Chapter 9 - Chapter 8: Explaining to Six

(Viktor's POV)

I was grabbed by Alexsandr and the Scot before being knocked out by a needle after everyone ran over to me, seeing me alive rather than dead.

(Three Hours Later)

I woke up in an Interrogation Room, cuffed down onto a steel chair that is hooked up to some car batteries that seem to be wired to a switch in front of my interrogator, who happens to be Tiana. "Alright Viktor, you're finally awake, now start talking, how did you survive the fall when your ribs were broken through your chest, lungs and heart?" "I'm pretty sure you know that one, along with half of the team, Tiana," I look up to the one sided window, "Six I know you're behind that window, so why don't you ask your female operators or maybe Alexsandr." Tiana seemed to sigh and walked over to the switch, "I won't hesitate to use this, Viktor. Now, explain to Six everything, and I mean everything." "Says the one that was bawling when they found me. Yeah, Doc told me what happened when I got back." She gulped with a small blush forming, before flicking the switch, sending 100 volts of electricity through my body. After a few seconds she couldn't bear the sight of me being electrocuted so she turned it off. "Realize I have been shocked by lightning, sent into the electric chair multiple times against my will and from my own doing, I can handle 500 volts, try it." She hesitated, then sighed, grabbing a stronger battery and hooking it up to me. She flicks the switch again and I am shocked by 600 volts, the new battery being 500 volts. After she turned it off, I was panting slightly, feeling a vein bulging from my forearm, "Going for 600, huh? Fine I'll tell everyone. Just don't let this go out of the base, and whatever is said here, stays here. That includes you, Six. I don't want you to be adding this to my file." I couldn't see her, but I could tell that she nodded from behind the one sided mirror. I faded out of the chair and ended up right behind it, scaring Tiana and shocking others. I chuckled a bit, rubbing my wrists, "Let's see, where do I begin. I first died during the Black Plague in the 1400s trying to save others from the plague. Then came back with my sister gone and my parents dead. I still have no clue what happened to my sister, if she bears the same curse as I, or if she died. Last I remember she said that she was heading west, trying to get away. Hmm, I served in both world wars and I smuggled myself from the Soviet Union to America, trying not to starve to death all the time. Pissed off a Russian Mafia after killing one of their leader's. And after not being able to do anything I was hired to your rag tag team. Dying almost all the time. Anything else that I must spill out? I've told you my history, at least most of it." "What even are you?" I stop, that's the same question I've been asking myself so many times when I was alone all these years. What has been keeping me alive? What am I? Who am I? What is my purpose? I look at her with ice cold, steel eyes, "I haven't been able to figure that out since the 1400s. What do you think I am?" I saw her freeze up, having no answer for it. I sigh, and very slowly start fading off to the dorm. Just before I go completely, Tiana tried to squeeze in a hug, but goes right through me, fading away completely. I walk to my bedroom space and lock the door behind me, locking myself away from everyone and everything as I talk to myself, "Where are you sister? I hope Paz is ok, being alone in America." My train of thought is stopped at a sudden halt when I heard a soft knocking on my door, "Viktor? Can I come in?" I heard Tiana say. I sigh deeply and very slowly walk to the door and unlock it, opening it slightly, "What do you want?" "I just want to talk with you, I don't have anything besides my clothes on me, and no one else is in the room." I open the door even more and look around, ushering her inside my dimly lit room before shutting it and locking it, "What do you want to talk about..?" She hugs me tightly, "I'm sorry, really I am. I didn't want to do anything that I did since breakfast. What can I do to make up for it?" I was rather shocked, not thinking that a single soul would ever want to even try to care about what I feel and think. I was speechless by now as she sobbed into my shoulder, repeating the phrase, "I'm so sorry," the entire time. I could do nothing but hug her back, trying to reassure that it's fine. "Tiana, I had to deal with that shit for many, many years now, you're the first person to think of my feelings or my thoughts. You owe me nothing, hell I owe you everything and much more. What can I do to make it up to you?" She seemed confused, but said, "Be the one person there for me whenever I need it. Be the crying shoulder I need when I'm sad, be my joy when I'm happy, be my partner." I nod softly, "I shall do what you command till my dying days, even in death I shall serve." She slowly grew happy from heading this, and decided to pull off my mask and gave a kiss full of passion to me, which I happily accepted and gave back. We sat there like this for minutes, but those minutes felt like hours, but not the bored kind of hours, the kind of hours that feel like you can stay like so for eternities to come. We parted to get a bit of air, blushing a bit as we did so. "Should we tell them?" "If you're ok with it, I'm fine with it," I replied calmly, my blush going away. She nodded and got up, giving me my mask before heading out of my bedroom. After getting my mask on securely, I walk out of the room calming down before walking off, checking the time to find out it's just now lunch time. I walk over to the cafeteria and glance around, seeing everyone eating and chatting about the interrogation that happened, spreading gossip and such about me being a freak of nature, a monster that no one should care about, but even monsters have feelings. I sighed and turned into a gas before entering the room, being invisible to everyone. I turned the lights off, some of the males grumbling that the generator blew out as I got my food, as soon as I got it the lights were turned back on and everyone stared at me. "Well look who it is, bird man getting his feed huh?" I heard some operators laugh as I held the temptation to punch in his teeth. I sighed and started walking away, but two men stood at the doorway, a Canadian and an American. "You're not going anywhere buddy, not after that little show you've given us in the interrogation room. Now, hands up and fight, right here and now!" "I'm not going to fight, unless you want a Russian/Prussian's foot three feet up your ass with a hammer to the brain. Now, move," I say, showing my hammer-mace to the two that are blocking the door. "You're not allowed to use weapons unless you're in the training course or in the shooting range!" "I can when I have an entire team threatening to kill me!" I yelled, making some of the women and men shake. "You're not going anywhere, not until you're put in your place!" The American said as he rushed me, trying to go for a left hook to the jaw. I grabbed his arm and tossed him to the other side of the room, hitting the wall with a loud slam. I grabbed the Canadian and shoved him away as I walked through the doors with my lunch, slamming the door with a slam, then walked off to my bedroom once more. I unlocked the dorm and locked it back up, going straight to my bedroom to eat in peace and quiet. After eating I just stayed in the dorm, cleaning off my shield just in case I am needed to break up a fight or being sent onto a mission, getting a lodged tooth out of the shield's frame. After cleaning my shield, I clean my hammer-mace off, taking it apart and cleaning the blood off the blade and fixing the handle. After about an hour, the door is unlocked and Tiana comes in with a large package saying it's to me from someone named Victoria. "Did you get a last name?" "No, but she said that she's sorry for something I can't remember. It was an hour ago when I got this." I carefully opened the box and looked inside. I saw a letter on top of many other items that I couldn't make out, so I grabbed the letter, ripped it open, and read it. It was written in a language I haven't seen in ages, nor the writing style. It may have been since 1434 since I've seen it, but I could tell who it was exactly. "Where did she go?" "She's probably talking to Six right as we speak. Either that or she left." I put the letter into my pocket and made a mad dash for Six's office. Time to meet a long lost loved one.
