"Did you seriously try to fend off the demons for five days straight, without any rest at all??!" Karina's mouth was wide open and in shock, after hearing what Rem did.
"Yes, I did. At least I tried to... At first, there were around a hundred demons. Later on, more demons appeared. You may already know this, but only a few hundred people escaped from this city, including us. The others had no choice but to stay. Everyone who could fight did everything they could to protect the city. After fighting restlessly, the demons still didn't back off. In the end, I was forced to leave..." Rem explained.
'I can't believe there're people who are working with the demons. Arka City has probably been taken over by the demons already. How did all this happen? Plus, that green lizard creature...' Rem was deep in thought until Kaito interrupted her thinking.
"Did you see my mother...?" Kaito asked in a worried tone.
"No, I didn't. I didn't fight inside the city. I fought the demons outside the city. Just when I was about to leave, I went back to the city. Unfortunately, the barrier broke. I'm not sure when it broke through. Don't worry, Kaito. Your mother is safe." Rem consoled Kaito, patting his back.
"How do you know that?" Kaito questioned.
'Uhhh... I have 003 and the system's map. Of course, I can't say that...'
"I put a spell on her. This way, I would know whether or not she's alive." Rem lied.
"I see... Thanks for telling me this. I just hope she's safe..." Kaito looked down on the floor, putting both of his elbows on his lap.
"I didn't see any demons since we escaped early... Rem said there were how many demons? I don't think she said exactly how many because there were too many to be counted. By now, Arka City is doomed, being taken by the demons." Oliver said casually with both of his hands behind his head.
Roy glared at Oliver.
'The last time I check, there were over five thousand demons. All the demons were above level 50 too.' Rem thought.
"Yeah, you're right..." Karina was worried, frightened, and sad at the same time.
"I want to have a talk with Oliver privately. Please excuse us." Rem stood up from her seat, dragging Oliver with her to the back of the ship.
Roy stood there, staring at the two as they walk away. After getting to a place on the ship where there wasn't anyone near them, Rem began the conversation.
"Xavier, your father is the leader of an organization, correct?" Rem asked in a serious tone.
"Hey, hey, hey... Don't call me by that name yet. Call me Oliver! I don't want people to get suspicious of me. I also have to hide from my father and everyone that's working in the organization. Every person working with my father knows my face." Oliver stated.
"Okay, Oliver. Answer my question." Rem said impatiently.
"He's not my biological father. Anyways, yes. He's the leader of an organization." Oliver answered.
"Do you know what the organization is called?"
"Well... No, I don't. I told you before, but after waking up, I couldn't remember anything. The only time I spoke with my father was when he gave me missions to do. Other than that, he never really spoke or interacted with me. Nobody in the organization told me about anything either." Oliver exclaimed.
"Were the people in the organization, perhaps people who wore black and red robes?" Rem questioned.
"I mean, some of them wore black and red clothes while some wore their own clothes. I almost never bump into anyone that works in the organization though." Oliver stated.
"Then do you know what the organization's purpose is?" Rem asked, tapping her right foot.
"Um... The organization has been there for as long as I could remember. They've been working on an enormous project for years. Sorry, but I don't know about anything else." Oliver apologized.
'Project...? Does this have to do with the green lizard creatures?' Rem wondered.
"What about your father? What does he do?" Rem continued to ask Oliver.
"I'm sure he just does paperwork and in his office all day. He usually never goes outside. At least I've only seen him go outside like... Two times? Maybe three. Oh! He's also extremely strong. Way stronger than you." Oliver said proudly with a smug face.
'It seems that he doesn't have a horrible relationship with his father, even though he's not even his biological father. He even looks up to him...' Rem was skeptical about Oliver's royalty.
"Hm... Alright then, thanks. You can go back now. Remember, don't do anything rash or even think of betraying me." Rem warned, walking back to the others.
