"Here kid," one of the Frontier Guild supervising attendants handed Miles a white crystal card. "See if you have any luck with—" the man's words promptly stopped as Miles touched the crystal card and instantly lit the construct alight.

Description: As impressive as it is sad that you have such terrible talent for apparently all cold arms, it honestly could be worse.

Description: Amazing, even worse than your cold arms' talent is that of your hot arms' talent… Now, if you really want to impress me, you'd decide to main in one of these fields; that'd be low-key hilarious.

Description: Welp, it's honestly not that unexpected to see you possess a talent of this degree when every other talent you've discovered about yourself (thus far) is so atrocious. Yeah, it works on some sort of balancing system or whatever but that's irrelevant to this Talent's Description. The point is, you have a lot of potential for casting Healing Magic. Like, enough to instantly learn all Common Healing Skills and easily reach Level 200 even if you trained at a leisurely pace in this lifetime.

Name: Healing Spell: Lesser Restore

Classification: Acquired Common Skill

Level: 1

Description: Aptly known as the "bread and butter" of healers, you can spam this Spell to remedy just about any problem. Is your target tired? Sleepy? Hungry? Wounded? Poisoned? Cursed? About to die? Well, if you level this bad boy up enough, you can fix all those problems with a single cast.

Cost and Effect: ~20% of current Magic instantly Reverse Heals 5% 'Reversible Damage' of the target's Health.]

"Uh… Sorry about the crystal card," Miles bashfully said, cutting the tension that had filled the now-silent room with his inability to read the social environment.

"Forget the card," the supervisor who had handed him the card grabbed Miles on both his shoulders. "What about the Spell? Did you seriously just instantly learn that Healing Spell?"

"I guess I did," Miles tilted his head and mildly thought, 'I mean, I know all the steps to cast Restore. But, I haven't really gone through the motions yet to see if it'll work out for me.'

"Kid, do you know what this means?!" The supervisor shook Miles until he suddenly stopped. "This… This would be unprecedented. A Healing Talent comparable to the Setting Stars' Founders..."

The man suddenly produced a knife from… somewhere. He slammed his left hand onto the table to his right and then used his right hand to drive the knife through the middle of the back of his left hand!

"Sir..." Miles didn't know how to react, and yet…

"Holy shit!"

"That guy's fucking insane."

"Yo, he really just stabbed himself..."

Mile's reaction was among the most tame and respectful.

Pulling the knife out of his hand with a face that didn't show even a hint of pain, the supervisor addressed Miles, "Come on kid, if you really learned that Spell at the touch of a crystal, use it on me."

Description: Ignore the insane circumstances revolving around this event. Frontier Guild members ought to be a little crazy with all the shit they see outside the safety of the empire's walls. Instead, take this opportunity to test your Healing Skills in a controlled environment! With a willing recipient, no less.

Rewards: 5 System Points per successful cast of a Healing Spell.]

"Thanks for the opportunity… I guess," Miles bowed.

He raised his right hand and extended his index finger, taking aim at the supervisor's wound. At the tip of his extended finger, a white crest formed of magic lines instantly manifested and glowed as Miles narrowed his eyes.

No less than a second later, his target — the supervisor's wounded, bleeding hand — glowed with the same light and literally restored itself to its former, healthy state. There was no left over blood, nor a scar to suggest the man had stabbed his hand in the first place.

As Miles took a deep breath and subconsciously called for his Status to estimate how many more times he'd need to cast the spell for it to Level Up, the supervisor and most everyone else present were having internal meltdowns about what they had just witnessed.

Miles was supposed to be a Primary Cultivator; a talentless wreck with a worthless Class to match. He should not have been capable of instantly learning a Healing Spell, nevermind successfully cast the Spell he had just learned moments prior. Even specialized, unique Healing Classes found only in the descendants of a Clan's main branch wouldn't be able to pull that off.

"Oh my god, oh my god, oh my— Wait!" Miles' supervisor struck mental eureka as he realized his thoughts about Miles' talents were shaping up to meet his expectations.

Faster than most present could react, the man flickered out and back into the room with more white crystal cards. Practically forcing them onto Miles, he said, "Here, these are all the other Common Healing Spell cards we currently have. Let's see if your talent holds up for the rest—"

Just then, one of the cards made contact with Miles' bare skin and exploded into a shower of light. The supervisor in all his enthusiasm decided then and there to just put the rest of the cards in Miles' hands and thus, the room momentarily reached blinding levels of brightness.

Description: For when you want to eliminate a target's Status Effect, but nothing else.

Cost and Effect: ~10% of current Magic has ~85% chance of erasing one of the target's Status Effect.

Restrictions: Effective only on Common Grade Status Effects. Current level of proficiency does not allow you to choose which Status Effect is eliminated if the target possesses more than one.

Description: For when you want to restore a target's Magic, but nothing else.

Cost and Effect: 75% of chosen cost is transferred as viable Magic for the target.]
