Chereads / My CEO Daddy is Gay? / Chapter 21 - Chapter 21

Chapter 21 - Chapter 21

Alex repeated what she just said.

"I said.. if you like it better-"

"-If you're a guy," he finished the sentence for her and he let her go. He pursed his lips together as he shoved his hand over his head.

She walked over to him and tried to touch his face but he moved away from her.

"Is this what it is all about? Is that why you're trying to have sex with me? To see if I'm gay or not?"

"Well, I know you're not gay but possibly a bisexual. And that's okay, Robbie."

"Sht, Alex! I am not your goddamn experiment!"

Alex crossed her arms and raised an eyebrow.

"Well, isn't that why you let me dress up like this? To experiment on me? I know what kind of trick you are playing at Robbie. I just helped you get a start with it."

"Sht!" and he tried to walk past her but she stood by the door. "Let me out!"

"Not until you tell me why you arranged all these for me. The night gown... the wine... the kiss... are you trying to seduce me or insult me?"

"Insult you? Really, Alex? Don't you think I should be the one accusing you of that?"

"Why, isn't it true? Are you gay? Bisexual? You got to tell me so I know."

"Ugggh!" he flung his hands in frustration. "God, Alex! I just can't understand if you're being stupid or what?!"

She narrowed her eyes at him.

"So now you think I'm stupid? What is it you're not telling me? I'm supposed to be your friend and yet you're not being open to me."

"You want me to be open to you? Where have you been, Alex? Do you think we can just mend our friendship in just one day? You owe me ten years. Ten years of being miserable because of you!"

"So now it's my fault?!"

"Goddamn Alex! What is it you want me to say?"

"Well, why can't you be honest with your sexuality? Why is it so hard for you to tell me?"

He lunged at her in anger and pinned her to the door with his two arms. She got startled and her hands automatically went on his chest. She could feel his body tensed up. She had never seen him so angry like this before and she felt guilty for letting him feel that way.

But she needed to know. The reason why, she did not even know. All she knew was she wanted him to answer the questions that lingered on her mind for so long.

Now she regretted it by the way Robbie was acting.

Why was he so mad whenever he was asked about his sexuality? He could have just been honest with her and it would be alright.

Why can't he admit that he liked guys better than girls or both?

"How shallow can you be, Alex? Why can't you see that I am not what you think I am?!" he spat out.

It was clear that she was so blind and stupid to see how he felt for her. The worst thing was she was accusing him of being bisexual.

When did he ever show her he liked guys?

He could never comprehend it and it just shook him to the core.

"You cannot blame me for thinking you're gay because I saw you with him," she spat back at him.

His eyebrows creased.

"What are you talking about?"

"Kenneth. Kenneth Romero. Remember him?"

She couldn't be talking about him now. Not him..

He pulled away from her.

"It's not what you think," he told her as he walked away turning his back. He leaned against the wall.

"So what do you want me to think, Robbie? I was there when you kissed."

"It's not what you think. We didn't kiss!"

"Do you want me to believe that? I know what I saw, Robbie."

"Believe what you want. It didn't matter what you or others think anyway. My reputation had been ruined years ago," and he walked towards the door which Alex had been guarding until now.

"Would you mind? I'm getting suffocated here. I need to breathe," he said and Alex moved away from the door. He opened it and stepped out.

"Robbie..." she called.

"You can have my bed or you can sleep with Sasha. I'm going to sleep in one of the guestrooms at the lower deck," he stated and was about to step towards the door when she called again.

"Robbie... please let's talk."

He turned around to face her.

"What do you want to talk about, Alex? Every time we tried to have a good conversation, you start bringing up issues from the past. I'm getting tired of it..."

"I know but I can't help it... There are so many things that I have been asking myself for years, Robbie."

"But no matter how much I tell you, Alex, you will still believe what you wanted to believe. So what is the point of telling you when you have already formed an answer in your mind?"

"I don't know what I should really believe because you confused me."

"Confused you? How the hell do I confuse you, Alex?"

"Well, you showed some signs."

"Showed signs of what?"

"Of... of gayness."

"Of what?!"

"You showed signs of being gay."

"God! I can't believe you. You know what? I'm done talking," and he strode over to the door and stepped out of the room.

"Robbie!" she called but Robbie didn't turn his head.

Robbie was so pissed that he decided to go back to the bar and drink the rest of the bottle of wine that was still on the counter. He poured more on his glass, and gulped it down like it was nothing.

He needed to drown out the pain and anger he was feeling. He couldn't believe that Alex would think that way towards him.

'Signs of gayness? What the f-k is that?!' he thought angrily to himself.

He never heard that there was such a thing as "signs" of being gay. The more he thought about it, the more angry he became.

How can he prove to Alex that he was never attracted to guys? That she was the one reason why he never dated women?

Maybe that was the reason why she thought he was gay because he never dated women. He was so focused on his business that he did not even want to look at other women. He was surrounded with them everyday, from the office to the studios when there were endorsements.

There was even one who hit on him in his earlier days building his brand.

Connie, his personal assistant. She was young, sophisticated and gorgeous.

She could have been a perfect match for him if only his heart would allow it.

But it never did...

Because for many years... there was only one who occupied his heart.

And that was her... Allison.

He gritted his teeth as he poured the last drop of the wine in his glass. He needed to speak to someone. Someone who knew him better than anyone else...

Going over to the fridge, he grabbed another wine bottle, but this time the liquor was hard and would sure knock him off completely.

It would be perfect for him so he could forget the night for once... and maybe forget the pain she caused.

He grabbed the bottle and the wine glass. Then, he soon walked up the steps to meet his friend.
