Chapter 265 - An Unexpected Arrival

"Do you think Bea is okay?" Steven asked, running right beside me as we made our way towards the cave entrance.

"I'm sure she's fine." I responded in a reassuring manner.

Instead of seeing a bright blue sky, I was met with dark grey clouds that covered as far as the eye could see. In the distance stood Bea, staring at what seemed to be a giant tornado in the distance that was ravaging through the forest.

"What in the world did we miss while we were in the cave?" Steven asked, staring at the tornado with a worried expression.

Bea turned towards Steven and shrugged her shoulders, "all I heard was the explosion and turned around in time to see strong winds head over to where the tornado is."

Steven tilted his head at Bea's comment, "strong winds? That merchant, Felix, was capable of using some pretty strong wind magic. I saw him use it to clear some debris back when Metalbeard attacked the town."

"He's the whole reason why we came here so I better go and check to see if that's actually him!" I said, smacking the sides of my face to pump me up.

"I? You plan on going alone?" Steven asked, giving me a strange look.

"Yeah, I've still got some energy left in me so it's best I go. Steven, could you take Bea back to the village? I know you're exhausted right now so it's for the best that you catch your breath in the village anyway." I looked over at Steven who was giving me a disheartened expression.

Steven quickly shook his head and had a confident look in his eyes, "No can do. I won't let you fight whatever is over there by yourself."

"Then who will be there to protect Bea in case any monsters appear? Because I know full well I'm not taking her to where the giant tornado is! Not to mention, if that really is Felix over there then I won't actually be alone." I gave Steven a reassuring smile.

Steven's confidant look became one of saddened realization. He slumped a little bit before letting out a sad sigh and turning towards Bea. As Bea began to walk away, Steven turned back towards me, "you better come back safely or I won't forgive you."

"I promise." I gave Steven another reassuring smile before giving him a thumbs up.

Steven gave me one last worried expression before closing his eyes and letting out a tired sigh. When he reopened them, he nodded in my direction before taking off after Bea. With Steven and Bea out of the way, all that was left now was me and whoever was over by the tornado.

"I've still got a lot of mana left over thanks to Steven taking down that monster by himself. I should have enough to launch myself over to that tornado… probably." I said, reaching my arms backwards and opening my hands towards whatever was behind me.
