A roar of a beast can be heard throughout the Battle Hall. Jake's sword continued to gather more flames, Jake was sweating so hard but he didn't mind it as he thought that he would finally win. Kairi had chanted another ice spell to protect them, but it requires time. Leo rushed at Kaito with 3 earthen spears, he thrusted one at Kairi and 2 at Kaito. Kaito didn't hesitate to block the attacks for Kairi. The spears hit Kaito, one in the stomach and one on each of his shoulders. The spears were pointed this time. Kaito bled and his blood poured on the floor, he collapsed on the floor, trying his best to stop the bleeding. Kairi remembered this same scene. When Val tried to protect her, she got beaten up half to death. Kaito saved her from Leo's spear but now, he is lying on the floor, dying. Kairi was waiting for Bernard to act but it seems he has no intention to stop and disqualify Jake's team. "Wasn't he supposed to stop Nobles or commoners from dying in this match?" Kairi thought. If she was to stop chanting now and heal Kaito instead, Jake's will take the chance to attack.
"I'm fine" Kaito's voice ringed at Kairi's head.
"You should win this match" Kaito said as more and more blood bled out his body.
"I'll win this match then come back to you, make sure you wait for me" Kairi said as she continued chanting.
"Yeah" Kaito said as he passed out. Leo grinned.
"I'm done with the commoner!" Leo shouted at Jake.
"It's time to end this" Jake said as he rushed with his sword towards Kairi.
Kairi chanted the same magic before, a large blockade of ice stopped Jake. But Jake didn't hesitated to slash Kairi's ice. The ice quickly melted as Jake continued slashing. Just as Jake made his way, Kairi removed the Ice Barrier Spell, then chanted a large-scale spell, Eternal Blizzard. The temperature quickly dropped and an Iceland formed. Jake's feet were frozen, from time to time he would use his sword to melt the ice at his feet. Unfortunately Leo didn't know any fire magic, in the end he got frozen. He will not die as long as he didn't stayed frozen for 72 hours that is why Bernard didn't interfered. Kairi then chanted a movement spell, Wind hover, Kairi used this to make some distance as she chanted another spell. Jake no longer has mana as his sword had consumed it all, he chased Kairi like a madman, swinging his sword everywhere, it created burnt marks wherever his sword touched. As Kairi finished chanting her spell, a spear of light appeared. This spell was a holy magic, Spear of Light. It gets stronger as more mana it consumed. Kairi moved all her remaining mana to the Spear. It glowed more stronger than before and had it's size increase by threefold. Since Kairi no longer had mana, Wind Hover came off. She then pointed her finger at Jake, the Spear followed and dashed at Jake. Holy magic can never kill, but can knock out it's targets, only the Undead are killed by Holy Magic. As Jake and the Spear gets nearer, Jake smiled then took out another scroll. It was another Magic-capturing scroll, even though it might not fully absorb the Spear, it can decrease it's power. When Kairi saw this, she felt that Jake was cheating as he always used those scrolls during this match. Kairi aren't allowed to use them as their family is not as rich as the Azrec family. Just as Jake and the Spear collided, an abrupt change of mana flow happened. Because of this change, the mana in this area became empty. As a mage with a high affinity for magic, Kairi had noticed it. Because of this abrupt change in mana, Jake had failed to activate the scroll in time, thus the Spear hit him, he fell to the ground unconscious.
"Kairi and Kaito , Wins this round!" Bernard's voice echoed throughout the Battle Hall.
Kairi had thought that maybe Kaito had helped her again, because there was no magic that can change the flow of mana, maybe except the Forbidden Element, Darkness. Kairi hurried to Kaito then removed the spears at his body, she then chanted Holy Magic at Kaito. Kaito's wounds slowly closed. Kaito was brought into one of the medical rooms for further treatment.
