"Dark, this really isn't necessary.." You said, feeling uncomfortable as Dark shut the door to your bedroom, the both of you inside.
"Well, since you obviously can't keep your mouth shut, I have to take some drastic measures." He explained, pushing you onto your bed with rough force. You blushed out of embarrassment. Obviously, Dark didn't understand what was and wasn't sociably acceptable.
"You really can't do this-"
"And why not?" He asked, a smirk on his face as he crawled onto the bed and on top of you, straddling your hips. You tried to struggle out of this... uncomfortable position, but he wouldn't allow that. He knew exactly what he was doing.
He leaned down to you, his lips gently grazing your ear. You were agitated with him to say the least, but you couldn't speak. The embarrassment of the situation was too much for you to handle. You tensed up as he spoke softly and delicately in your ear.
"You want me to get off?" He asked, teasing you.
"Y-Yes." You responded, hoping that this wasn't an intricate game of his.
"And what if I don't want to?" He asked, lowering his head down to your neck. Your breath hitched in your throat as you felt the air thicken in the room.
"I..."
You were at a loss for words. What he was doing was completely outrageous and ridiculous. What was he doing this for? Was it complete jealousy, or was it something more? You refused to believe either, convincing yourself that he was the cold, heartless monster that Alvin had described.
Before you had a chance to desperately try to stop his approach, he abruptly go up off of the bed with a mischievous smile on his face.
"You wish." Dark teased, allowing your nerves to settle for a moment.
"Ha. Ha. Very funny." You said with sarcasm as you got up from off of your bed. You began walking towards the door before Dark interrupted your path.
"That part I'm not kidding about." He explained. You stood there in disbelief. Was he playing another trick on you?
"Dark, I'm not a huge fan of your games, so if this is one-"
"It's not." He assured, "This is me taking a precautionary measure."
You cocked your head to the side.
"For what?"
"You know too much now, and that could get me in trouble. So, I need to keep a close eye on you." He admitted, but you only shook your head in response.
"You can't just lock me in my own home!" You yelled.
"I can't believe that you're yelling at me. Truly, this is no way to treat your guest." He said mockingly.
"And this is no way to treat your host!" You countered, losing patience. Dark only chuckled in response.
"I love your wit, (Y/n). But I really have no choice in the matter. So, why don't you just get ready for bed. I'll only be here... Protecting you. If you like the way that I put it." He explained, a smirk on his face.
"But Dark-"
"I don't want to hear it." He said, his tone becoming more serious. You took the hint and huffed out in agitation before grabbing some of your night clothes from your drawers. You turned towards him, clothes in hand.
"And you're not going to let me out of this room?" You asked, hoping that he would make an exception. You horrifyingly realized that you had no connection to the bathroom from this room, which meant that you would have to change in front of Dark.
"No. You're staying this room until morning." He replied simply.
Heat quickly rising to your cheeks, you looked down towards the floor as you spoke.
"Well, umm. Could you, uh, turn around? I need to change.." You said softly, embarrassed.
Dark smirked a little before turning around, his face looking towards the door. You moved quickly in undressing and putting on new clothes, but to make it worse, Dark began to tease you as you changed.
"What if I want to look?~" He cooed. Your face became redder, but luckily he couldn't see it from where he was.
"If you do, I'll tear your head off of your body." You threatened as you quickly put on your pants. He chuckled deeply.
"You have such a way with words." He commented.
You soon had your favorite pair of pajamas on, and you announced to Dark that he could turn around. He did so, noticing the faint blush on your cheeks, but didn't say anything. You needed sleep, and being flustered wasn't going to help you.
"Time for bed." He snapped his fingers, making all of the lights in the apartment go out. You jumped, not expecting darkness to creep in so suddenly. Dark must have seen this, because he began to tease you once again.
"Is (Y/n) afraid of the dark?~" He mocked. You ignored him and hopped quickly into your bed, pulling the covers over your body.
"Could you, uh, turn on my fan?" You asked, feeling too uncomfortable to get up and find it yourself.
With another snap of his finger, the fan turned on. You were impressed by his abilities, but you told yourself to get used to it. It was normal for him.
"Thank you." You said through the darkness, causing a simple smile to rest on Dark's face. You yawned, snuggling into the covers more, but you still had a couple of questions to ask.
"Dark, what about you? When are you going to sleep?" You asked, feeling your eyelids droop a little.
"I don't need sleep. My body doesn't require it." He explained, setting on the edge of your bed. You continued questioning him, your eyes now closed.
"Why are you doing this? You could just stay outside of my room. Why you chose to stay in here is beyond me.." You commented, flipping you body on the other side.
"You need to stop asking questions." Dark suggested.
"But what if-"
"Sleep." He commented, turning towards you. You couldn't see him, but you felt his eyes on you. Now feeling uncomfortable again, you did as he suggested.
"Good night, Dark." You said, putting your hand underneath your pillow as you laid on it.
"Good night, (Y/n)." Dark replied, intertwining his hands together.
Truthfully, he could have just stayed outside of your room. You had no windows, so nothing could get in or out without going through him, but this was different.
He felt something uneasy in his stomach. His intuition told him that this was the right thing to do. After all, there were other parallel's out there. He didn't know what they would do if they found out that a human knew about him, yet cared for him all the same. It worried him. But he kept his opinion's to himself, as he was reminded that humans need rest.
'But it's a beautiful thing once you find those around you that truly understand you and care.'
Your words echoed in his head, causing a genuine smile to rest upon his lips.

***You ran around the dark room, not being able to find a door to get out. You could hear vibrations in your feet and the whispers travelling around you became more aggressive as you searched for an escape route. This situation started in the middle of chaos, but you were too busy trying to leave to focus on what had happened before you got here.
The whispers became louder as you moved around in a circle, trying to pinpoint where the sounds were coming from.
"Think outside of the box." You said to yourself. At this pace, you would never get out. You had to focus.
What parts of the room had you not investigated? A cube has six faces. Four of them are on the sides, there's one above you, and one below you.
Realizing the one place you didn't search, you looked up. Sure enough, a knob was screwed into the very middle of the ceiling. You reached up for it, ignoring the whispers that were getting louder. Now, as the door opened, you could hear what the voices were saying.
"Please, don't leave."
"You'll pay for this."
"Look what you've done to me."
Fear gave you enough adrenaline to pull your body up and into the door, but a hand wrapped around your ankle before you could escape.

You shot up out of bed, your breathing heavy and a sweat on your brow. It took you a moment to realize that what you had just experienced was a dream. Once it did hit you, you laughed quietly to yourself. Why was that so terrifying to you? It was just a stupid nightmare.
Quickly gathering yourself, you climbed out of bed, putting the covers back neatly after you exited. You went into your closet and grabbed a new set of clothes. Something lazy though. After all, it was Sunday.
You walked out of your room, wearing a comfy pair of black shorts and a T shirt, along with a pair of knee-high black socks. You always thought that they were adorable.
But upon entering the kitchen, you stopped. Not only was the smell delicious and tempting, but there was another sight that you had to enjoy.
Dark stood in front of the stove, cooking some scrambled eggs. Although this was a feat in itself, he was also wearing an apron.
A pink apron that said 'Kiss the Cook'.
You almost lost it then and there, but since he had turned around, you had to keep your thoughts to yourself for the moment. Dark walked over to the dining table and slid the eggs onto a plate. Along with the eggs, on the table were several waffles, biscuits, and add-on's such as whipped cream, strawberries, syrup, and butter. Dark then turned around towards you, a small smile on his face.
"Bon Appétit."
