"What?" Tyler was quite taken aback at what she said. He looked at his watch. It's almost midnight. Lanie was staring at him, waiting for his answer.
"Where do you want to go?" he surrendered. He wished her to go home and rest but if that's what she wanted right now just to feel better then, he is willing to accompany her wherever and whenever.
A grateful smile appeared on her lips. Her eyes still didn't change. Her eyes were still sad and lost. How can she still give that smile when her eyes are screaming brokenness? Even though he wanted to kiss the pain that she was feeling, he will do it again and again but only Lanie can help herself up again. Until then, he will stay by her side and will be her support… because if she collapses, the case will collapse too.
