When Lanie came back to the funeral home, the staff already cleaned up their set up. She saw Penelope came out of the bathroom. Her eyes and nose were red from crying. She went to her and held her arms.
Penelope held the hand that that was on her arm then she smiled at her. "Do you want to go home so you can rest properly?" Lanie asked her. "I'll be going home, too. Then, I'll come back early tomorrow. My grandma needs to rest.
"Should I? Alright. I'll just get my bag." Penelope sighed weakly as she went to their seat earlier.
"Are you going home?" Mark asked her when he saw her get her bag beside him. Penelope nodded.
"I'll be back tomorrow." Mark nodded at her and smiled.
"Rest well." Penelope gave him a simple nod before she glanced at Kathy who was sitting beside Mark.
Mark watched Penelope as she went to the door. Lanie was also there. She signaled to Mark that she would be taking Penelope with her. Mark waved at them.
