Amidst all the chaos, Ying Tie didn't have the luxury to even catch his breath running around saving the people of Qinshu province. He had managed to find various bunkers were hordes of malnourished slaves with protruding bones, were chained up awaiting death. When they saw Ying Tie, they instinctively shrunk back terrified of the brawny man. He would have loved to reassure them with a long speech but time was a luxury he didn't have.
Ying Tie broke the chains with his bare hands freeing them from their bondage before saying, "Follow me if you want to live, I will lead you to the border," without looking back as he exited the bunker. He proceeded to open up all the bunkers and repeating the same message. At first, the people didn't move in fear of what Wu Wúqíng would do to them but seeing that they would die anyway if they stayed as penance for the broken chains, they followed behind him hoping for the best.
