"At the point where ambition begins, pure feelings end."
*
When I woke up, Dylan was still sleeping. It was getting dark and the temperature had decreased a little. I got out of bed and opened the door. Gwen was sleeping on the long sofa in the corner. I went out without a sound and looked around. The stars in the sky seemed to wink at me. Suddenly I felt a hand on my shoulder, startled and turned away. Mr. Bullock was looking at me with a smile.
"Are you okay?"
"Yes, I am okay."
"You seem thoughtful, Elizabeth. What happened?"
"I just enjoy the tranquility. I watch the sky while two of my favorite people are sleeping peacefully inside. Maybe after that I will never see any of them again..."
"Are you talking about the sky? Or your favorites?"
"All of them, Mr. Bullock... All of them..."
"You don't have to worry. Everything will be all right, I'm sure!"
"Even if your mind says so, your heart cannot say so, don't try to deceive me. I can feel your emotions as I hear your thoughts."
"No matter how many thoughts you can hear, Elizabeth... It is useless to feel emotions! Because to understand what a person can feel, you must first embrace that feeling as your own."
I was listening to him with admiration as Mr. Bullock was telling me this. I still didn't understand why they called him Crazy Benjo.
"Mr. Bullock, why do they call you Crazy Benjo?"
"I told them what I told you. I told them to be careful and take care of the animals. They didn't believe me, but when their end comes, they'll remember me and have a guilty conscience!"
"You are right, Mr. Bullock."
We both sat on the ground and continued to watch the sky as we chatted. Mr. Bullock was a sociable man. I loved him. As the two of us chatted passionately, the sound of an engine pierced the night. A black engine stopped in front of the house. The driver who took off his helmet was a girl. Dylan's shouting burst into the membrane of my ear as the blonde-haired girl stared at us.
"Elizabeth!" Dylan yelled, smashing open the door of the house and looking around anxiously. He took a sigh of relief when he saw me on the ground and quickly came to me. He lifted me off the ground with no difficulty and hugged me tightly.
"Dylan... what happened?"
"I thought something happened to you! Damn! Don't do anything like that again."
Dylan glared at me, the blonde girl suddenly pulled apart us. Dylan was only shaking slightly as I fell to the ground. I extended my hand to my head hitting the huge rock on the ground. It was bleeding. When I pulled my hand, I groaned when my head hurt, as it touched the rock again.
Mr. Bullock leaned over and grabbed me by my neck. I looked at Dylan while my eyes were tearing. He was looking at that girl angrily. I wanted to cover my ears when the girl started talking. The girl's screeching voice sounded like the sound of a broken violin.
"Dylan! How disgusting you have become? How do you fall in love with our enemy? I love you too, Dylan! That's enough! I'm tired of this! Why don't you love me?"
The girl hugged Dylan. Hugged. She hugged him seriously. Wait a minute! She can't hug! My instincts of wanting to kill the girl were sitting pouting in their places because of my bleeding head.
Dylan pushed the girl and came over to me. He held me in his arms. Together, we quickly entered the house. Not needing to answer the girl, Dylan was making hearts pop out of my eyes right now. Gwen rubbed her eyes and looked at us. We entered the room where we slept without being able to account for her. Dylan put me on the bed and walked out. He came back with the first aid kit and the girl went in just as he was about to close the door. Dylan was looking impatiently while I glared at the girl.
"Natalie! Get out of this room!"
"If you expel me, I'll go and tell everyone that you helped Sky the stupid bird and fell in love with this stupid girl!"
Now, my body was on fire. I looked at the girl who insulted my phoenix who gave me more than this life. As Natalie gave me a sneaky glance, I suddenly stood up. No matter how much my headache was, my whole body was numb by now. With my hot body, I jumped on Natalie and fisted her. When I smelled blood, I ran out of the room and ran to the toilet. I was crying at the same time while vomiting. The damn day that came to my mind again was hurting me. While I was still vomiting, I calmed down with the scent of Dylan that suddenly filled my nose and looked at him. He flushed and put my face in his hands.
"Come on... Let's dress your head."
Just as I was about to stand up, Dylan stand up before me and took me in his arms. He kissed my forehead and walked towards the room. The girl named Natalie was sitting next to Gwen looking at us. Dylan walked into the room without looking at her and locked the door. He put me back in bed and started dressing. The man who gently touched my head despite his big hands made me forget my pain...
"It's over, big baby."
"Hmm... the girl you call big baby just hit someone with a fist. Do you want it too?" I shook my fist in the air, saying. He held my fist and kissed it.
"I want something else." He said and continued to kiss my hands. My mouth was slightly open that he covered my mouth with his hands.
"Close your beautiful mouth... it's best for you..."
While looking at him in a daze, he suddenly leaned over me and kissed my neck. Most of all, I liked the kisses of this man that were sealed on my neck... When he pulled back he looked at me and raised his eyebrows. My mouth, which could not take it any longer, was parted and I started talking.
"Who was that girl? Why does she love you? Why is she here? What if we get in trouble and they come here and do something to you?"
The questions I asked, with machine gun speed, made Dylan laugh. Dylan, who started playing with my fingers as he grabbed my hands, finally spoke.
"Natalie. She's a sorcerer too. I don't know why she loves me and I don't care. Here because she's not letting me go. We don't get in trouble or nobody comes and hurt me because Natalie is just bluffing... Okay, big baby?"
And then he added with a laugh.
"I'm so charming that everyone falls in love with me, right?"
Dylan, playing with my nerves, glared at me, and I hit his arm. Gwen's laughing sound came from the other room when a loud smack came from his muscular arms.
"Shh... Elizabeth, take it easy! Let them not hear!"
I turned around nervously and closed my eyes. Dylan jumped in front of me and gave me a seriously angry glance.
When he started tickling me, he stopped suddenly while I was laughing. He was looking directly into my eyes.
"Was that the reason for the vomiting that day came to mind?"
"Y-yes..."
"The smell of blood brings to your mind that day, I understand. I promise. From now on, nobody can hurt you. We will overcome this fear together. I apologize for your head. I can rub Natalie's head on the ground. What do you say?"
In fact, he presented an idea that was very attractive. But I chose not to answer. I closed my eyes and listened to Dylan's heart.
"I have to go tomorrow, Elizabeth. If Natalie comes back without me, they may suspect. I'll see you again soon."
Dylan was right to go, even though I was slightly angry after saying this. As we were about to sleep with our eyes closed, we both looked at each other in fear with the sound of the outer door breaking.
