Three weeks later…
The house was disturbingly silent as Intervar shot up from his place on the couch, accidentally waking Donn and Odessa.
Barely over the pounding of his heart trying to escape his chest, he heard faint moving around, not like anyone else in the house.
"Intervar? What's wrong?" Odessa asked as he sat up, rubbing his face.
Donn huffed slightly and moved over to sit further in between them.
"You can't hear that?" He whispered, "Someone is moving inside the house."
Odessa shook his head, "That could be anyone. You just had a nightmare, go back to bed. "
"I'll just go check it out." Intervar insisted as he quietly got up.
"Fine, just let me go with you." Odessa groaned as he rolled over and got up.
They both jumped slightly when Donn groaned like she was in pain and rolled onto the floor. When no one picked her up, she huffed and got up.
