The next morning, the news reporters had done some investigating and had found out Elizabella's home address. They stood waiting outside her house while taking pictures of her outside fence. They had tried to climb over the tall walls but due to the high detailed security she normally has, none were able to go far. They waited until it was time for Elizabella to go to school or for anyone to leave the home.
Olivia had called her the night before in shock and had asked if she needed a ride to school the next day. She had assured her friend that she had a ride since she would need to leave early again for a doctor's appointment.
Soon, it was time for her to go to school. She made her way into her vehicle while two shadow guards accompanied her with Ganthony. Walliams was to stay home and prepare for his departure with his baby brother.
As soon as the gates opened, the reporters went into frenzy as they began to amass in front of the moving vehicle and did not let them leave. The constant questions and flashing lights flooded the air in front of the vehicle. For a moment, Elizabella and her entourage could not move.
Suddenly, the black vehicle started to give a metallic luster and sheen. It soon grew into a bubble surrounding the vehicle and gently pushed back the surrounding paparazzi. The vehicle gave a sudden jerk when to everyone's amazement, it began to hover and flew off into the distance, leaving everyone on the ground to only watch.
The reporters took as many pictures and recordings as they could before they turned to look at each other in dismay.
"Was it not reported that the Baroness has no way to earn enough to even impress any of the nobility? Why is it that the young Lady can use a hover vehicle just to get to school?"
"It seems to be a newer model as well. Did you notice the repellent just then? They are supposed to come with the new model vehicles that came in the market two months ago."
"I heard that you needed to reserve them ahead of time because there was only a limited amount when they first came out; however, you can have it added on as a feature. I hear it is still costly to own and install. So is the unassuming vehicle the newest model that is hard to get, or an ordinary hover vehicle with the added feature?"
"How do you suppose they were able to own one or the other if their financial situation is not the best?"
"Perhaps it was a gift from the Royal Family since we should assume that they have been together for some time."
"They are moving too quick! Has she not been living in the capital for roughly six months? Even if they met then, isn't this too fast? They are still not of legal age. Why the rush?"
"Maybe they met earlier? They claim she has traveled a lot before coming here to the capital. Has the Crown Prince not traveled as well?"
"Still, it feels too fast… something else must be happening in the background."
"You don't think… they have already taken their relationship to the next level already and their families are trying to cover it up?"
"Huh?! That could honestly be… How else can they afford that vehicle when they are not rich?"
The reporters were soon in a heated discussion as they theorized what was truly happening with this relationship with what limited information they could get. Some tried to see if they could contact any of their Palace informants for any new content, some eventually dispersed to write up their thoughts on the matter while others remained camping to see if they could get any information from any passing neighbor.
Many of the neighbors were not pleased since they would get rowdy at times disturbing the peace. Other neighbors complained because they were being harassed to get any information from them. The ones that did comply with an interview all said the same; they, the Harkins, keep to themselves and were quiet neighbors.
They became such pests to the neighbors leaving for their work or school that eventually the Royal Police had to come and keep the peace.
Meanwhile, Elizabella had made it safely to school. Her two shadow guards stayed inside her shadow while Ganthony went with the other guards. The student population seemed to be aware that Elizabella was the future Crown Princess and all gawked at her, while whispering behind her back. Some even so far as to greet her as the future Crown Princess, making her respond back politely.
She did not mind all the attention much since she was used to being in the limelight back at home for various reasons. She walked with grace up to her locker space in which she could easily fit in because of her smaller size. She mostly kept her extra clothes in there if she was planning on staying after school to host auditions or any outdoor activities.
She had decided at one point to decorate it with a poster of her friends from an artistic troupe with them performing with a traveling circus. She had not really looked at it since she put it up, but today she was enraptured with it as she stared and finally sighed before placing her clothes and closing the door behind her. Her walk to class was uninterrupted as she walked through a parted path from the students.
Throughout the day, her seat was moved to the front of the class and she no longer sat by herself near the window. She sighed knowing that her every move was being monitored. She normally did not mind since that was her life back with her parents; however, after months of not being in the spotlight, she found it a bit awkward when the other students stared during class.
Eventually, she just decided to ignored their stares. She had brought her own lunch again and was glad that she could find a secluded area to eat her food outside. She was able to rest under a shady tree on a bench as she gazed at the passing clouds, the only breather she knew she would have for a while.
Once her last class finished, she again had asked for permission to leave school early to go straight to the Palace. Her extra clothes and accessories she had brought were to wear before she left to the Palace so she would appear presentable in front of the Royal Family. She had left through the back way and was not seen by the hounding paparazzi that were still camping near the entrance, hoping to interview anyone that were willing to speak on the Royal engagement.
