She tossed and tossed, her arms spread around the bed searching for her source of warmth but she found it not. The duvet that was used to cover her body earlier had been kicked to the ground.
Her body shivered and her eyes were forced to open. She used her hand to pull down her nightgown and sat up. She looked at the other side of the bed and found it empty. She reached her hand to touch the side and found it cold.
Weird. She thought, that only meant that he had left the for a long time now. Believing he would be somewhere around the house, she left the bed. She bent down and picked the duvet before returning it back to the bed.
