Parker portrayed by Austin Butler. The twins are portrayed by the Martinez twins.
I didn't know why I was so curious about the new kid.
Parker James. The boy who was kicked out of his last school. I hated rebels. Why was I worried about him? I wasn't sure but when I arrived in my science class, the only not AP class I had he was there. He was also in workshop class which no one wanted to be my partner so lucky for me I got to be with him.
He did not really talk to me except to give me his name and as I told him I know who he which he must have found creepy because he stopped talking to me.
Our last class of the day was baseball. He followed me out to the field. I snapped on him asking why he was following me. Then the coach came up and welcomed him. As the coach started walking away Parker said "I got added to the team pretty boy. Thanks anyway." Then he walked into the locker room to change.
We practiced I pitched to him. He missed most of the time but I don't blame him most guys missed when i threw. He did better when one of the other pitchers threw to him. He told the coach he could be catcher, 1st base, or 3rd base.
The coach let him try first base today and he did pretty well.
After practice I apologized to him.
"It's whatever." He said "you're pretty and all but not enough for me to follow you pitcher."
"My name is Spencer and what do you mean I'm pretty?"
"Pretty" he grabbed my chin and looked into my eyes "your eyes are blue and they make your face very attractive." He had a smirk on his face as I pulled away.
"I don't want to be pretty. Girls are pretty I am not a girl." I told him glaring at him.
He laughed as he walked out of the locker room. "Bye pretty boy. See you later."
When I got home I was so confused by Parker. He said I was pretty because I had blue eyes but when he grabbed my chin his eyes were blue too. So how could he call me pretty? Ugh I was so annoyed with that.
I came to talk to my coach the next day. "Why is he allowed on the team? Every player on this team has worked so hard and we did so well in the fall games together why would you add someone else? He is a douche there is no reason to mess up are amazing team."
"Spencer he has to be on the team. He is on probation and his probation officer suggested an extra curricular to make him more of a team player and so he feels more confident and less lonely at school here." He told me.
I had to get used to him being on the team. I must get used to him being around.
The next week he practiced in all three positions and while he was pretty great at all three he definitely did best at first base. While he did well at first base he still wasn't able to hit most of my pitches.
He asked me after practice if I could help him. "Hey pretty boy. I need some help is there anyway you could help me out?"
I looked at him curious.
"I'm pretty good at everything except hitting your pitches. Can you help me out?"
I really wanted to tell him no. That I was too pretty but after a few minutes of thinking I agreed. It was alright because my brothers practice was longer then ours so I usually had to wait on him because our mom came and picked us up at the same time.
I decided I would throw to him for about an hour then my brothers practice would be over and we could go home.
We went back out to the field and I started pitching to him. He missed the first two then fouled the next four. "So tell me about you pretty boy." He said after fouling for the fifth time in a row.
"Like what? And don't call me that."
He smirked when I said that and he said " whatever you want to tell me. Are you good in school? What do you want to do when you grow up? Do you have siblings? Or a girlfriend?"
I pitched again he missed this one completely. "I do pretty well in school. I'm in AP classes. I want to play pro baseball when I grow up." I threw again he hit it directly to first base as he said damn. "I have a twin brother. Identical twin. His name is Sam he plays football. And no." He hit this ball to the wall as he smiled as I told him no about the girlfriend.
"So twins? That's cool. And why no girlfriend? I see the way girls hang all over you. Everyone likes you and your brother. You two sit at the cool table with all the other sporty popular people."
"I didn't know you were stalking me James." I called him by his last name which made his face screw up.
"I am not stalking you and I really hate my last name. My father left my mom and I when I was young. So i really prefer Parker or even douche or asshole would be better than my last name."
I stopped throwing and looked at him. "I'm sorry Parker."
He laughed. "It's not your fault pretty boy."
My brother yelled at me telling me we needed to go. Then Parker said "I can drive you home if you need." He told me.
"Parker will drive me!" I yelled at my brother. He came over to me and said no. "Why?" I asked him.
"Do you know who he is? I don't know how you trust him within fifty feet of you honestly. As far as I'm concerned he is dangerous and you will not be alone in a car with him." Sam told me. I rolled my eyes and kept pitching.
"Fine if you get hurt it's your own fault!" He yelled as he left.
After he left the field I went over to Parker and apologized. "He is a douche he doesn't know anything about you."
"And you think you do?" He asked looking me up and down.
"Not yet but I want to. I want to be friends with you Parker. I'm sorry for what my brother said. "
"Maybe he's right maybe I am dangerous. Did you ever think about that?" He asks me.
I laugh and shake my head. "You and I have been alone for over an hour if you wanted to hurt me you could have."
He smiled. "Thanks for being so confident pretty boy."
We played for about twenty more minutes then we had to go find all the balls and put them back in the locker room. We changed and started walking to the parking lot.
He beeped his car keys at, what looked like, an almost new grey Toyota Tacoma. "Whoa." I said "this Is an amazing truck." He smiled.
"Yeah I mean my mom Is a doctor and even though i have been in trouble a lot recently she bought it just recently for my 16th birthday."
"So tell me about you." I asked him.
"I have no siblings. I already failed this year because of how many days I missed at my last school. I have no friends no girlfriend nothing."
"No no no. You and I are friends Parker."
He smiled and nodded as he dropped me off at home. When I walked inside I was yelled at by my parents and brother. I ignored them and went to bed.
That night I really realized how much was still unknown about Parker and how much I wanted to find out about him.
