"It's your greed that ruined her and not me..." Mr. Romano's harsh words twisted George's heart.
George was so heartbroken, he couldn't bring out words to retort against his father.
He silently walked out of the house driving to the place he first met the girl he loved.
--------
Helena's apartment...living room
Isabella was seated on the sofa while watching the TV and the child was below the couch with a bunch of colouring books spread across the floor.
"Isabella... how's the meeting?" Helena asked right at the moment she walked into the house from her office.
"Crashed..." Isabella sighed and looked at her daughter who was colouring in a book.
"What... Isn't he your senior? You explained your reasons for the past incident, right? How can he be so heartless" Helena asked in confusion.
'How can this man be so cruel? Useless bastard' Helena cursed inwardly.
"Yeah..I told everything but something unusual happened that caused us to cancel the deal. You don't be mad with him...I can still find other companies to work with" Isabella said smiling at Helena but kept looking at her daughter again.
"Okay....Ask me if you need any help" Helena said before walking into her room to wash up.
Even after Helena left the living room, Isabella kept staring at her daughter for a long time without speaking anything.
"Mommy....I know. I know. It's my fault. Can't you just scold me to vent your anger all at once? Why do you keep looking at me like you're gazing at your prey?" the baby bursted out in a flow turning her head to look at her mother's face.
"See.... I'm taking my punishment" the child immediately kneeled before Isabella and raised her arms up with obedience.
"Now that you know your fault, you'll immediately apologize to Uncle Paul and Uncle Rick for your rudeness. Okay" Isabella said glaring at her daughter and took her mobile to call Paul.
But Isabella doesn't know how to react to her daughter's obedience in taking her own punishment. She still made her the little pie to kneel to let her know her mistakes.
'Should I laugh or cry? Her personality's becoming too complicated for me to understand...' Isabella sighed.
"Mommy... though I apologize to them wholeheartedly, You should know those small companies won't risk fighting openly with their rivals. How can you still have hopes on them?" the little child shook her head helplessly.
'Is my mother becoming delusional because of her overconfidence? How can she win against those sharks using small fries?' child thought.
"Baby....how can you talk like that? Who said my senior wouldn't help me? Isn't that because of your messing with him that I left the company in shame? He would have still aid me when I'm in need. But now, how can I show my face again to him?" Isabella said crossing her arms over her chest and stood up from her seat looking at her child.
"Mom...When did I mess up your plans...? I was creating a better path for you. Until when are you planning to fight against those two big corporations using some small subsidiaries? You should always catch a big fish using a net and not with the rod. You should find a backup plan before entering the battle" the child said like a professional advisor while looking up at her mother's crumpled face.
"Baby...are you really my child? Why do I feel like you're not mine anymore?" Isabella said lowering herself to the child's height and looked at her daughter with a worried face and her eyes dampening.
"Mommy... I'm still your daughter. It's just..now that you're fighting with others for our better future, I'm trying to help you....And that's why I already told you.... that you don't have to bother searching for my daddy" the baby stood up and said comforting Isabella by patting on her shoulder.
'haha..how can I mistake my own daughter..?when she's still the same little devil who always dreamt of finding the best father' Isabella thought but voiced nothing.
"Mommy....I'll find the best person as my daddy? don't worry...And I'll also look into the best ways you can work...just tell me what all you can do" the child said in an effective tone.
Isabella was baffled at first but she regained her calmness again now that she's already accustomed to her child's way of handling things with her sophisticated mind.
"Baby...I, myself an elder can't find one proper job in a single company. How can you a child do such things? Don't you think you're acting too high for your age?" Isabella questioned in a jeering tone and sat back on the sofa.
"Mommy.... I'm not acting too high...you are not recognizing your own abilities. You've got so much potential yet you're thinking of relying on someone else. You...can do things on your own too" the child stated her opinion frankly walking closer to her mother.
"Working on my own....like starting up a company...Is that what you really wanted me to do? Then you and I will have to fight those people for decades" Isabella said with evident hopelessness in her eyes.
Her mother's dull face made the child to walk much closer to her mother with a straight face and deep eyes. she pressed her mother's shoulders before turning back to say her words.
"You.... should first set a basic foundation to stand before building the walls...I remember this announcement I saw during the morning news. It's about some fashion designing contest kind of thing...You always sketch random stuff..now you sketch something with concentration and send your works for that competition. A good exposure will bring you immense fame and connections than working from darkness" the child enlightened her hopeless mother like a scholar with her arms folded behind her tiny body.
Isabella glanced at her child who looked more like an ancient educator training his disciples for the battle field.
"Baby...you are just four. You must be forgetting that... I'm your mother and not your student.." Isabella pinched her daughter's nose.
"Being my mother is your fate...guiding you from behind with my knowledge is my duty....Mom..Either you find that intelligent dad of mine or you stop nagging me..choose one" the child said clearly in a demanding tone before walking away.
