While I was unpacking my luggage, there was only one thought going on in my mind
'I will have to hide the sword from this girl'
If only the principal would have taken some responsibility and alloted me a room without a roommate then it would've been much easier, Now I wonder if I shouldn't have told him about my sword.
To get her attention away from me, I tried to engage her in a conversation while she was making space for my things
"Say Victoria, if there are only sixty three swords recorded in history, How do people without a divine weapon even fight the demons?"
"You don't know about it?" She looked surprised
"Soldiers who do not possess divine weapons fight with man-made weapons that academy allot them"
"But can man-made weapons be compared with divine weapons?" I was sneakily moving my hand towards my sword
"My grandfather told me that years ago, A broadsword was found in an excavation, it was no doubt a divine weapon, but it was so big that no human can even swing it as it can only be used by a guardian, later on that sword was taken to perform scientific research"
"Some years later, it was found that taking a piece of metal from that sword and forge welding it with a regular sword will result in a divine weapon as well"
"Ofcourse the new sword will only retain 5-10% power of the original sword but even that, is way better than a normal sword, plus they can be mass produced and as a result these man-made divine weapons are given to all students that don't possess their own sword by the academy" she continued
Till this point, I had already grasped my sword and sneakily hide it below futton of my bed, it was a double bunk bed so there was no chance of her finding it
"What are you hiding?" she suddenly asked
"huh"
"I am granddaughter of the person who used to fight hordes of Demons all alone, did you really thought I would not realise" She was looking towards my futton
"What is it?"
dammit I underestimated her, I wish I could kill that irresponsible principal bastard
"A.....Ah... Uhm...." I was trying my best to think of an excuse
"What?"
"it's an ero magazine"
Looking at her, I found she was already red from head to toe in embarrassment
"oh....um....I see.....anyways I am going to take a bath" She hastily took her towel and ran to the bathroom
"heh I have already found her weakness" I now had a cute roommate to tease, guess I will not be bored here

The following morning, I got to know that there were four different sections, three of which were focused on fighting demons that came out of portals and fourth one had the goal to minimise the casualties and save lives
While walking through the campus I found jason, who agreed to show me around the academy. He told me about the sections, that are classes A1, A2, A3 and B1 with each having around twenty students.
"Being in class B1" he told me, "is like trained to be a hero that saves people and makes sure to limit damage to private property" His eyes and expressions gave off an aura of positivity that is rare to find.
"To be honest, it surprises me" I said while we were walking through a hallway
"what does?" Jason seemed confused
"This academy, is a place where we are trained to fight and kill demons, you can be killed anytime while fighting them. Even if most of students here have some conditions because of which they are forced to choose this path, it surprises me that so many students have the courage and will to walk through it"
"But Evan aren't you a student here as well" he was looking straight into my eyes
"It's different for me" I replied indifferently
"How is it different?" he stopped walking a few steps behind me
"No one will care, even if I died" I replied without turning around, he stopped for sometime but soon, we started walking towards our classes again
Being alone most of my life, I actually consider myself pretty fortunate, because I have no family, I can do whatever I want and there will be no one constricting me, but I always wondered about how it feels to have a family and then soon I came to realise that most people just take it for granted, I don't like it for sure.
The section alloted to me was class A2, going inside I saw Victoria sitting at her desk and reading something, When I came back to the hostel room after jogging in the morning, she had already left for the classes.
The classes mostly consisted of stuff you would study at any normal school but following that came a professor in his middle age, who told us about the history of humanity's battles against the demons
After that all of us were given our combat suits and divine swords. The suits were made to maximize our fighting potential with help of extremely light and durable fabric. The divine swords also called 'The Z swords' by students were the same man-made divine weapons that Victoria told me about.
They had mostly the same design with the hilt having different colours that could be customised by user, gripping it in my hand felt like some ultra modern weapon that was light but sharp, It had a white polished blade just like everyone's but I get the feeling of a mysterious and strange force residing inside the sword that was different from my sword
But what happened next was even more strange, it was a ceremony to name your sword
"This sword that you have in your hand, will become your savior during times when you will see death standing infront of you in battlefield, that's why giving your sword a name is a ceremony conducted every year so that you can trust this blade with your life when you have to" is what the instructor said but I have another sword that I am most likely going to use, anyways I guess I will give it a name
Seeing it's design, let's call it "Trinity Blade" After I said that name outloud everyone looked at me and sighed, looks like I am not good at naming

The soil was dyed red in blood, with corpses lying all around the place, the sky was dark and sounds of thunder could be heard from the clouds that looked like they were ready to bring a storm
A person looking at this scenery that seemed like the aftermath of a war sighed, he turned around, only to see corpse of his comrade that he once had dinner with at his home.
"I thought you would've got used to this scenery untill now?" another person said while tapping on his shoulder
"No one can ever get used to it" he said while slowly closing the eyes of his dead comrade by his palm
"well that's true" Infront of them was a giant portal that seemed to have a destroyed city on its other side "we are ready to go" he said after a pause
After praying for his dead comrade's soul to rest in peace, that person slowly replied in a deep voice
"It's time for us to return"
