I guess this is goodbye now" he flashed a smile before he took his last breath.
After my father's burial I drove fast, with no clear mind. The accident happened.

"It's been almost five years since, I've been searching for you."
"For what exactly?" I asked.
"He left me the money for you and your sister" he handed me a white envelope, it was thick. I hesitantly reached for it.
"Well, I have to go now. Take care, it's almost your birthday. Have a great one"
"I will, goodbye take care. Thank you so much" i said as he left.
I finished my coffee and left, I almost got into my fighting stance when a man suddenly appeared as I got out.
"Who was that?" Leo asked, he looks mad. But still cute though.
"An old friend" I said, I was about to ask him how he found me but a bouquet of flowers covered my face.
"Old friend my ass" he let go of the flower, it almost fell to the floor. Luckily I caught it by hand.
I sighed "He's my dad's friend" I followed him from behind, he was constantly looking back so I walked fast.
"What is wrong with you?" I pulled his wrist. "I'm was looking for you because I got you flowers and chocolate but I did not found you so I gave the chocolates instead because a man was hungry and he needs food" he was grumpy but still made his voice soft.
"Oh I'm sor- he stopped me midway "I understand" he placed his hands around my waist, "Let's go get some food for dinner" we found a great restaurant and we ordered for take out.
"Stay with me, Selene. I'm trying to court you, and win your heart back" he said in a serious tone before opening the Door for me.
