'There really is a crafting section...' Rem checked out the crafting area.
'There's so much stuff to craft... I can craft weapons, armor, clothes, magic items, and other materials. At the top was a search bar. If I tap on something I want to craft, it's going to show me what materials I need to craft one. I don't have any of these materials yet so I can't craft anything! There's even an enhanced section at the bottom right. How convenient. I'll browse what I want to craft for now. I'll get these materials later.' Rem began browsing the crafting section.
...
After a few hours of browsing, Rem was able to find a few things she wanted to craft.
'These are some things I want to craft but I can't craft anything good! I doubt I'll even use the crafting function much. Getting materials are annoying...' Rem thought.
{You are just lazy. Admit it.}
'Fine... I am lazy, okay? It's normal.'
{It's not normal to be this lazy.}
'It is! Anyway, I'm sure the butcher finished cutting all the monsters and calculating how much the monster bodies were worth. I'm not going to argue with you..! I'm leaving.' Rem left and walked towards the butcher's shop with her disguises on.
Rem arrived at the butcher's shop in a few minutes. Since Rem has a very good memory, she can remember certain things easily.
Without knocking on the door, Rem entered the shop.
"Is anyone here??!" Rem shouted.
"Wait a moment..! I'll be right there!!!" Someone said in a hurried voice.
Harris, the head butcher, and owner of this shop rushed to Rem.
"You came here to find out how much you got from the monster bodies, right?" Harris asked.
"Yes. Have you finished cutting the monster bodies..?"
"Of course! With everyone's help, we finished quite early. I only know the number of monster bodies there were but I don't know how much they are all worth. I need to go to the Adventurer's Guild to find out. Do you want to come with me?" Harris offered.
"Sure, why not." Rem and Harris began walking towards the Adventurer's Guild.
Since the butcher's shop and Adventurer's Guild was not that far from each other, both Rem and Harris managed to arrive in just about 5 minutes. Harris and Rem walked inside the Adventurer's Guild and went to the receptionist.
"Hello. How many I help you?" The receptionist asked, already knowing what they came here for.
"We came here to calculate how much these monster bodies are worth. Here is the list." Harris said as he handed the list to the receptionist.
"I see. I'll check how much these are worth. Please wait over there. This might take a while..." The receptionist said.
"Alright. We'll wait over there." Harris pointed.
"I'll call you after I finish calculating how much the monster bodies are worth." The receptionist opened a large book.
"Okay. Let's go sit over there and chat a little, shall we?" Harris turned to face Rem.
"Sure." Rem and Harris walked to an empty table and sat down.
Harris began a conversation first with Rem.
"So... I've heard you finished killing all these monsters in just a few hours. If it's alright with you, may I ask just how strong are you? I'm curious." Harris stared at Rem.
Rem came up with a fake story on the spot.
"It's fine. When I was little, both my parents died from these monsters. I ended up living in the forest and somehow, I managed to survive. Ever since that day, I wanted to get stronger and I finally decided to come to the city to experience something new." Rem lied.
"Oh... I'm sorry to hear that. It must have been hard for you. Tell me if you need help, okay? I'll always be there!" Harris believed Rem and smacked Rem's back, hard.
"Thanks." Rem said uncomfortably.
"I have finished calculating these monster's worth." The receptionist said.
Harris and Rem went to the receptionist to hear the details.
"All these are worth 5 platinum coins. I've talked to the Guild Master about this. Here is your payment. Rem, please give me your Adventurer's Card." The receptionist handed Rem 5 platinum coins while Rem handed the receptionist her Adventurer's Card.
"Thank you." Rem said.
"Your welcome. Please wait for a minute. You will get your Adventurer's Card back shortly." The receptionist took Rem's Adventurer's Card and began making a few changes on her card.
Rem and Harris waited for the receptionist for a few more minutes without saying anything.
"Rem, this will be your new Adventurer's Card." The receptionist handed Rem her new card.
"Thank you again." Rem looked at her card.
[Name: Rem]
[Job: Shadow Mage]
[Rank: C]
[Element: Shadow]
'I'm finally a C ranked adventurer! I can finally get those Flame Beast Cores.'
"Congratulations!" Harris grinned.
"Thanks." Rem put her new Adventurer's Card away.
"You can get the monster bodies at my butcher shop!" Harris told the receptionist.
"I know." The receptionist nodded.
"Anyway, I have to go now. Bye! Good luck and don't forget to come to me if you need any help with something!!!" Harris waved at Rem and left.
Rem faced the receptionist.
"Now that I'm a C rank adventurer, how do I get those Flame Beast Cores..?" Rem asked.
"Before I believe we had 3 Flame Beast Cores. Now, we have 6." The receptionist said.
"So how can I get them?" Rem asked again.
"Let me ask the Guild Master if I can give them to you right now. How many do you need?"
"I just need 5 of those." Rem replied.
"Alright." The receptionist called the Guild Master.
"Yes, what is it?" The Guild Master asked.
"Is it alright to give 5 Flame Beast Cores to Rem?"
"Of course. Rem became a C ranked adventurer in just a few days. I can tell he will contribute to us in the future. Give them to him. Consider it a congratulations gift from me."
"Yes, sir. I'll do that right away." The receptionist ended the call and went to get the Flame Beast Cores.
"Here you go." The receptionist handed Rem the Flame Beast Cores after getting them from the storage room.
"Thanks, a third time. Now that my business here is done, bye." Before the receptionist could say anything, Rem already vanished.
'I got these Flame Beast Cores after I waited about a whole week!!! It was a pain trying to obtain them...' Rem sighed and quickly ran to her dorm room to get the dragon egg.
When Rem arrived, Rem saw the egg that was still on the floor.
'Good thing you weren't stolen. Even if you did get stolen, I can sense you because we both have a bond.' Rem thought.
Rem looked at the requirements for the egg one more time.
[2,347/1,500 E Rank Mana Stones]
[583/100 D Rank Mana Stones]
[5/5 Flame Beast Cores]
'Time to finally hatch this egg!'
