"So what do we have off now?"
Everyone was seated around the AI table and looking at the footages of the camera in the states
"Ethan and Damien are on the move recently , they have been spotted in Vegas , New York and Florida , from what we understand they may be gathering up men to fly over to Paris to harm us. Or rather they want us all dead at this very moment" Shane explained
"If it's this case, should we move to the safe house immediately? " Draken asked
"No , we won't know when they will come and the kids are too young to understand anything now if i were to be separated from the kids they will go crazy "
"Let's wait and figure out what they are trying to do , we let them come to us . "
"Boss it's too risky , even if they manage to gather enough men before the kids go on holiday during those 7 days you will be in danger '' Matt made a fair point.
I may or may not die during the fight that he wants and this is purely all revenge,
"Boss, may I suggest that we lay low all of the business activities at the moment ." Kyle suggested.
"True , they could be watching the news on a daily basis . . . Draken sent out an email to all head departments in the office for a meeting tomorrow 10am ."
"Yes boss, I'll get right to it, '' Draken said and took out the tablet and started writing the email.
The door swung open and it was Charlie , Baji and the kids i switched off the table and smiled at them
"Hey kiddo's you guys are done? "
"Mommy you said you will put us to bed ! " Chris was making a fuss as usual …
"But mommy has to work kiddos, could Uncle Baji and Uncle Charlie put you guys to bed? "
"Can I have Uncle Draken and Uncle Matt put us to bed?" Lumine asked nicely
"Well boys? "
Matt and Draken took the kids to their bedrooms and Charlie and Baji joined us , starting everything fresh again, going through everything with Baji and Charlie keeping them up to date with everything.
Once Draken and Matt were done with putting the kids to sleep we went back to do our work, discussing our next move against them .
"If we need men i think i know there's someone we can call "
"Who ?" Baji asked
"I'll only be able to talk to him tomorrow , it's a risky move but whatever it takes we need help , if he's planning a war against me just to get my power and control over the business world this could end up really badly. "
"Boss , we have been looking through all the flies and recent people you or the people have hired and so far there's only one that stands out . '' Shane pointed out and dragged the profile onto the screen with its information on everything there.
" The name's Titus yong , age 35 , nationality American , for all we know he moved to Paris a year ago and went missing for 6 months before resurfacing and joined the company like 4 months ago , no information about his family and status is Single apparently not sure if its a lie or not " Rin said
"Out of thousands we hired, is this the only guy that stands out? Anymore? "
"We are still checking his background and his circle of friends but there is another person is more of a lady to be precise " Rin pointed out and brought out the information
"Nicole Monet , age 28, Nationality French , graduated from UOP 2 years back with a degree . previously was working at a retail store and someone hired her not too long as well she is 9 months in the company " Shane points out
"Okay , we will monitor the both of them, bring up CCTV footage of the both of them and keep a lookout , the remaining 5 that don't follow me to the office keep watch of the 2 people the renaming 5 will still follow me to the office every single day ."
"Yes Boss" Everyone said
Everyone was dismissed after that , i was the first one to walk out and i went to kiss the kids goodnight then went into my room and Baji followed me behind me. And joined me in the shower we soaked in the tub one end each . then cuddled in bed after the shower watching the tv play some old show from the early 2010's
"Baji, can I ask you something?"
"Sure honey" Baji replied and looked at me
"Were you afraid of me when I pulled the trigger and killed someone?"
"No " he replied quick
"What if"
"Don't what if Stella, you are not going to die , once we are done with Damien we are going to get married and live a happy life with Lumine and Chris it " He replied and kissed my forehead we continued to lay in bed and fell asleep in each others arms after awhile . . .
The next morning Baji woke me with kisses all over hugging me from the back , i made a groaning sound that caused him to be more alert
"Morning Love , how was your sleep" He asked and continued to kiss my back
"It was lovely, I haven't slept like a baby in such a long time " I said and quickly got out of bed and headed for the showers , glancing over the clock in the shower I remembered that today I have to be at the funeral ….
I took a shower suddenly I felt a pair of arms around me and it was Baji , geezus shit he scared the shit of me. He helped me wash my back and I helped him. We quickly showered and went out to change and into some comfy clothes headed down to the dining hall .
The rest of the men were already dressed up properly and I looked at them and totally forgot I had an emergency meeting later. Draken looked at me and opened his eyes wide.
"Boss , you do know you called for an emergency meeting at 10 right? " he said
"Ahhh! I totally forgot about that. I took the day off geezus! I'll eat first then change i'm starving"
Everyone quickly came down to have breakfast and as usual I saw the kids at the front gate letting my father and Xander walk them to school on their behalf. I quickly ran back up to change and back down in a flash told Pram not to cook dinner today as we won't be home and he can take the night off if he wants .
Everyone else packed the equipment and headed for the cars and drove to the office. In the car Draken was going through some things about the contacts and renewal for some companies and i clearly wasn't listening because i was busy putting on makeup.
When we got to the office it was 10 am. Every Head Department headed for the meeting room and took a seat and I came in just in time . Let's get this over and done with .
"Okay i just want to make things clear now, as of today why i gathered everyone here is because i realise i have been holding too much power and i have decided to lay low everything , from Business matters , Stock markets , everything related to our company i want it all to lay low understand? "
"Why so sudden? " Head of Law department
"Some personal things have came up and I decided to lay low for the moment, it isn't easy but I'm sure the public is also sick of us right haha. Well that's all for today , just let the company lay low until i feel ready to be back out in the public eye again , thats all thank you "
I stood up and walked out of the meeting room and told the boys to take some paperwork and pack it up then we went straight home after causing Pram to go in shock he didn't know we all were coming back for lunch . i told him it's fine we can order in anyways just order something for everyone to share, he acknowledged it and proceeded to call some eateries .
While the rest of us were laying on the couch in our home clothes , my head was on Baji's lap , Draken and Charlie looked like they were going to die of the heat and Matt and Xander looked like they were going to pass out .
"PRAM!!!"
'Yes Milady ? " Pram replied with a slight bow
"Where's the air conditioning? I'm dying out here!"
" It's undergoing servicing Milady, remember? " Pram replied.
I just nodded my head and let Baji continuing fan me , Draken , Charlie , Matt and Xander look like their about to die any moment and the rest are just grunting over the heat . . . when the air conditioning was back one everyone was relieved , the rest took the afternoon off while Shane, Rin and i headed to the home office to continue with our investigation .
With unlimited snacks and drinks we watched hours of moving around but it came to a part where he was making a phone call in public.
"Wait! , stop there zoom in on the cellphone "
Rin zoomed in to the image
"Can we get any intel on the number he called and who it is ?"
"Yes boss " Both replied and got to work immediately and got back to me very quickly
"He called Sebastian Qua Li Meng , apparently they have planned a meet up in Hong Kong no other conversation was on the line " Shane reported
"Who is this Sebastain? Sounds familiar"
"He worked in a cafe for 5 years after graduating from school , then proceeded to work in the tourism industry for more than 30 years currently his retired " Rin said and showed me the file
"OH! I worked with him before! When i was living in Hong Kong for internship! Sebastian dang its been such a long time. . ."
"Do you want us to contact him ? and call off the meeting?" Shane asked
"No , we need Sebastian. I will look for him after the meeting is done in the mean time get Parker to do the work for us in Hong Kong and report back to us ."
"Yes boss" both replied and did the work .
I dragged out the screen slightly bigger and brought out the files from the tour industry and scrolled through all the people i have worked with when i was there for 3 years . . . nothing seems suspicious at the moment seems alright i guess. . .
"Boss, Parker said okay . He will start when Damien and Ethan land in Hong Kong . " Rin replied. I nodded my head in response and sat back down on the chair playing with the table.
"Boss, are you going to fly to Hong Kong?" Shane asked
"Once Damien meets Sebastian, and Parker gives us the details, I will approach Sebastian myself . Now give me details on how and what a day in Sebastian's life looks like"
"Yes boss" both of them replied and got straight to work , a knock came through and it was Dad
I stepped outside for a little while and went to the patio and sat there with dad.
"Stella, you might wanna be careful when you go over later. You know my sisters and Brothers are going to be there as well . " Dad said with concern
"Im aware that they will come as well , since they are also part of the High chairs im expecting them to turn up of course. "
"Stella, Your 1st Aunt and I aren't on great terms and I hope you still can sustain that relationship with her. Despite my differences with my Eldest sister I still care for her deeply . " Dad lowered his head and shook it slowly.
"I understand. I don't understand what's wrong with her sometimes. She can be nice and all of a sudden she can be so mean , you saw how she reacted when Lumine didn't speak our Dialect properly and she said she's a disgrace and it really traumatized Lumine a lot . "
"I understand her well enough . therefore don't let the kids near her at all cost. " Dad replied and handed me an envelope.
"What's this?"
"Your Cousin Alan wanted me to hand this over to you for browning your car in return"
"WHAT?!"
"Relax he took the Jeep not one of your sports cars" Dad tried to make me calm down but I USED THAT DAMN JEEP !
"DAD!!!! , why didn't he call me and ask i would have lended it to him, not like I wasn't going to lend it to him . " I pouted and sunk into the chair . . .
"Would you have lended him the car if he came to you first? " Dad asked.
"I might consider it ! hmhp! But since he already handed me the money fine , I'll discuss it with him later . " i stood up and prepared to walk away
"Don't be too harsh on him! He still treats you like his little sister! " Dad said and I continued to walk away .
On the way back to the Home office i bumped in to Izzy and Xander
"Boss" Both said and Slight bow
"Hey hey , no need for the bow we are home afterall a simple greeting would be okay , how are things here? Are you adapting well? "
"Alright and yes we are adapting well. Sir Pram taught us so many things " Izzy replied
"Thats good, Do follow my dad later to pick up my kids alright . bring Matt along with you as well somehow Lumine prefers him majority of the time i feel. " i started walking away
"Yes boss"
I entered the room again and sat back down on the chair and continued to watch their movements in New york while Rin is watching Vegas and Shane is watching Florida . The hours tick by and so far we have seen them gambling , partying , fucking and all the rubbish their doing argh this is boring.
Soon it was time to wrap things up and set it aside. I told the boys to go and take a break and be ready soon since the kids are coming back in 15 mins OMG i totally forgot there was someone in the basement .
I ran over to Draken's room and dragged him out with Charlie following behind and into the basement to see him already dead . Argh more mess for us to clean. I hate doing this part. Draken went to gather the boys and help clean up the body and they quickly drove to somewhere far and dropped off the body . Once they came back and the kids are in the shower each and every one of them went to the shower .
I went to take a nice shower and went to chose a nice outfit, i decided to go for the female suit with thin long strips making me look tall everything in black and white of course, put on a tie and loosen it up put on some light make up and took my bag and headed down to the living room. The kids were already ready as well as the boys , Dad was way too casual for this occasion but it's fine . We took 3 cars in total , my dad took the Audi with Xander , Matt and Kyle . I took the Mercedes with Draken , Baji , Lumine and Chris and the last car belonged to Shane, Rin , Izzy, Hans and Charlie.
Dad gave us the location and drove right behind each other with Dad in the front , mine in the center and Charlie at the back , when we arrived on site dad got out of the car first followed by me and the kids and the rest of the boys while the drivers went to park the car . The funeral place was rather spacious and grand with loads of lights , Dad straight away went to Uncle Neo's table and started helping himself to the alcohol according the my watch it's only 7 pm and argh Funeral food won't be served until 8pm and the the remaining High chairs would not arrive until 7.45pm how dreadful.
"Stella! "
I heard someone call my name and looked around to see it was my Aunt Caroline. I obviously had to walk over and say hi and this is her mother's funeral after all . . . Draken carried Lumine , and Charlie carried Chris Baji walked behind me to Aunt Caroline
"Ah , Aunt Caroline , Kids you remember Aunt Caroline right?"
"Hi aunty Caroline" Both kids replied and bowed with their heads
"Good good , Stella have you eaten?" Aunt Caroline asked and dragged a chair over for me .
"Ah i have not , i was in a rush today so i didn't manage to have a bite , will the others coming during dinner service? "
"Yes of course, I see you brought so many boys, are they ? " she curiously asked
"Ah all of them are my bodyguards "
"Ahh i see . . ."
"My condolences Aunt Caroline , i know she hasn't had it easy for the past few years"
"Thank you my sweet Child. If you guys want to seat there should be an empty table with your name at least . I'll go grab you guys some drinks " She said and got up straight away
I got up and walked around the area and saw a table with my name on it so i sat down together with Draken , Charlie , Baji, Matt, Rin and Shane and the rest sat the table beside us , Aunt Caroline brought over some snacks as well and a lot of drinks thankful for that she left us to continue folding some papers .
"So that was Caroline your ?" Draken asked.
"Right . Aunt Caroline is the eldest daughter in their family. She's married to Uncle Sam, who is probably somewhere drinking at the back with dad , her 2 kids Juile and Sasha, with only Julie in the high chair ."
Darken nodded his head and took the packet drink and pushed the straw in for Lumine to drink, the rest felt a little tense but as time went on i stood up and went to greet the other high chair people that came in and let my kids greet them as well and tell Draken who belongs to who Baji doesn't really care at the moment since his dozing off again with Chris bullying him .
"Ah! Stella! " Ben yelled at the top of his lungs calling me out from the crowd
"Cousin Ben how lovely to see you again, still short as ever i see"
He smacked my arm and handed me a Cigarette which of course i have to take and we stood outside to smoke and chat.
"So cousin Stella, what is it you want to talk to me about?" Ben asked and inhaled his cigarette
"I mean this isn't much to ask I guess - "
I got cut off by my Dad's first sister Aunt Molly telling us to come in quick and pay our respects. We gave her our reply and threw our cigarette away and went back inside the hall. I'm ranked 3rd among everyone else so I had to stand in front of , My 2nd Aunt's Son , Kelvin , he is 2nd Rank and sadly for poor Ben he isn't ready to be in the high chair , His father Uncle David is still in position even tho Ben is like 35 his father still see no fit .
Well , the high chairs stood in rows of 3 and the family of the deceased stood by the portrait of their loved one and one of them would pass down the joss stick for us to pray to the deceased . The first 3 would step forward and pay respects first and go round the back to wait for everyone else to finish paying their respects .
Once everyone was done and I was back on the front row on the count of 3 everyone bowed together and said " Take your Time to Go , You will be missed " after that everyone went to have dinner at their respective tables .
I walked back to my table and Lumine was throwing a tantrum about wanting sweets so I carried her and grabbed some sweets but not to give it to her but shoved it in my pocket only giving it to her after dinner then I finally sat down to eat dinner with everyone else .
"Please Eat Boss!" My 10 bodyguards said at one go and it scared me and made me feel a little embarrassed but I just nodded my head and told them to eat as well.
