Chereads / My CEO Daddy is Gay? / Chapter 17 - Chapter 17

Chapter 17 - Chapter 17

Sasha was sitting back on the beige cushioned seats in the dining area beside Bernie. After dancing to the songs of her favorite artists, her sweet tooth kicked in and she suddenly remembered about her cake. So, she asked Lily, the beautiful blonde in a blue polo shirt and shorts to call her parents. Lily then promised to bring ice cream, too, for dessert since they haven't had any yet.

Her feet swung excitedly underneath the table as Alex and Robbie came in from upstairs.

"Finally..." she sighed loudly. "I've been waiting a long time for you guys that I have already uploaded a youtube birthday video but you still haven't come. What took you so long, Mom? Did you and Dad fell asleep?"

Robbie frowned, suddenly remembering the scene awhile ago. He hated the fact that he felt truly disappointed that it never happened. It made him ached more to be alone with Alex again.

'Maybe later,' he thought as a mischievous idea played in his mind. He glanced over at Alex as her eyes focused on their daughter.

Alex smiled as soon as she heard her daughter's voice. She was relieved that Sasha did not show any sign of being upset to them... most especially to her.

"You made a birthday video?" Alex asked as she sat down on the chair. Robbie followed and sat beside her.

"Yes, Mom. I got about ten thousand views in a few minutes. Everybody loved the idea of me having a birthday on a huge boat. Someone even said it was grand and... does Dad owned a company?"

"I do," Robbie replied, proudly. "Why?"

"A lady commented that she recognized the boat. She said she knew you."

Robbie wondered who could that be and yet, a lot of people knew him and the media most especially.

"She said, 'You're lucky to be the daughter of one of the richest men in the country.' Wow! I know you're rich but I didn't know you're that famous, Dad."

He smiled faintly. His daughter apparently did not know anything at all which he was hoping she would never do. He knew that the moment the media learned about her, they would flocked around trying to ask questions about him. With that, he formed a plan to protect her at all costs. He would never let them probed her with questions about his sexuality. He wanted to be the one to tell them at an opportune time.

"Sasha," Alex placed her hand on top of her daughter's little hands across the table. "I'm sorry if in anyway I made you feel bad awhile ago. I didn't mean to ignore you."

Sasha smiled. "It's okay, Mom. I'm not mad. Auntie and I danced while you're gone. Besides, Dad was there to comfort you if you were crying."

Alex creased her brows. "W-Why would you think I'm crying?"

Robbie faced her as she swallowed hard trying to hide from him the hard life she had over the years raising Sasha on her own. She did not bother to glance at him, knowing he will be asking about it.

"Well, I have seen you a lot of times when you're upset, you cried a lot in the bathroom," and she looked up to her with sad eyes. "I always thought it was because of me."

"Sasha, no! Don't ever think of that, ever! If I feel sad or angry for that matter, it was never because of you, okay? I love you so much. You're the most precious gift that I received in my entire life. That would never change," and she held both of her hands as she tried to push away the tears that were forming in her eyes.

She never knew she had hurt her daughter several times by her crying over so many things. It was not easy for her to raise Sasha on her own. Eventhough her sister had helped her through, keeping a job and trying to find someone to take care of her baby, was not easy.

Clarice took her in when she got pregnant with Sasha and helped her financially. Her husband, Armand, had been very nice to her and even offered help with finding her a job in a café. But then, it was not long before the couple had a baby five years ago that they started having arguments about her living with them. Eventhough her sister would not tell her about it, she just decided to move out and flew back to the States.

She never told anyone... not even Robbie.

Until now...

Sasha stood up from her chair and went behind Alex to hug her neck.

"I love you, too, Mom," and she gave her a peck on the cheek. "Thank you."

Alex leaned her head on her arm and a tear fell from her eyes. Robbie who was watching everything wiped her tear and she looked at him. His eyes were concerned and without a warning, he leaned in and brushed her lips with his. Her daughter, watching it all happened, suddenly exclaimed.

"Ewwww!!! Daddy!" and she let go of her Mom's neck and ran back to her seat.

Alex widened her eyes in surprise as Robbie gazed at her and leaned back in his chair. He smiled, contentedly. Later, when they were alone, he would definitely ask her all about this. But for now, he will let her sink in to what just happened a few moments ago. He knew her mind would be so puzzled and yet, he was satisfied.

"Sasha, why didn't you wake me up, darling?"

Bernie came in from the sliding doors. He stepped out awhile ago to relax in the cool breeze while watching the little splashes of water in the river. He did not know he dozed off and woke up only when he heard incoming footsteps. When he looked up, he saw the pair coming in. So, he got up and followed them. He barely missed the kissing part as he saw Alex's eyes still wide in surprise.

"So what you guys have been up to while I'm gone, hmmm?" and he swayed his hips to the chair beside Sasha.

"They were kissing, Auntie. Ugh!" and Sasha stuck out her tongue in disgust.

Bernie laughed. "Oh, honey! You will be seeing more of it in the coming months. So get used to it. Also," then, he whispered in Sasha's ears in which Alex and Robbie could actually hear it, too. "...don't you want a little brother or sister to play with?"

Robbie smile widened at the idea while Alex creased her brows.

'Are you crazy? Not again!' she thought. She could not imagine herself getting pregnant again with Robbie.

But will it be possible? Is he attracted to her?

She was still stunned by the sudden touch of their lips that she didn't know what to make of it.

Did he really want to kiss her? Her heart skipped a beat at the thought which was odd since she knew he was gay.

Now she was curious...

Sasha's eyes grew wide at the words that were spoken to her by Aunt Bernie.

"Are you pregnant, Mom?" she blurted out loudly that even Lily and Cindy stopped from what they were doing to look at her. They all awaited for their answer while Bernie and Robbie chuckled.

Alex could not form the words in her mouth as her whole face suddenly turned red. Never had she felt more embarassed than now to be accused of carrying a baby when she and Robbie have not even done it again in which she had no intention of doing in a lifetime.

"Oh my darling Sasha! That was supposed to be a secret. You should not have said it loudly," Bernie gave the sweetest smile and his eyes teased them. Robbie did not mind but Alex was definitely getting upset. Yet, she could never get angry with Bernie. She respected him so much that even if she did not like it, she just took it all in as if it didn't bother her.

Even if deep inside she wanted to scream.

"But, Mom, is it true? Am I going to be a big sister?" she asked.

Alex took a deep breath as Robbie started speaking.

"Honey, babies can't be made in a day, okay," he said bluntly. "Maybe soon but not now."

"Oh... so when?"

Robbie chuckled.

'She is really mine,' he thought as he saw how persistent she was just like him.

"Maybe in a year..." he answered and Alex glared at him.

'Like you dare!' she thought and her eyes pierced through him.

'We could actually start later,' he thought, smiling. He knew he will have that time with her alone again... in his bedroom.

"Okay, my dear princess, why don't we start blowing the candles on your cake and have some dessert? The night is not getting young," he commented as he motioned Lily to light up the candles on the cake that was set up on the table.

"What do you mean, Dad? The night never gets old. It does not even grow. But I do," and she chuckled at the thought.

Robbie smiled. He just loved how Sasha was very playful and innocent. She was not like the other girls who models his kids' line of face powder and lip glosses. Their parents would try to dress them like adults and these girls would act sweet in front of the camera but become little devils after.

Then, it dawned on him. Why not make Sasha his top face model? He smiled. Tomorrow he would call Tonette, the head of the make-up department and let her know about it. She would definitely be ecstatic.... especially if she learned Sasha was his only daughter.

For now, he must focus on the task at hand.

That is, to seduce his best friend, Alex.
