"Who's Manuel?" Jake asked.
"A normal person whom I saved from the Wang couple. I meddled in his life that's why Patrick's destiny changed. 'Someone will die instead of the person whose time is near to end.' That's the consequences if we meddle in the death of the normals." Lanie explained.
"You mean…"
"Yep. Patrick was that someone." Lanie sighed.
"You saved him and he did that to Althea. Ungrateful jerk." Jake exclaimed.
Sometimes we were being kind to the people and helping them without realizing that the people we helped became bad people. Lanie thought that Manuel was a nice and innocent guy. She didn't expect that he would become like that. A murderer. He killed Althea, who was his co-worker and also, a friend. She couldn't think of any reason why Manuel did that. The dark spell that was on the chair is only penetrating into someone who is really having a thought of killing someone or has evil plans.
