Fast forward to 8 years into the future .
My dad has officially retired from the Business world and has been living life looking after his 2 grandkids Lumine and Chris currently 7 years of age now and goodness they grow up so fast , as for i well , i am still the World leading Business Women and still top of the country since no one has ever beaten me .
My bodyguard team has expanded since on my highest ranking not only i have my original 5 but added another 5 as well they are Mat , Kyle , Hans , Izzy and Xander these 5 look after Lumine and Chris if i'm ever on travels if not majority of the time they are stuck with me and my dad will be the one over looking at their studies and what not.
I have spent millions on the kids and of course not spoiling them with luxury goods and what not but more of the education , and their daily pocket money are such a hassle , Pram has slowed down quite a bit. I must say he's getting rather old and poor thing . . . i don't wish to let him go either. He knows so much more than anyone else in the house especially when the new 5 came in. He taught them from scratch .
Well this is part of life isn't it we start from young we grow old live life . . .
But there's something still bothering me up till now… Baji … oh boy he has been avoiding me for the past 8 years and boy it's getting annoying that he doesn't spend time with me anymore he always swapped places with Charlie or Shane to get away from me aish … maybe i shouldn't kiss him in the first place we would not be in this state where he is always avoiding me ….
It just feels like any other normal day. I am usually working in the office during the weekdays and weekends. I spend my time with the kids . So currently in the meeting of taking over another company that is going to fall again. Listening just makes me wanna puke. I just handed it over to Mike to handle the situation and let me know of the result .
Its past 5 so i packed up my stuff and have Draken my extra bags for me and we headed home to the smell of wonderful dinner being brewed in the kitchen and not to forget to be greeted by my dad and my 2 kids
" MOMMY MOMMY!" Lumine and Chris jumped off from their chairs and rushed over to give me a big hug.
I bend down a little and gave them both a kiss on the cheek and forehead and ruffled their hair
"How's school today ? "
"It was so fun! The teacher was teaching us about these new math problems and somehow Lumine and I can always do it better than the whole class!" Chris exclaimed
"Really so my tuition paid off well uh ? " I folded my arms
"Mom , we are just Primary school kids, we do not need much tuition … " Lumine wined
"So ? you guys have weaknesses in the long run , it's best to understand them now and improve . Now Have the both of you showered? Because I want to eat dinner." i cried
Both of them looked at each other and quickly rushed to their own rooms to shower while I joined my dad on the couch .
"So how's work today . " My dad asked while reading the papers.
" Not bad , I'm taking over another company again " I said and took the water that Draken handed over to me.
"You are getting too powerful Stella " My dad complained
"Dad i know what i am doing so do not worry about it okay , besides i am still at the top "
"By the way , I just received a call from my cousin his mother just died . " Dad lowered his head and placed the papers aside.
"Oh no , 3rd Great grandmother passed on ? how did she do it?"
"Old age my dear, haven't you noticed during family meetings and gatherings she never appeared anymore? " my dad questioned me
"Dad , ever since I became the head of the household , I tend to be around the other heads of the Extended family. Plus now that you mentioned it the last time I saw her was maybe 3 years back? But yes it is sad that she passed on so sudden . "
"Well , I will be going to the funeral tomorrow until the 5th day , come and pay your respects . ``My dad tapped my back and got up and walked to the dining hall .
"Madm , do you want me to clear your schedule tomorrow till the 5th day ?" Draken asked,
"No. and i will explain later "
The kids came rushing down and hugged me again smelling all so fresh and warm ahh this is home , they quickly sat at the dining table and joining us is the remaining 10 bodyguards and Pram served the food together with charlie and Draken Baji too and my favourite Tom yum soup , with the side of Basil pork , spring rolls everything Thai ahh .
Everything was already being placed on the table everyone started eating and the kids weren't allowed to eat spice yet so pram would always make them something on the side . so they won't have to deal with the chilli . Everyone was then having normal dinner conversations and once everyone was done eating they quickly packed up the table and went to wash the dishes while I accompanied the kids to do their homework in the study .
"So what is 1+0 "
"0!" Chris exclaimed
"No! Its 1" Lumine smacked her brother's head
"Yes that's correct now , you must remember if a number bigger adds to 0 , the bigger number will always eat up the 0 understand "
Both of them quickly finished their homework and headed to bed at 9.30 pm Sharp , i tucked both of them into bed nicely and told them a bedtime story
"So there was once , Mommy had been to some magical country and of all the things that they had you know what they had there? What made them so magical and special ? "
"Do they have flying cars?! " Chris exclaimed
"Nooo , certainly not , they have a unicorn , it was bigger than a normal hose with a horn on top of its head it has this white colour to it that made it look magical that's when i opened my eyes to the world of the wonder it was so pretty i wanna take it home. "
"So why didn't you ? " Lumine questioned
"If i were to bring it back here , it would crush little unicorns in the other country and it would make them sad, now sleep my children i will see you tomorrow morning " i kissed them both on the cheek and forehead before exiting out of the room letting out a sigh …
I made my way to the home office and flopped on the chair , just in time Draken came in with some snacks and drinks .
"Thank god i have you Draken , what would i do without you "
"You will probably be crying and drinking wine, am I right?" Draken answered.
"Oh shut up and sit down "
"By the way Boss, why don't you want to cancel your plans for the rest of the week to attend the funeral ?" Draken asked
"Let me explain to you , I am currently one of the 40 family heads currently holding the high chair position. So when one family loses a family member , the remaining 39 family heads have to attend on the same day and pay our respects together which usually takes place on the 3rd day as for other family members that are not in the high chair position they can attend when and whenever they like . "
"I see, will you bring Lumine and Chris to the funeral as well ?" Draken questioned
"To be honest I am still deciding …. Its basic respect of course … I am afraid that they will ask about their dad. And you know Damien is still on the loose after all these years… even Rin and Shane haven't given up looking for more clues . "
"Decide well boss. But seriously there are 40 family heads?" Draken looked shocked
"You will meet them on Wednesday , i will introduce you to each other slowly "
"Yes Boss " Draken replied and helped me start planning my plans for the next month and what other things I need to take note of for the remaining month …
Ugh the month of February just started not too long ago and we are in the first week of it everything already seems so chaotic and messy … we continued to do the work till it was midnight and called it a night well just me Draken headed to bed first after finished planning while i stayed behind and continued to sort out more documents and sign contracts for interns . . .
While I was on the way to the kitchen , I noticed the front door was slightly open so i quietly tiptoe and hid behind the door to overhear Baji's voice and Charlie's voice.
" Baji, I am sick of swapping positions with you for work , are you avoiding Boss for some reason?" Charlie questioned
"Charlie , it's just for the time being okay, " Baji replied.
"No it's not for the time being , it has been going on for 7 years Baji , 7 years I have been swapping with you , Rin and Shane have been swapping with you . Draken would not even swap with you " Charlie pointed everything out clearly Baji is hiding something….
"Charlie… I fell in love with the Boss . . . 7 years ago … " Baji said and lowered his head not wanting to make eye contact.
"WHAT!" Charlie exclaimed
"Shut up , don't want to wake up anyone… Look, it happened 7 years ago , remember the boss was sick after her pregnancy and I took that bowl of congee to her yea… she kissed me and asked me how I felt towards her romantically and of course I didn't reply because I didn't want to lose my job as her bodyguard… So I didn't reply to her until today … " Baji said, letting out a sigh afterwards.
After hearing these words , i leaned against the doorframe and pushed it wide open causing both of them to go in shock
"So this is why you have been avoiding me for 8 years uh Baji " crossed my arms
"Boss! No it's not what you think!" Baji shot straight up and started apologising , aww how cute he is trying to amend things now .
"Follow me Baji . "
I walked into the house and into the home office, letting Baji enter first and locking the door when I entered. He awkwardly stood in the center of the room while I sat on my desk chair.
"So you avoided me for 8 years because I kissed you ? "
Baji nods his head
"So you liked me all these years ?"
He nods his head again
" For god sake Baji answered me!" I raised my voice and slammed my hand on the table . letting out a sigh after that
I got up from the chair and stood in front of Baji and Pushed him onto the sofa and made sure he stayed still . my fingers followed every part of his body , i looked at him and he was so afraid i might tie him and whip him but no , i was just playing with his body . I straddled on top of him and pulled him to sit up now we are facing each other and there is no way he can escape my gaze now , i place my finger under his chin and lift it up to look at me
I lowered my head slightly making our lips touch and ahh~ that feeling these fireworks in me just exploded like nothing ever happened , Baji allowed my tongue to gain access and soon it turned into a make out session now im below Baji fuck this is hot stuff.
We paused to catch our breath
"So What are you going to do about us now?"
"I don't know … " Baji replied .
"Baji , I like you and 8 years is killing me. . . you avoided me for 8 years swapping roles with everyone else just to get away from me , is it that bad to be with me? Am I not good enough for you ?"
"NOOOO , NOO! It's just I do not know how things are going to change if we were lovers , do I still protect you as a bodyguard? Or be the lover to you , it's confusing sometimes … " Baji sighed and got off me and sat next to me
I looked at him and pulled him close to me .
"Listen , You still can be my bodyguard for work but when we are home or on Day's that im not working we can be lovers. How does that sound? "
All he could do was just to smile and nod his head at me. I patted his head and walked out of the room and back into mine before I could enter my room. I felt someone hugging me from behind and I turned to see it was Baji .
"Thank you , Love " Baji said and kissed me on the cheek and ran off to his room
I smiled and entered my room quickly, took a shower and went to bed .
