She glanced at me with a completely cold look that didn't match her age at all! "So you are laughing for me to be the crown prince? As a punishment from me, you will always address me as sir all this night."
I really, really tried hard to keep my laughs inside. This little punny was really funny and amusing. Sigh, I couldn't even get them to live with me at the capital, or else imagine how many crimes we would have made if they were with me?
A disaster, in the tone of my father, that was a very funny thought to me.
"So, where you want to go, sir?" I impersonated the role of Richard at once, asked her about what to do now.
"See that huge black thing over there? take me there, and protect me well, or else I will severely punish you, huh."
She really was playing the role of me so serious that I, for a second there, mistook her as me. She even was much more arrogant than myself! "Of course, sir, let's go lads!"
This was one of the favourite quotes of Richard, as he kept seeing everyone under him as his lad. I didn't know why he was so arrogant, thinking himself so high, but at this moment I seriously thought of tarnishing his place in this little girl's memory and doing shameful things.
How much I desire to do some shameful acts! To defile the honored name of my false title!
"Go ahead, sir, we will protect you with all our might," the two cousins said while laughing silently without making a sound.
We moved, with this four small caravan, heading towards the distant huge dark wall, appearing like a black curtain blocking the horizon from our place.
I knew the general designs of this wall, and also knew the fact that it was under construction in many places currently, so even some parts of it were demolished, to be rebuilt brand new.
This cost my treasury a fortune! However due to some strange secret relation between my esteemed father and the head of a construction guild, or to be more frank his eighteen years sly playful daughter, my father persisted in doing major renovations there.
I sighed, as I knew this would make our kingdom poorer!
The only possible solution would be to enforce more taxes, an act that I would really fight hard against, despite knowing my opinion wouldn't matter.
As I was lost in these disturbing thoughts, the little punny excitedly pointed to the front as she said:
"Richard, go there and see if we reached the wall."
I was jolted awake from my daze, glanced briefly at the giant looking huge wall in front of us, while saying:
"It's the wall, sir. We have reached it."
"Send one of your men to check that out," she said, pointed with strange arrogance towards the front. I followed her finger, to find a strange spot she selected, without knowing how she found it, and she asked this to be checked.
This little prank was really living her role perfectly, and thus it was my turn to live it as well.
"You, lad, go there and tell me what is there," I said, speaking in some arrogance, trying to match Richard's tone and attitude as much as I could.
"No, Richard doesn't speak like this, right sisters?" Suddenly a little punny jumped out of her role, and said this comment that forced my surprised look towards the two sisters.
"Yes, little punny, he is fair, just, calm, passionate, and so manly and generous!" Oly said.
These little devils! What in the world were they thinking by making Richard's image better? Were they crazy or something?
Who was fair, just, calm, …etc? Was that a fairy tale perhaps?
I had to restrain myself, greatly, so not to reprimand these two in front of their little pure innocent cousin here. "I like him rude and offensive, it better suited the role of him best," I simply commented, while silently glaring at the two little devils, warning them.
"Oh, you know I might prefer him this way, at least the crown prince will be safe all the time. Richard is his guardian, Richard is his protector."
'And Richard is his executioner!' I silently said to myself, adding the right word describing him, not all these lies!
"Now go, listen to my knight's words," little punny hurriedly jumped back to the role of me, ordering Oly to go and check that strange spot over there.
We were roughly half kilometer away from the wall, so we could see its general shape from our location. The whole wall was painted in dark blue, except for a certain spot that appeared roughly like a small totally black circle from our location.
As we waited, Oly went, unwillingly, there, stood there for a minute, before running back, with the highest speed possible of her pony, with some urgency in her movement.
She seemed distressed, or excited, I couldn't tell from here.
At this moment, I really regretted not bringing my sword with me! I never thought I might need it here, so left it hidden in my room, slipped into there by the hands of Entely.
"Great news, big news, that spot is a hole, a long deep hole bypassing the entire wall!"
Once Oly came to us, and before she even stopped, she hurriedly said, with much excitation over her face.
"How come such a hole be in my mighty wall?" little punny was really completely into it, "we shall see what lies on the other end of it, right?"
I didn't know if she was acting or speaking seriously here, but the first reaction, the innate reaction, of mine was to refuse her suggestion.
However, just thinking about refusal made me realize living inside that prison had really deeply affected my soul! Wasn't I always dreaming to be rebellious? To break the laws?
I made up my mind, but the fact I had to accept and admit, bitterly, was that we needed weapons before going there!
"We need swords, sir, so we can better protect you in the wild!"
"I spotted a couple of shiny pointed things at the entrance of that hole, perhaps they are swords?" Oly muttered, while glancing at me, her cousin, and little punny like she was asking for their final call.
"It's settled, Richard, go and grab these swords, and let's go through that hole," little punny said, while suddenly shifting to her real self, while clapping as a little kid of her age, "Wow, real swords, I can't believe my day will end up seeing real swords. I want one, hurry and get me one!"
I only smiled, helplessly, as this little devil was already so excited about it, even more than I.
