"We're here! Welcome!!!" Alizeh brought Rem to a safe place.
There were trees, vines, flowers, and the scent of nature everywhere.
"This is where I'm living currently. Follow me please." Alizeh guided Rem.
Rem followed Alizeh while Roy followed behind Rem. After a minute of walking, Alizeh stopped in front of a humongous tree.
'This tree... It has so much magic power and life in it..!' Rem was was slightly surprised but she was more amazed.
"This is where I'll be healing you," Alizeh stated.
"If you don't mind, lay in front of this tree." Alizeh pointed to a grassy area in front of the tree.
Rem nodded and laid down.
"Just to let you know, when I heal you, you'll lose consciousness. Your loss of memories is very unusual... I'll try my best to help." Alizeh's hands glowed in a bright green color with a hint of white.
She raised both of her hands and put them above Rem's forehead. In a few seconds, Rem lost consciousness and went into a deep sleep. Roy stood next to a smaller tree, laying his back on it. His gaze was at Rem and Alizeh the whole time since he didn't want Rem to get harmed.
...
'Where am I..?' Rem wondered.
All Rem could see was black surrounding her except for a tiny white light in the front. Rem walked towards the white light, unsure of what was going on.
'Alizeh said I would lose consciousness. Was this supposed to happen?'
After walking for a while, Rem reached the white light. Being on guard, she walked in. Bright, white light covered Rem. In response, Rem couldn't help but close her eyes due to the brightness. When she opened her eyes, she saw a little girl, a man, and a woman standing near the door in someone's home.
'Is that... Me..? From my past life? How? What's going on???' Confused, Rem stood where she was and watched them.
"Mom, dad..! Can you celebrate my birthday this year with me..? Please..." The little girl implored.
"Sweetie, I'm sorry but we have to go. You know we have an important business trip today." The woman hugged the little girl.
"Honey! Let's get going. We can't miss the flight now, can we? Little Pumpkin, after we get back from our business trip, papa will give you a present, okay?" The man rubbed the little girl's head.
'They're my... Parents?' Unsure and confused, Rem kept watching from a distance.
"I refuse to call you papa..! Anyways... Dad, you're making my head messy! I also told you to stop calling me that!!!" The little girl pouted.
"No can do. You will forever be my Little Pumpkin!" The man laughed.
"Honey, we have to get going. Look at the time. We don't want to miss the flight now, do we..? Mama and Papa will be back soon. Take care of yourself while we are gone, okay? Remember, we'll always be there for you, Rem. Happy birthday." The woman kissed the little girl's forehead.
"Mhm..." The little girl nodded.
"Tell us if you want anything, okay?" The woman said.
"Okay, mom." The little girl replied.
"We'll try to come back as soon as possible! Happy birthday Little Pumpkin!" The man smiled, showing his straight, white teeth.
"Haha, dad! You're smiling like an idiot again!!!" The little girl laughed.
"Haha..." The man put his right hand on his neck and rubbed it in embarrassment.
"Bye, sweetie." The woman waved at the little girl and walked to the car.
"Bye!" The man waved at the little girl soon after, looking at her in a sad expression.
The little girl waved back and smiled as her dad closed the door and walked towards the car. She looked out the window, seeing her parents getting in the car. Her smile disappeared as she looked at the car going towards the airport slowly. The little girl watched till she couldn't see the car anymore.
'I'm all alone again...' The little girl thought, feeling lonely.
'I can hear this girl's thoughts... Hm... I'm not sure about what's going on. Maybe these were the memories of my past life..? I look around six years old... If I remember correctly, didn't I lose my memories from my past life when I was 7? I have no memories of when I was 6 or any age below that.' Rem watched the little girl carefully.
'Now that they're going on a business trip, I can finally go to the company and sneak in!' Rem was prepared for this moment.
'This is probably the only chance I can see what my parents were doing.' Rem ran towards the door, putting on her shoes.
'What is my past self-planning?' Rem wondered, following the girl.
A few people who worked at the mansion saw Rem leaving but they didn't stop her. They didn't care. They never did.
'It seems nobody can see or hear me. It's almost as if I'm invisible to them. I guess that makes sense since I'm probably just watching the memories of when I was little.' Rem thought, still following the girl.
A few minutes of walking at a very slow pace passed. Then suddenly, the little girl jumped over a wall and broke out, running, using her full speed. Rem jumped over the wall and ran after the girl. She had no problems catching up to her.
'Where is she going? Was I really like this back then..?'
For as long as Rem could remember, she was an obedient daughter.
'Why am I so jumpy??? This is dangerous..!' Rem watched the little girl, getting ready to catch her if she falls.
The little girl was jumping from one building to another while Rem was following her from behind.
