Lanie was mindless looking outside the window of the bus. The view was amazing and it should have enlightened her mood but she could not suddenly appreciate the view. She could not feel anything. She felt numb. Her body suddenly felt heavy and weak at the same time.
When she arrived at the station, that was the last stop. She saw Kevin and Jake walking towards her. Their faces say it all. They knew it. News is really spreading fast, huh.
"Hey-"
"I know. Don't say anything. I'm tired from the ride. Let's go." She tiredly said to them as she began to walk. Kevin and Jake looked at each other then, looked at Lanie who continued walking ahead of them. Kevin sighed.
"I should have waited for her to finish in the plantation if I only knew this would happen." He said. Jake tapped his shoulder.
"What the hell entered Tyler's mind?" Jake whispered as they followed Lanie.
