Finally, it was Saturday. Which meant that it was flying lessons. To be honest, I haven't rode a single broom in my second life. Not because I wasn't interested or scared, but because I wanted to try it at Hogwarts.
So, here I am, walking on my way to the quiditch field with Harry to my left, Neville to my right. We walked as if we were going to war, well I was at least. Harry was nervous and Neville was almost on the verge of hyperventilating.
We honestly looked pathetic.
After waiting for Madam Hooch to finish her speech, it was finally time to ride.
"Say, up, to get your broom into your hand and then mount it. Ready? Go!"
Everyone was shouting up. Hermione's was flopping around on the ground like a dog. Neville didn't react until it suddenly flew into his nose, which earned him a round of laughter. Harry said up 2 times before it flew into his hand. I looked at my old Broom and spoke in a firm voice.
"Up." I didn't shout or order it, I just let it do what it wanted. In all my time of using magic, I learnt that it's semi-sentient. Forcing magic to do something is the worst possible way to use magic.
As expected, my broom flew into my hand smoothly. Madam Hooch raised her eyebrow at my action. As a flying coach that had years of teaching experience, she probably knew what I did.
"10 points to Gryffindor."
When everyone finally had the broom in their hand and they've mounted it, Madam Hooch continued her teaching.
"Now, when I blow my whistle, you will kick off. Are you ready? Three, tw-" Neville nervously kicked off the ground before Madam Hooch could finish. Canon repeated itself, but before Neville hit the ground, I took out my wand.
"Wingardium Leviosa!"
I managed to float Neville to the ground safety. Madam Hooch and the students looked at me in awe. After coughing, Madam Hooch snapped out of her daze and took Neville to the hospital wing just in case he was injured. I followed them, just so that I don't get in the way of canon.
"That was excellent wand work there Mr. Arius, 5 points to Gryffindor." Madam Hooch praised me as we returned to the quiditch field where we saw McGonagal dragging Harry away.
When I met him later, I asked him what happened even though I knew already. As expected, he said that McGonagal took him to Oliver Wood, captain of the Gryffindor quiditch team, to be a seeker. Hermione perfectly timed her entry and dragged us towards the trophy room, where we saw a trophy to James Potter.
"Damn Harry, why didn't you tell me your father was a seeker." I asked him.
"I didn't even know." He said looking at the trophy.
We then walked away and up the stairs, which started to move by itself. We then entered a door and saw the inside was slightly dark and had no torches lit.
"Guys, I don't think we're supposed to be here." I said as I looked around. This place was dark and had statues filled with cobwebs.
"We're not supposed to be here. This is the third floor. It's forbidden." Hermione said in an exasperated tone.
I heard small noises and when I turned around, I found Mrs. Norris looking at me with her red eyes.
'Oh my, look what I have here. First years in the third floor. This won't do, no, not at all.' Mrs. Norris spoke and my eyes bulged out. I almost forgot that I had [Voice Of All]. Her voice was like a strict, creepy old lady.
'Uh, Mrs. Norris? Please don't tell Filch.' I asked her as the other two looked at me like I'm crazy. I can't blame them, I am speaking like a cat after all. Mrs. Norris looked at me and arched her back in surprise.
'What! How can you speak in my language!?' She demanded.
'Well, I just can.' I said back.
'It doesn't matter. I'll just report you to Master Filch. Master Filch! Master Filch! I found students on the third floor!' She started crying out loud.
"Guys, run! Negotiations are off the table!" I started running and they soon followed. We ran until we came across a locked door which Hermione opened with Alohamora. We went inside and closed the door behind us. The two of them started talking while I was looking at Fluffy and the the trapdoor under his foot.
Fluffy woke up when he saw us and started barking.
'Intruder! Intruder!' Said the left head.
'Let's call daddy Hagrid!' Said the middle head.
'Can you guys shut up!' Said the left head.
We just screamed and ran back out the door. Before the door was locked, I spoke.
'I'll try to get you guys out of there when this is all over. By the way, what's your name?' I said. Again, Harry and Hermione were surprised.
'Our name is Fluffy!' 'Wait, how do you speak our language?' 'I just want to sleep.'
I didn't bother answering them and the three of us ran back to the Gryffindor common room. When we got there, Harry and Hermione both started talking about what they saw. When they noticed I was silent, they both looked at me before Hermione remembered that I spoke to Mrs. Norris and Fluffy.
"I didn't know you could talk to animals."
"Me neither, I just thought that I was hearing things at first, but now I know that it was actually animals and not me going crazy." I used my Bullshit No Jutsu at my best.
"I just want to know what that was." Said Harry.
"Oh yeah, they said that there name is Fluffy." I added.
"Who in their right mind would name a monster that name." Hermione asked.
"I don't know." There's no way I could say Hagrid was the one who raised Fluffy.
"Why would the school keep that thing locked up there?" Harry asked.
"You don't use your eyes, do you? Did you see what it was standing on?" Hermione asked.
"It was standing on a trapdoor. Which meant that it wasn't placed there by accident." I replied.
"Exactly, it's guarding something. Now, if you two don't mind, I'm going to bed before either of you comes up with another clever idea to get us killed, or worse, expelled." With that, Hermione went off to her room.
"Why am I getting blamed." I asked Harry who shrugged his shoulders.
~Next Day~
Harry was taught about the basics of quiditch, Hermione was ignoring us and I was writing down some powers that I wanted to get, but didn't want to use the Store to buy.
It's only been the first month at Hogwarts and I'm already getting into so much trouble. New ideas for my Thu'um kept popping up, my interest in magic was already through the roof and my plans for the year was forming.
