The next day, Tristan headed straight for school, when he entered the classroom, he found a crowd of people at the window side. It seems everyone was interested at the cute transfer student. Luna was making a troubled face in the center of her classmates.
And right at that moment, the chime signifying the start of class rang and everyone went back to their seats while waving back. He saw Luna exhaled, after she waved back to them.
Even she wasn't used to getting that much attention, Tristan walked to his seat, but he just then noticed something different, not that it wasn't usual.
But he noticed a piece of paper under his desk, when he unwrapped it, thinking that it was just another threat letter by one of his classmates.
Reflexively, Tristan looked at Luna, the girl was maintaining a neutral expression, but Tristan noticed the fluctuations in her aura.
At that day's break time. After Tristan sneaked out of the classroom, he headed towards the stairs leading to the roof.
Since it was far away from the Classroom block, there aren't many students that would come here. Actually, the stairs was so quiet that it made the hustle and bustle echoing in the school a lie.
However, that does not signify the fact that no one was here.
There was already one girl standing there. It was the transfer student, who is the topic of the week; Luna Lumineux.
Knowing that the one who called him was already here, Tristan took out a torn piece of paper from his pocket and showed it to Luna.
"Err, this"
Yes. Luna herself, had called Tristan out here.
"Sorry. Calling you out all of a sudden"
"ah, that's... It's fine, so, what do you want?"
Tristan acted a bit more vigilant, after all not only his target for observation is a dangerous existence, his own eyes is a treasure that most supernatural crave for. Not because they are hungry, but it's characteristics, the ability to see through everything, the Eyes of Heimdall.
There's a possibility that she would manifest her abilities and attack him.
Luna scratched her cheeks while thinking for a moment, after that she took out her phone and fiddled with it for a while.
"Hey, Tristan"
"Ehh?"
Tristan made a surprised face. He noticed it already, he never introduced himself to her, nor did he even talk to her yesterday, and yet, she already knew his name, reflexively, Tristan reached out from the back of his blazer, his hand wrapped around the handle of the Glock he holstered.
Immediately, Luna understood the meaning of Tristan being surprised.
"So-sorry. Mr. Blitz. Sorry for calling you all of a sudden like that"
"Uh... Wait How'd you even know my name?"
Luna awkwardly scratched her cheek, "I asked our classmates, I never had the chance to ask you personally, so... Sorry"
For a bit, Tristan felt relieved that she didn't knew him beforehand, he relaxed a bit and moved his hand away from his pistol.
"So... Why did you call me here?"
Tristan put the subject back on track, Luna made an expression as she recalled it, and started approaching him.
"Sorry, if I'm wrong, but I need to confirm something, from you"
She flashed a screenshot of a news footage from her phone, Tristan didn't find anything unusual but from it, it was a local news about the Helheim City, the Incident on a big drug syndicate being arrested by the HCPD.
"Is this you?"
Luna zoomed in on the corner of the screen, upon seeing it, Tristan broke in cold sweat, he saw Ralph on the corner dragging himself while looking all battered, next to them was the executive members of DESTINY.
"Uh...."
"So?" Seeing his expression, Luna became more pressing.
"No, No, that's just a look alike, you know how it is in Helheim City"
"Then what about this?"
The next one she showed was an aerial footage of the recent Magic Beast Incident, not only that but seven people were surrounded by a horde of magic beasts, it was a footage that caught most of the DESTINY's main players on scene, among them was also Tristan.
"Clearly, that's you, right?"
Unable to find any more excuses, Tristan decided to change the subject.
"What's this about anyway? Why did you even think that's me, I'm just a normal student, also why did you even have a footage about a local news?"
He can't just openly admit that he was part of DESTINY, in the first place it was a secret society, normal citizens shouldn't learn about their existence.
she made a bitter smile and replied
"I've never really fitted in with my previous school, but I've always been interested in Helheim City since I was a kid, so keeping updated about this City was the only thing I can do. There's been a rumour on the internet that there was a secret organisation behind most incidents in Helheim City"
"So, can I ask what this is all about?"
"I was just wondering if you were a member of DESTINY?"
"WAHH!!!" Tristan hurriedly stopped her "What are you talking about? There's no way I could be a member of that rumour"
"But that reaction..."
Tristan closed in his distance to the girl and Whispered. "Listen, I suggest you stop looking into that DESTINY, I've heard that people looking into them would suddenly go missing and never be found again, so if you value your life, you should stop now"
Luna made a disappointed face as she sighed "I understand... Sorry for taking your time..."
Taking into consideration that the girl gave up prying into his secret, Tristan breathed a sigh of relief.
"Well, lunch time is almost over, I'll go back now"
"Ah, wait, just a sec!" Before Tristan could leave, Luna quickly caught his arm.
"Is there anything else?"
"Uhm... How do I say this... We're able to make each other's acquaintances, so... Would you want to swap numbers?"
"...Eh? W-Why?"
"Oh come on... So, we can contact each other"
"Ah, right, right..."
