When Tyler heard that they were back from the present, he stayed hugging Lanie while his face was in her neck. He was feeling her warmth. It was helping him to calm down and rest. He felt her tapping his back and caressing his hair.
"Thank you," he said sincerely before he withdrew the hug. Lanie only nodded at him and smiled. She understood what he was feeling.
They roamed around the mansion until it was already midnight. When they got tired, they sat at the stairs again without talking, just feeling the ambiance of the whole place.
Lanie couldn't stay calm and keep on moving. She was biting her lips and kept on looking at Tyler. She was battling hard with herself if she would tell him about it now or on some other day. He went through a lot today and maybe he still needed time to process it all.
"Just say it." Tyler suddenly said. He looked at her. His face was calm but she knew his mind and heart weren't.
