Marlin had stayed in Henry and Brittany's apartment over night because the mess in her apartment hadn't been cleaned up. Henry insisted that Marlin stay until her apartment was clean because, "she still wasn't stable enough to see the aftermath of her breakdown."
Marlin was at her wits end; there was no way she could handle another hour of receiving Henry's pity looks, and the overall tension in the room.
It was obvious to Marlin that what she did had caused a disagreement between Henry and Brittany. After her talk with Brittany she had fallen back asleep and since then Brittany had hidden in the bedroom. She had only exited her isolation for food and if Henry even thought about talking to her, she ran back to her room like a scared doe.
Henry was afraid of hurting both of the women in his apartment more than what he already had. He knew the slightest wrong movement on his part could cause the destroyed relationships to crumble even more, possibly to the point of no fixing. He had heard Marlin and Brittany's conversation and when Marlin had gone back to sleep, he confronted Brittany about it. He was convinced they needed to let Marlin move on and forget about ever meaning more to her, and vice versa.
Brittany had been furious, and she had walked away from the discussion before even discussing it.
Henry knew it would hurt but he had to do what was best for Marlin. So, without his fiancé's permission he created a new start for Marlin; one where it wasn't their job to fix her.
"Henry?"
Henry popped up from where he was laying on the couch and his hair fell in his eyes. His thoughts had been interrupted and it had startled him.
Marlin couldn't help the small giggle that escaped her lips at the look on Henry's face.
Henry tried to blow the hair out of his face and his heart jumped at her giggle. He internally scolded his heart, "she's not yours to feel that way about now."
"Can I at least go grab my phone from next door?"
"Nope, I will go get it for you though," Henry stood up and brushed off his pants.
Marlin sighed and fell backwards against the furniture again, but she would take what she could get.
A minute later Henry returned with her purple and red dotted phone. He gently laid her phone on the table next to her afraid to make skin to skin contact with her.
If Marlin noticed she didn't comment as she opened her emails. She sat up and folded her legs one over the other, not noticing how Henry was watching her out of the corner of his eye.

You are to attend a meeting with John tonight at 8:00 o' clock. Meeting is mandatory. By the way great job on your new video today. ;)
Marlin groaned aloud, and Henry was at her side instantly.
"What!?"
Marlin frowned at the look in his eyes," nothing. I have a meeting tonight because of the stupid cam I did."
Henry frowned himself and looked down," Oh."
"What d.."
"Forget about it!" Marlin flinched at the harshness of his voice before looking back down at her phone.
She wasn't going to question it; afraid of the answer she'd get.

Meet me tomorrow at Quill's diner. I wish to speak to you.
Before Marlin could fully interpret the email, she had set a reminder on her phone. Her mind had become clouded. She should've been thinking of the consequences of going. Her email was on her Creamies' profile. Who knew what this person wanted? Still she found her heart was set on going. Call it curiosity or call it fate. She knew she had to go. Humming, she set her phone on the table before making her way to the bathroom. The now newfound fluttering wings in heart putting her in a absent minded state.
So, she walked away leaving the dead wings from before with Henry's shaking form on the couch.
