Lanie threw the card on the floor as well as her cellphone. She sighed before she laid down on the floor.
"I almost forgot that he is their alliance." she whispered while staring at the ceiling. She felt tired after a long day. Tomorrow, there's another battle for her. She will go to the underground and try to buy a gun. Also, she will find something there that can make Wang's illegal business destroy.
She got her phone when her phone rang. Penelope was calling. She answered and put it on loudspeaker. She was too tired to get up nor put the phone in her ear.
"Hey, are you there?" she heard Penelope speak.
"Yes. How's everything?"
"I already gave the files to Jeybi." Lanie laid sideways.
"Penelope," She said in a soft voice. "Are you sure about this? Because of those files, it will be your mother's downfall."
She heard Penelope's heavy breathing on the other line. She isn't crying, right?
