Chapter 140 - Humiliated Horribly

'002, what are the ranks in this military?'

{The rankings are here.}

[General (highest)]

[Lieutenant General]

[Major General]

[Colonel]

[Lieutenant Colonel]

[Major Colonel]

[Captain]

[First Lieutenant]

[Second Lieutenant]

[Knight]

[Soldier (lowest)]

(A/N: Forgive me... I'm not experienced with military stuff, so I had to search up the rankings. Just so you know, I made a few of these up and I don't even know whether or not they're real, but this is what I came up with!)

'Hm... Is there a way to distinguish between those in the military? I noticed that General Ross wore different clothes than everyone else and she wore a golden badge with a lion and three stars on it.'

{Why are you asking me if you just said them? Anyways, the main symbol in Leroy Kingdom is a lion. Their main colors are red and yellow. By the way, all the armor here is the same except for the age of the armor. Obviously, the higher ranks would wear newer armor. The armor is just silver ones, so yeah. I'll show you how the clothes and badges look since it's simpler that way.}

Multiple blue screens popped up in front of Rem. Rem looked at the description of each picture shown on the blue screens.

[General: Wears red/yellow/white clothes with 11 gold stripes on each sleeve. Wears a fancy, bright red/gold colored cape that has Leroy City's golden lion symbol on it. Wears a golden badge that has three stars and a lion's head on it.]

[Lieutenant General: Wears red/yellow/white clothes with 10 gold stripes on each sleeve. Wears a kinda fancy, kinda bright, red/gold colored cape that has Leroy City's golden lion symbol on it. Wears a golden badge that has two stars and a lion's head on it.]

[Major General: Wears red/yellow/white clothes with 9 gold stripes on each sleeve. Wears a little fancy, a little bright, red/gold colored cape that has Leroy City's golden lion symbol on it. Wears a golden badge that has one star and a lion's head on it.]

[Second Lieutenant: Wears red/yellow/white clothes with 3 gold stripes on each sleeve. Wears a plain, red/a little gold-colored cape that has Leroy City's golden lion symbol on it. Wears a copper badge that has one star and a lion's head on it.]

[Soldier: Wears red/yellow/white clothes with a gold stripe on each sleeve.]

'I see... How many people are in this military base? Tell me their ranks as well.'

{Calculating... Calculating... Calculating completed! There are approximately 319 soldiers, 124 knights, 5 first lieutenants, 5 second lieutenants, 3 captains, a major colonel, a lieutenant colonel, a colonel, a major general, a lieutenant general, and a general.}

'How many horses are there?'

{86 horses.}

"Rem, we're here," Samael announced.

Rem and Samael stopped in front of a tent. Rem looked at the sign that was located in front of the tent's entrance.

[8]

That was what was on the sign.

"We've arrived," Rem responded.

She and Samael were about to enter tent number 8 until one of the knights that were following them tried to pull Rem and Samael's collars by using both of his hands. However, the knight failed to do so because both Rem and Samael dodged the knight's hands quickly.

'Urgh, they're annoying...!'

Rem and Samael turned to face the five knights. The two sensed them following them ever since they left for tent number 8. They ignored them before, hoping that they wouldn't cause any trouble, but they decided to mess with the two anyway.

"How dare you newbies dodge me??!" The same knight who strongly opposed Samael from joining the military and even made a whole speech in front of General Ross yelled, spitting everywhere every time he opened his mouth.

The other four knights just stood there, watching their boss take care of the two newbies.

"Are you listening to me??!" The knight asked loudly, clearly furious.

His veins could be seen.

'Why is his temper so bad?' Rem wondered.

She understood that everyone here wouldn't accept them easily. She knew that she wouldn't be treated well either.

'Can't they at least leave us alone on the first day? Geez...' Rem sighed in disbelief.

"Did you just sigh before me??!" The knight glared at Rem.

"Be quiet and have some conscience, will you, sir?" Rem emphasized the word, sir.

Before the knight could say anything else, Samael chimed in the conversation.

"Do you ever brush your teeth? Cause it really stinks." Samael covered his mouth as he said this.

'That's true. Not only is his temper horrible, but his breath also stinks and he spits everywhere every time he speaks. I had to create an invisible barrier around me and Samael for us to not get spotted on...' Rem tried her best to not make a disgusted face.

"You...!" The knight tried to punch Samael in the face, but Samael easily dodged him.

This caused the knight to fall flat on his face, embarrassing him greatly.

'What a dumb*ss. How is he even a knight?' Rem questioned herself.

"Hahaha...!" The four other knights laughed.

"We'll be leaving now, ground kisser."

Samael entered the tent first.

'Ground kisser, huh...? What a suitable name for him.' Rem smirked.

Right when the knight who was face flat on the ground was about to get up, Rem made sure to step on his head, which made him kiss the ground again.

"Oops... I'm so sorry...! I didn't see you there, ground kisser. Have a nice time kissing the ground." Rem said mockingly.

It was clear that her apology wasn't sincere.

She too entered the tent while hearing the four knights outside laugh like maniacs.

The ground kisser couldn't say anything because he was too embarrassed and angry. He has never been this humiliated in his life.

'He deserves it. If any of them bothers us again in the future, I'll make them all pay!'

"Good one, Samael." Rem smiled slightly after entering the crowded tent.

There were currently 5 people in the tent, excluding Rem and Samael.

"It was nothing. They shouldn't have messed with us." Samael replied, claiming the space that was at the corner of the tent.

The 5 other people who lived in this tent stared at Rem and Samael curiously. They heard everything that had happened because the fight was literally outside their tent.

"Wow, you two are incredible!" One of the people in this tent spoke.

"They're knights and you completely wrecked them!!!" Another one f the people in this tent said aloud.

'Why are they acting like little kids???'

"May we know both of your names?" A short boy who looked like he was around 4,9 asked politely.

'We're going to work together from now on. It's only natural for them to know my name.'

"Rem." Rem answered first.

There was a long pause before Samael decided to say his name.

"Samael." He finally answered.

The five seemed like they had many questions for Rem and Samael. However, someone interrupted them before they could do so.

"Miss Rem, General Ross has called for your audience." A voice from outside said in a serious tone.

'What does General Ross has to discuss with me...?'

"I'll be back." Rem told Samael.

Samael nodded as Rem exited the tent.

"Please follow me." The knight stated.

He walked towards the largest tent. Rem followed the knight from behind obediently without questioning him.
