Chereads / The Disastrous Life of a Gamer / Chapter 56 - Chapter 56

Chapter 56 - Chapter 56

When I asked the [Game] about my enemy, I found out that he wasn't just a normal Orc boss, no he was The Legendary Black Orc.

[Grimgor Ironhide, renowned by his kind as the Green Slaughterer, Gork's Fist, Da Alpha Orc, the Once and Future Git, and the Boss of the East, is considered by many to be one of the greatest Black Orc Warboss to have ever lived.

This monstrous warrior has culled a great swath of destruction throughout the lands of the Old World and beyond, claiming ownership of many Orc and Goblin tribes and making Red Eye Mountain the heart of his small empire.

It was quickly understood by many of Grimgor's enemies that the Warlord was no ordinary Greenskin. His lust for battle is tremendous; always he looks for the heaviest fighting and the strongest opponent to test his skills upon.

Such is the savagery he instills upon the battlefield that he has gained a massive following of Greenskin warriors, and with this army, he was able to ravage the lands of the Empire, the Kingdom of Kislev, and the fortress holds of the Dwarfs for many long years.

Never has Grimgor ever lost a fight, and he longs for the day that he may match his amazing skills with one of such equal measure as his own. Grimgor will never stop until this day comes, and he will continue on his bloody conquest until he rules the entire world]

{So that's his backstory, quite the Black Orc he is and most likely a fearsome enemy to have. Does he have any strange magic or anything like that?}

[Negative, Grimgor is a warrior, the chosen Orc, a champion of Gork or maybe Mork as their shamans call him, and the toughest enemy you faced until now. He's as strong as you, a Low Ultimate-Class being, but while you are more versatile than him he can take more damage than you]

{Because dealing with politics, factions trying to pouch me to their side and my own revenge against that devil wasn't enough now I have to fight a monster with an army that could raze to the ground a kingdom}

[One by one host, one by one then you can finally rest]

{Why are you saying that as if I would die in the end?}

[Every single living being will die at some point in time, even I would be forgotten]

After I was done asserting my enemy, I decided to look around the fort and see what we can use against the Greenskins. The snow and the cold would surely weaken the Greenskins, but not enough for them to retreat after all what Orc boss or Goblin Big boss would run from what they see a weak fing.

The forest goblins will die surely when the fire will start and will eat everything in its path thus making Grimgor's army the only threat and at the same time my final challenge in this dungeon.

Trenches could be dug and used as traps and with the help of the tomb scorpions, it won't take too much time for those traps to be dug up and ready for the upcoming battle.

The fortress armory had some cannons that we could use, but why should I put them on the walls, where they could shot only for a short time when I could add them on and into the Necrosphinx, making the already best unit I could build that could decimate hundreds of thousands of enemies even deadlier. Maybe adding some platforms on it so that some archers could shot on the enemies if they are sited on the platforms.

Thankfully for me, the fortress seemed to be used by the empire or at least replicated by the [Game] to resemble one, because besides the cannons we found tens of guns and quite a lot of good armor and weapons, not to mention the two holy war hammers in the chapel. While I could use those two war hammers, I think I'll let Sepas use them and bring destruction upon our enemies.

Meanwhile the Greenskins Waaagh! was getting closer to our position. I could see the wolf riders observing us from up on the hill. Most likely they were the scouts of the horde and while I could some of them now, I decided to wait for a bigger target to appear. After all, it won't matter if I kill ten enemies now or in an hour or two.

By the time the main force of the Waaagh! Have arrived on top of the hill, I could a huge black Orc cladded in armor looking towards us, but what I didn't know was that this black Orc was looking at me and not at my army.

"Undead-fings, Human-fing! I'm gonna stomp 'em to dust. I'm gonna grind their bones. I'm gonna burn down dere fortress. I'm gonna pile 'em up inna big fire and roast 'em. I'm gonna bash 'eads, break faces and jump up and down on da bits dat are left. An' den I'm gonna get really mean..."

I grabbed my naginata and walked towards the edge of the wall.

"Big words for the so-called biggest and meanest Orc! All I can see is a scared green –fing hiding behind his slaves! Come and attack me, if you have the guts!"

"Da Undead-fings come to stop us?! Aha... Ahahahahahahaha! Time for a ruck, I say! I'm gonna enjoy pulling dese bonez from dere budis. First, though, we need to break dem big gunz - dat's just cheatin'! I want some boyz on dat straight away. Stop their artillery from shootin'. and we get more time scrappin', just as Mork like's it! Watch it though, just cos dere bonez don't mean one or two of 'em aint 'handy with their own choppas. Dey like fighting dirty... but so do we! Ask any rat-man under Mount Red Eye! Right, Boyz, dat's da plan. Immortulz, get yer choppaz out, dis one's gonna be fun! Waaagh!"

With his shout, thousands of goblins and orcs descended upon us from all around the hills. The people that build this fortress in the middle of a valley didn't think how hard it will be to defend this place or maybe that's the point, making the enemy think this will an easy target, and when they will attack they will get their armies massacred.

At the same time, I didn't stand still and waited for the enemy to attack us, while the orcs were rushing to attack us, my tomb scorpions and their tiny versions were scattered all around the ground surrounding the fortress and when the Greenskins will hit the walls, they will be stuck with a bunch of angry constructs between their ranks.

The Necrosphinx was ready to engage and the only thing that continues to keep the Low-Ultimate –class construct from running havoc into the enemy army was my presence alone. I couldn't let one of my trump cards being revealed so easily, can I?

Looking behind me, I could see the thousands of tomb guards awaiting their orders while the archers and the undead gunners were already firing their arrows and bullets into the green tide killing dozens of them with every single volley.

On my right side, Orochimaru was trembling with excitement while on my left side Athar and Sepas were calmer, but I could see their desire to fight for me, their king.

"My king, you should inspire the troops even if we won't suffer any moral damage it won't hurt the troops to hear your speech."

Athar wasn't wrong, while the undead won't care about the moral, they could still be "buffed" by the speech of their master.

Looking at them, I decided to do my edge lord speech and maybe, just maybe not sound so cringe as it sounds in my head.

"Now is the time, Men of the Nehekhara, to unite - for the Orcs gathered. Beyond the safe walls of our fortress, the self-claimed biggest and meanest Warboss draws to him all that is foul - an Orc horde beyond imagining! As your fathers and their fathers fought, so shall we; we will become part of the legend; we will wipe the Orcs from our door; and only when this is done - when our nation has healed – when our strength will shake the world and when our foes will fear us just by seeing our armies, shall I take up throne in your homeworld! For Nehekhara! Charge!"

Thousands upon thousands of undead were cheering in their unique way and without waiting for anyone to say anything I jumped right into the Greenskin ranks.

Every swing of mine killed at least ten orcs or twenty goblins. A few seconds after I jumped into the fight, my generals and my mummies also jumped to help me, one general on every side of the fortress followed by thousands of tomb guards and tens of mummies, the most elite infantry I could summon. While our ranged units were supporting us from the walls.

At the same time, I told the Necrosphinx to wait for my signal, so that he could do maximum damage when he will charge into the enemy.

Orochimaru really made the Necrosphinx into the perfect anti-infantry monster. Cannons son every side and a platform on top of it where gunners were sitting, not to mention the sharp sword-like hands that could cut through steel as if it was butter.

I don't know how much time has passed or how many have died, but the moment, my Necrosphinx heard my call, he burst through the opened gate right into a few thousand orcs and goblins exploding them into minced Greenskins meat. With his addition, we slowly but surely pushed the Greenskins back on top of the hills.

Meanwhile, Grimgor was bashing and killing my tomb guard as if they were goblins while searching for me.

When he found me surrounded by at least twenty of his best men, the Immortulz, he went berserk and charge right into me.

Thankfully I was prepared for something like this after all if you can kill their leader the Greenskins will rout. Parrying his blow, I punched him in the face sending the Warboss two or three meters away from me.

I could see the anger and joy on his face when he charges at me, such a beast wasn't meant to be left alive or the world could end, at least that's what I believe will happen.

We continue to exchange blows and slowly but surely our wounds keep amassing on our bodies. His armor wasn't looking like armor any longer, instead, there were pieces of metal hanging from his battered body while I wasn't in any case in a better condition than him, I could still attack him while defending myself from his deadly blows.

The fucker was so resistant to the magic that any spell I used on him bounce when it hit his body which leads me to fight the monster in close combat.

As we kept fighting and injuring each other, the fatigue starts appearing and every blow become slower and slower for both sides, seeing I knew that I need to end this soon or I will be the one that will die. With all of the strength that I could muster, I swing my naginata to take his head, but the Orc managed to parry my blow with his Choppa.

Unfortunately for him, my goal wasn't to kill him with my weapon, my goal was to distract him enough for my fist to pierce his heart and kill him, but who would have thought that the Orc had the same idea as me?

Both of us slowly felled to the ground with a hole in our bodies. While I managed to take his hearth, killing him, Grimgor also managed to make a hole in my chest.

The last thing that I saw before I lost my consciousness was Athar running towards me while my Anubis bodyguards were keeping any Greenskins away from me.
