"Why..." Amelia said in a small voice causing Rhea to look at her with an arched brow.
Why? Rhea thought. What other reason could be given. She was a Lawyer by profession and it was part of her obligation to stand in for others. At first, she had chosen this case because she she could not remain idle but now, she was finding the case more interesting. She found no reason not to take up the case at all.
"Why? You think I am not good enough to be your mother's Lawyer?" Rhea said in a clear voice.
"No... No, it is not that at all. It's just that... I have been to so many lawyers, no one is interested in taking up the case and—"
"You think because no one is taking up the case I also should not?" Rhea raised a questioning brow. "Or.. you think all of those Lawyers who rejected the case are better than I am?" She narrowed her gaze at Amelia when she said this.
