after Felix's explanation and storytelling, Violet was at a loss for words, she couldn't believe that she was a god and that she was the original god of magic nonetheless, after this she had a change of heart and changed her resolve, after Timothy was done explaining to Melertz too, Violet had even more questions than ever before, but she had to hold off on some of them for the moment, but even so she couldn't help but ask the two gods in question about what she had to say to them.
"Felix, why didn't you tell me this before and only tell me now, and Tim was what you said about giving me immortality a trick then?"
"well I thought that since you were still just a child that, even if I had told you, you wouldn't understand what I was saying and call me crazy again." Felix replied with his best excuse at hand.
"um... I guess?" Tim answered.
"hey Tim, could you come with me for a second?" Violet spoke to Tim as she glared at him.
Tim swallowed his saliva and went with Violet into the other room, just as Tim was about to ask Violet what she was going to do to him, she replied with "some interrogation, if you can call it that I suppose." at this point, Tim was sweating as if he had just gone to the underworld and were facing off against the lord of the underworld.
after an hour Violet finally let him go, and as he came out of the room he was sweating so much his clothes were drenched from head to toe in sweat, even his shoes looked as if they'd been splashed by a whole bucket of water, Tim was literally sweating buckets.
"uh... Tim? are you alright? you look sick." Melertz asked him in a worried voice, "I'm alright, just a bit tense..." Tim replied while shaking where he stood, "I never knew the original god of magic was this scary when she was ticked off..."
"well that's just because no one had dared to trick her before, but since she had this type of behavior, I guess she managed to get some of her memories about magic usage back after the explanation and her growing" Felix told Timothy, "still I wonder if she will regain all of her memories, but even for her I seriously doubt anyone could gain back all their memories after reincarnation."
"yeah, your not wrong on that one, not even a god like us could regain all our memories, though I don't know what reincarnation is like, since neither of us had the need to do it, even in the war you were stationed at base while I was in the back of the frontline, mainly those in the front of the frontline had to reincarnate, but even with reincarnation some of the gods couldn't make it in time and many of them died, mainly because the enemy had a ancient relic that was created by our king only 10 years after he was born and they had stolen it to stall the process of reincarnation."
"alright, we should get going now good luck." Tim told everyone, "ok Violet follow me once we get back." Felix reminded Violet, "yes sir!"
Once Felix and Violet were back in their world, Violet noticed something strange, "hey Felix, why am I still 16 and not 26, even though I've went back and forth twice now." Violet questioned Felix, "well the shard only makes you grow older when you enter worlds you've never been in before."
"oh I think I understand how the shard works now." Violet said, "there's still a lot more about the shard that you don't know, so don't underestimate it, it is Tim's power after all."
After walking for about an hour or two, Felix and Violet came up on another temple that was destroyed and all that was left was debris from the battle, "this looks fresh, look there's still smoke coming up from under the debris." Felix warned Violet, "should we go check it out and see if there are any clues?"
"no, Violet if we go there, there might be a trap or the culprit could still be nearby." Felix grunted, "by culprit, do you mean that Mede person you and Tim were talking about?" Violet asked, "well I'm still not completely sure if it's Mede, but if it is, then were going to have a hard time taking her out."
"even for us?" Violet asked, "let me tell you something Violet , Mede was one of the generals back when the war was at it's peak, she mercilessly slaughtered anyone that was in her way, that includes most of my soldiers as well, and since you've forgotten how to use most of your magic this'll be even harder but just try to use what magic you have now."
"alright I understand, but what's the plan? we still don't know who is behind this." Violet said
"ok I think I know, first you place a holding spell in the middle of the ruin, then if the culprit comes to get you, the spell will activate once they're in it's perimeter and after that we continue from there after capturing them if the plan works like I hope it will."
"so I'm just bait I guess." Violet said with a sigh, "exactly!" Felix said while smiling and giving her the thumbs up, "well if something else happens entirely then we might be in deep trouble, but I doubt that anyone is that smart." Felix said without a doubt, "this is bad, his plan sucks and he doesn't even have a countermeasure? I'm done for." Violet thought to herself, "well I suppose there isn't any other way to lure out the culprit."
Violet cautiously approaches the center of the ruin in order to place the seal she had just remembered how to use, "it's quite convenient how one of the first spells I'd remember were offensive spells and a sealing spell." Violet thought
Once Violet stepped on the circle signaling the center, she proceeded with the plan and created the spell in the exact position Felix had told her to place it, and after that she squatted down and pretended to be looking for something while the spell was hidden all around her and she was just in the middle of it, then she heard some grunting in the bushes that sounded like a man who was 40 years old, he saw Violet and asked.
"what are you doing here kid?" the man looked at her with the eyes of someone evil, "oh I heard there was treasure here so I came to look for it." Violet replied, "how could this have been done by him? it must've been someone else that destroyed that temple, he just looks like some petty thief." she mumbled to herself.
"wow, is there really treasure here? and what are you mumbling about over there?"
"oh nothing, it's really nothing at all." Violet replied wondering what he would do next.
The man walked closer and closer, step by step towards Violet until he got caught up in the spell and was held down by golden chains brighter than gold itself, "what is this? what are you doing to me! let me go now or I swear you'll regret it you hear me!"
Felix jumped out from his spot to talk to Violet about what he had figured out, "listen Violet, I can confirm that Mede did this." Felix whispered to Violet, "and how are you so sure?" Violet whispered back, "I saw Mede in the forest earlier when we first arrived and it looked like she had just destroyed it and took the orb but didn't want to butt heads with us, I'm sure you don't know about this but Mede has a special ability for a god, her ability is that she can see spells being conjured or chanted and since she knew you were going to create a sealing spell she quickly ran off, but if you hadn't made that sealing spell there's no doubt that she would've attacked us."
"I understand but should we chase her?" Violet replied
"no we shouldn't chase her, that would only make our situation worse."
"hey! what are you two mumbling on about! release me now, or my buddies are gonna take care of you!"
just then 7 men looking about in their 30's came out from the bushes and started rushing towards Violet and Felix, "Violet! use an attack spell to incapacitate them first!." Felix screamed.
Violet conjured icicles from magic and sent them towards the thugs and quickly knocked them all out, and suddenly from behind came a dark figure that hit Violet over the head causing her to fall over, "ow! what was that! it came from behind me!" Violet shouted.
The dark figure became many and they came out from the shadows revealing themselves to be something terrifying, they were Mede's soldiers who were watching them the whole time, Mede was behind the soldiers and gave them the order to kill Violet and Felix.
Violet immediately started conjuring the strongest attack spell she could at the moment and Felix took out his swords, Felix used his power to light his swords on fire, Violet shot 7 swords towards one of the soldiers making it topple over and smashing it's head on the ground leaving a strange black mist coming out from its head flowing across the ground.
"watch out Violet! don't touch that stuff, it'll consume you and turn you into a soldier."
Felix then used his fire to burn away the mist, then as Violet tried to fire another shot, the swords were blocked by a barrier created by Mede.
"child, that sort of magic won't work against me, I can see what you're conjuring you know?" Mede spoke in a slow voice.
"Violet there's no time to waste, hurry get a sword!" Felix said hastily.
Violet created a sword made from her magic, Felix and Violet charged towards the other 4 soldiers and Felix took on 3 while Violet took on the other one, "wow this is such a sight to behold! a mere human child fighting against one of my soldiers! how wonderful." she spoke again in a slow voice as if she was enjoying every word, "this woman is sick in the head!" Violet thought as she lunged at the soldier."
Violet grabbed its leg and stabbed the sword under it's armor and pierced it's flesh, the soldier flinched as it tried to grab Violet from behind, before it could get a hold of her she created another sword and jumped over it cutting it down from behind slashing its back open.
Felix also lunged towards the soldiers at quickly made short work of two of them, but the last one cut his arm and made him jump back quite a bit, he most likely couldn't take them all on due to his lost of power, the flames on his sword disappeared and he had to fall back letting Violet take care of it, Violet once again jumped over it's head and swung her sword cutting off it's right arm, the soldier turned around and swung at her as she just barely managed to squat down out of it's way and sliced its jaw open from beneath.
When Felix and Violet went to look for Mede she had already disappeared before they had finished the fight.
"just where did that woman go off to again, I can't believe she would just run away like this after destroying one of my temples."
