"What....?!!" Paul realized that Isabella's words sounded different.
"Yeah...Since I'll be bringing you profits..you should make me your partner. Isn't that how you do business?" Isabella said recklessly. She has confidence in herself that she can bring this small company into the limelight within days.
"I know you have talents..but what made you think I'll give you a job just like that without seeing any preparation from your side..." Paul questioned Isabella in a strict voice.
He already understood her intentions. She wanted to suppress her rivals using him. He can aid her in providing her a secure job. But in aspects of fighting openly with other major companies, he can't make decisions in a hurry because he's not the prime person who holds the power in the company. He has to answer some people if something went wrong due to his hasty decisions.
"I know you'll ask something like this" Isabella said nonchalantly and opened a photo folder in her mobile and handed the mobile to the man sitting before her.
Before he could take a look properly at the pictures both the people heard a voice.
"Mommy...you don't have to beg him for a job. I've known someone who really wants to take in a talented person like you"
Isabella and Paul didn't know when the little one walked into the room. They both looked at the girl who's standing sternly before them with her hands crossed over her chest.
She resembled a little monster with her deep eyes staring at them as though piercing holes into their bodies.
They didn't know what to say to that girl who's looking so serious.
Another man entered the room at the same time making the environment even more awkward.
Hearing the footsteps, Isabella and Paul looked at the door. Rick Simon was standing at the door. He just came in following the little girl and didn't know what exactly happened before his entry. He silently looked at the three others.
"Uncle Rick...help me with my mom's job. You can take her in right?" the little one turned around and looked up to the man's face.
Rick stood flabbergasted. 'What did this little one just say? She wants me to give her mother a job?'
Before anyone could move or speak, the little one talked again.
"Uncle Rick... since you helped me find my future daddy.. I'll lend my talented mother to you for a few days"
Rick gazed at the little girl in confusion. All he did was take the girl to the cafe across the street only on her sincere request. 'When did I help you find your daddy? It was you who wanted to meet that man when you saw him through the waiting room's window'
Isabella gaped at her daughter in silence. Her daughter's sure very much determined to get that random man as her father.
Both Paul and Rick glanced at the mother-daughter pair after looking at each other.
Paul knew Isabella's talent and wouldn't lose a chance to grab her. But Rick didn't know anything about her.
He's someone who started a business recently and got acquainted with Paul out of their common interests when they met each other during some business talks.
But their chats never headed towards personal topics and always stayed around their interests.
Rick wasn't someone silly to take in a person without knowing their background and he wanted to reject the deal at first. But later he decided to agree to the little one's words on one factor. 'I have to show this child that I'm much richer than that random man'
"Alright... I'll take her in. But I don't know where to appoint her ?" Rick said with a doubted face.
"Don't worry Uncle. It's very simple. Just send my mother as your company representative to propose some business deal with my future daddy's company" the little one said with immense strength in her voice, the other three felt as though she's their boss while they're all working under her.
Isabella really felt her baby behaving being so different from her usual self. 'She's becoming more and more uncontrollable these days' she thought while walking towards the girl.
"Baby...what nonsense are you spouting? Apologize immediately" Isabella said pulling her child to a side facing both the men.
The child didn't heed much to her mother's words and stared at both the men before her.
"Decide among yourselves. I'll give you five minutes. One of you can take my mother into your company but you have to help me match her up with my future daddy" the little one said again before walking towards the sofa.
Isabella wanted to stitch up her child's running mouth. Her words sounded not only inappropriate for her age to speak but also unreasonable for her to talk in such a bossy manner towards elders.
Isabella bent down to her daughter's level and while holding her daughter's hands she glared at the child to warn her. But the child still paid no attention to her mother's warning gaze.
She simply stood where she was and lifted her head looking up at the men.
Both the men felt like living in a dream when they heard the girl's words. 'Such a cute darling making a deal, it's best to submit to her than to hurt this little angel' both had the same thought.
They raised their hands within a span of few seconds and said the same thing simultaneously "I'll give her the job"
Recognizing each other voices, Rick and Paul glared at each other.
Isabella was more than shocked. She looked at the men with a shocked expression and thought
'Do these guys even know what they're saying? How can they play along with her like kids?'
Isabella didn't want to prolong the discussion and simply said looking at both men. "Sorry...guys. I think I should leave"
Isabella then dragged the child towards her and pulled her out of the room and all the way down to the ground floor.
Isabella wanted to make a deal with her senior Paul by proposing something worthy to make an attack on her enemies but she's now thrown into a deep pit of shame.
'How can I show my face again to senior Paul and his friend Rick? This girl's acting like this just because she found someone good enough to be her dad. Will she ever listen to anyone when she really got a daddy for herself?' Isabella thought while dragging her child out of the company.
She looked at the ten floored building behind her and said to herself in her heart 'Shit...Bella...this man's your most trusted friend. Now everything's gone. What to do now?'
The little girl didn't say anything and just followed her mother. She really wanted a good man to become her father so that he would take care of both her and her mother. But all her hopes were now evaporated into thin air.
Rick and Paul were left in the office room alone which made them look pitiful to others. These friends became enemies within minutes because of a child but that ordeal couldn't avoid them to do what they usually do when they're both alone.
This situation looked more than appropriate for them to go for a round of gaming. They both entered Paul's resting lounge attached to the office room and buried themselves in video games for hours and forgot the matter that happened before completely.
Isabella walked away from the building and spoke to her daughter with doubt in her mind "Baby...you really think that man suits to be your father?"
"What do you think of him?" she returned the question to her mother.
"He looks rather good but I guess we can find a better person" Isabella said so that her child would drop the idea of finding that man again.
Seeing her baby not saying anything, Isabella held her daughter's hand tightly. With her mother's grip around her hand, the child smiled while saying
"Ohh...really. I think the same. Don't worry mom...I won't look for that man again..."
'I just played a game with you today as a preview...I sure have a movie to play ahead..' The little girl silently walked ahead as she remembered the other man she saw when she's in the waiting room and smiled secretly.
