{The Egg Will Now Hatch...}
Small cracks began to appear on the egg. Slowly, the cracks grew larger and a head suddenly popped out from the eggshell. The small creature crawled out of the shell and looked up at Rem.
'Whoaaa!!! A baby dragon..!' Rem thought, amused.
The baby dragon had red scales, a pair of wings, two small horns on its head, a tail that wagged like a dog, and two eyes that were the color of flames.
{It seems like this newborn dragon is a boy.}
'I see. Thanks for telling me.'
'Your name will be Roy. Roy, as in red and being a king.

The dragon jumped on Rem's shoulder. Rem inspected the dragon's status.

'What's a Yvrion?'
{Yvrions are a type of mythical beast. They are dragon-like creatures. Only two adult Yvrions and one newborn Yvrion exists in this universe. One of the adult Yvrions is a Fire Element Mythical Beast while the other one is a Shadow Element Mythical Beast. This little one seems to be a combination of both of them.}
"Kiiii!" Roy wagged his tail.
'Oh, I see. I guess that's cool.' Rem patted Roy's head while looking at Roy's skills.

'Hmmm... I guess that's good and bad. Just what is a Kager..?' Rem asked.

I can't keep u hidden since there's nothing I can do..! I might have to make up an excuse about how I have a pet dragon. Aw, geez... For now, hide in my backpack, okay?'
"Kiii!!!" Roy nodded and climbed in Rem's backpack.
'Good. Let's get going. We need you to get stronger. Today is Friday. It's still the afternoon so we have plenty of time to help you level up. Actually... Let's just spend today and the weekends grinding. Food or water won't be a problem..! Don't worry. I can just buy them in the shop.' Rem picked up the backpack.

'Try not to move around too much and don't make any noises. We don't want others to find out there's a dragon in my backpack, do we..?' Rem put on her backpack.
The newborn dragon kept quiet.
'Good.' Rem ran towards the Dark Forest.
In half an hour, Rem arrived at the Dark Forest.
'Roy! You can come out now.'
Roy got the message and flew out of Rem's backpack.
"KIII!!!" Roy flew around Rem.
"Are you hungry..?" Rem asked.
"Kiii!" Roy nodded.
'002, what do Yvrions eat?'
{They eat the same thing you do. They can eat almost anything.}
'Oh, I see. Here.' Rem took a piece of jerky from her inventory.
'I would usually eat jerky since they were tasty, cheap, and very easy to get. Plus, they're not messy and are convenient to eat. You don't even have to cook them.' Rem thought and handed Roy a piece of jerky.
Roy ate the jerky happily.
"Do you like it?"
"Kiii!" Roy nodded as he ate the jerky in his mouth, savoring it.
"Don't worry. I have a lot. Have these too." Rem handed Roy two more pieces of jerky.
Roy took the jerky greedily.
"After we eat, we're going to grind for some levels. You need to level up." Rem said to Roy, chewing on a piece of jerky herself.
"Kiii." Roy munched on his jerkies, not wanting to share.
After eating, Rem searched for some prey. Roy flew beside Rem and searched with her.
'There!' Rem found a Dark Wolf and inspected it.

'Roy! Attack that wolf! I'll only be helping you by using my Shadow Chains skill on the monsters. You will be in charge of attacking it. This way, you will get more EXP since you contributed more. I can also gain a little EXP with this method.' Rem activated her stealth and climbed on a tree.
Roy used Hellfire and a huge ray of dark flames appeared below the wolf. This skill created a huge hole in the ground and the wolf perished without being able to scream. Nothing was left.
"Kiii..!" Roy flew to Rem who wasn't affected by his Hellfire skill.
"What were you thinking??! This skill is way too overpowered, destructive, and it took away all your MP! I never knew your MP can be in the negatives but still..! Next time, use a weaker skill, please. You literally destroyed a third of this forest..." Rem scolded Roy as she sighed in disbelief.
"Kiii..." Roy looked wronged.
"Just don't ever use that skill carelessly anymore..!" Rem looked at Roy's stats.

{You can get Evolving Gems in Temples. Ay Temple is fine but there's only a 5% chance of getting one from the monsters in the Temple. You can get Shadow and Flame Stones in Towers. Obviously, you would need to go to a Shadow Element Tower if you need Shadow Stones and a Fire Element Tower if you need Flame Stones. They're quite rare. There's a 10% chance a monster in that tower will drop one.}
'Okay... Do Yvrions need sleep?'
{Yes, they do. Newborn Yvrions need at least two hours of sleep every day.}
'Makes sense. Roy, go rest for two hours in my backpack. While you rest, I'll try to find a Temple because we need some Evolving Gems. We need to get stronger!'
"Kiii!" Roy flew in Rem's backpack.
'002, do you know the closest temple?' Rem asked as she put on her backpack.

'Isn't the desert very far??? Aren't their closer Temples..?'
{There are but it's very rare but these days, temples, towers, and dungeons are becoming more common. They are still rare but there are more of them than usual since the portals appeared. Anyway, there's a swamp to the East of this forest. A hidden temple is located somewhere there. I cannot say the exact location but it is in that swamp somewhere. I can show you a map of the swamp.}
'Alright. Show me the map.' Rem waited for 002 to create the map.
A blue screen appeared in front of Rem with the location of the swamp.
'Thanks.' Rem ran towards the swamp swiftly, being careful to not disturb Roy.
