It's been years since I've remembered my past memories. Things have been moving according to the storyline with a few differences, which I believe is due to my interference, unfortunately though I haven't been able to stop Celeste from falling in love with Ares. My bond with the lady though is much closer than the original Prince Sirius along with my relationship with Lark and the family. Though the original Prince Sirius was close to them but it wasn't to this extent, something that I'm glad about.
Celeste and I have been training together and she was as good as me now. Ares just like in the story is good at almost everything; which is enviable, Raven is growing to be more graceful just like in the story- is what I'd like to say but, now I see that it is only a facade for others and her true self is really childish and sly. I have tried perfecting Sirius' skills that he was known for and others as well which I was good at back in my past.
Currently everyone is excited about Celeste's and my debutante ball. As per the law, we debut into the social circle at the age of 15 and next year Celeste and I will be enrolling into the Royal Academy. But what I need to look out for now is another event- when Ares meets with Helen.
In a month's time is the debutante ball will be held in the palace for everyone. Celeste has been excitedly talking about the new dress she ordered with her seamstress, my clothes are also nearly ready. While for Celeste I dropped in a few ideas and colors that she would look good and as for mine on the other hand was originally going to be just my ideas but then Raven and Celeste said that they wanted to add some things- I have no clue what exactly though. Unknown to Celeste I also made the seamstress do some changes. Which means in the end we are both just as clueless about our outfits.
Finally, the day came, the day when Ares meets his true love: Helen. I secretly followed Ares as he went out, disguised of course! In this world I am a Prince but I couldn't help it, when the old me played the game before this scene was the highlight of the game. And true to the original game plot Ares saved Helen from a bunch of ruffians, when he saw her in trouble, he ordered the men to stop but instead they gave the most classic line I've ever heard, "If you don't want to get hurt get lost little brat." Ares didn't wait a moment longer and pulled out his sword with its scabbard and quickly finished them. He even had the local security throw them into prison. While everything went well and without problem, I'm disappointed that even this scene changed a bit. In the original Ares tried to talk to them out of their plans and Helen got a small cut on her hand when she was roughly pushed away by the men as they ran to fight Ares. But this time Ares finished them off right at the start. After that Ares escorted Helen as they spent the entire day together. Just like in the story Helen was really grateful to Ares and wanted to become his friend, I thought that Ares also felt the same but once or twice I saw a slight gleam in his eyes but, before I could even properly see it, it was gone.
By the end of the day, Helen had brought a small broach as a gift to Ares for saving her and they parted ways. I too went home not long after, I stayed a bit longer because I didn't want to reach back along with Ares just in case it seemed odd. When I reached back, I was greeted by Lark and a pouting Raven and Celeste, I turned to Lark silently asking what happened, Lark understood and explained, "Her Highness Raven and Lady Celeste and mad at you for leaving them and going out on your own to have fun." I turned to the two girls in front of me asking them, "How do you two know I went out to have fun and not for work?"
"You didn't take Lark, your butler/ secretary with you." replied Celeste.
I was stumped, I couldn't tell them the truth so I racked my brains as to where I was. But I turned up blank so I simply said, "It-it was w-work." the two didn't believe my obvious lie but let it go when I promised to take them somewhere tomorrow.
The next morning, I was woken up Lark like usual, soon after getting up and dressed I went to eat breakfast. At the table Raven excitedly asked, "So where and when are we going??" Our parents gave me a questioning look so I explained what happened yesterday, they both smiled and gave was the okay to go, but Mother added, "Raven I don't want to hear that you caused your brother any trouble alright?" Raven nodded; she would probably agree with anything as long as she was allowed to go. After talking a bit more we headed back to our jobs, well except in the case of Raven and me; we both went to get ready. As I changed I thought about where we should even go when I suddenly remembered a spot that Sirius had found one day in the game, it was beautiful and the girls would probably like it too so I ordered Lark to get some food and drinks packed as well since it was a bit away we could make the outing into a picnic. Lark nodded and went away a I looked at my outfit in the mirror, it was a simple formal white shirt, the collar opened with a thin black ribbon bow on it, paired with a pair of black pants and a long navy blue coat that seemed more black than blue with silver trimmings along the edges and raised collar and not to forget my black knee high boots with silver designs. Since I was satisfied with it, I walked out of my room and to where the carriage was waiting to go. Once I reached out, I saw the girls right away and nearly winced at the outfits, the fashion trends between here and my world was a bit off-throwing.
They looked pretty, Raven wore a light green casual gown, it was simple- a heart neck with the center having a white lily stitched in, her skirt was two-layered with the first being parted in the middle and the second was a white color to match the lily, the back seemed to copy a corset like bindings along the back that ended with a bow. The sleeves were long and widened from her forearm, the edge had white frills a bit longer than the green at the end. Whereas, Celeste on the other hand, had a light yellow and white version of the same design with a rose in place of Raven's lily. The two were facing their backs to me talking to someone else, when I got a view of him, I saw that it was Ares, I was surprised to see him here. Earlier when we invited him, he seemed to be reluctant, he was dressed similar to me except that he didn't use a bow but kept his collar empty.
When I walked up to them and said, "I thought you didn't want to come Ares." Ares looked away softly saying, "Changed my mind." I smirked at him as we all got into the carriage.
A few hours after riding the carriage as we passed, he time by looking out or talking about various things we reached the place. It was a really small and hidden valley just a while from the academy. As we got out and everything was set for us, we all sat down in the shade as the girls and Ares looked around. I guess they liked it just as much by the look in their eyes. We talked as we ate some sandwiches and some lemonade, after that we decided to go for a walk and look around. The valley had a fairly large lake in the middle as grass and flowers surrounded it while the hills around shielded the place from others. The walk lead to us going into the lake to dip our legs into the clear and cool water.
By the end of the day everyone was tired and ready to go back home, so we packed and rode back admiring the soft glow of the sunset along the way as it shone through the foliage or reflected beautifully on the surface of the lake.
