I headed home with the sack of nuts, and went up the elevator to my apartment.
My mom opened the door for me, and asked me what I was doing with the bag of peanuts.
"I got told that peanuts are good for getting bigger", I said.
"OK, who told you this?", asked my mom.
It took me a few seconds to admit. "The gym trainer", I spoke.
"Did you join a gym?", she asked, "how did you get the money?"
"I have been saving that money I asked for to buy snacks", I said. "There is this gym nearby that is only 500 rupees a month, so I signed up for a month", I explained.
"Can I see this gym?", my mother asked.
I agreed, I thought she may not be okay with me going, but maybe I was wrong here as well.
I led my mom to the exact location of the Muscle House gym half a block away from the other side of the nearby train station, and led her inside.
She was surprised at the loud music in the gym, but luckily it wasn't anything dirty.
The trainer was in plain sight.
"Hello, can you tell me what you do here?", asked my mother.
"I am the only trainer of this gym", responded the trainer, I have been working out as a hobby and amateur bodybuilder for 18 years, so 5 years ago I opened this gym", he answered.
"So you were a trainer for 5 years?", my mom answered.
"Yes", he replied. "I felt that the gyms in this area weren't serious enough for my taste, and gave out a lot of misleading and incomplete training information, so I started my own where only I am in charge", he answered.
"You look very strong", said my mom, "how did you get like this?"
"I have been working out since I was 13", back then I was as small as your son here.
"Oh, how long did it take you to get like this?", asked my mom.
"Longer then anyone thinks it did", he answered. "Even after 15 years of training I wasn't quite as strong as I am now", he continued, "last month I broke my record for strict curls with 30kg dumbbell".
"Okay", my mother answered, "so what else did you tell him?", asked mom.
"You see, your son is badly underweight", explained the trainer. "Not only does this make him weak, it slows down his body and makes him more prone to diseases". my mother nodded in agreement. "My gym is a bodybuilding gym, so curing skinniness is one of my specialties".
"OK", said my mother. "How much fees did Samar pay?"
"Exactly 500 rupees, for one month membership", answered the trainer.
"You saved that much money on you junk food allowance?", my mother asked me.
"Yeah, junk food is pretty expensive", I answered.
"I will tell you if I decide to join this gym", my mother answered, "its a pretty cute place".
So there it was, parental approval, now it seemed getting that big ass diet the trainer told me to eat would be a lot easier.
