Chapter 174 - I’ll Face Myself: Alice

"You're done." Yuki said, pointing towards the exit.

Alice stood there in confusion over what she just heard. When Yuki called her earlier it sure didn't sound like he was mad or about to kick her from the guild. Alice couldn't even think of a good reason of why she was being kicked out of this guild.

"What did I do?" Alice asked with an honest expression on her face.

Yuki was completely dumbfounded.

"A-are you stupid? You sent half of your team to the hospital because you showed off your full power!" Yuki yelled, slamming his fist into his desk.

"Not my fault they can't dodge." Alice shrugged, turning her head to avoid eye contact.

A large vein became visible on Yuki's forehead as a response to what Alice said. His eyes were closed and his smile was clearly fake. The face startled Alice enough to take a full step back.

"S-sorry, I'll make sure to keep that in mind next time." Alice said, bowing her head.

Yuki put his palm against his face and let out a deep sigh, "there isn't going to be a next time Alice. The guild held a vote to kick you out and it ended up working."

Alice's eyes widened when she heard Yuki say that. She turned her head up and saw that his face was dead serious. She could also see a deep sorrow in his eyes.

"Alice… I'm sorry. I truly didn't want you to go but I completely understood where our guild was coming from. I'm sure though that with enough time, you'll find a group of people that'll accept you for who you are." Yuki said, getting up from his chair and walking towards the door.

Yuki stopped next to Alice and put something in her hand. It was a small necklace that had a sapphire in the center of it.

"Consider it a parting gift." Yuki said, waving her goodbye as he finally walked out the room.

Alice stared down at the necklace for a moment. She knew just how important this piece of jewelry was to Yuki and yet he still gave it to her.

"Thank you, Yuki. I guess I should also thank whoever put me in this memory." Alice said, looking around the room.

The walls around her suddenly began to expand out, creating what seemed to be an endless void. Alice took a deep breath before putting on the necklace.

"Well let's get started then."
