I was so confused as to why everything was happening to me the way that it was. Nothing made sense anymore. The video, the family, the new job, school, Alessio. None of it made sense.
I couldn't stop thinking about the video and the unknown caller. I just closed my computer.
I've been sitting here for hours and everything was starting to take its toll on me. Melanie tried to get me to go to the gym with her but I didn't want to do anything at all. I felt like my life is taking a 180 and there is nothing I can do to stop anything from changing. I hated change.
Is this what a mid-life crisis feels like?
"I'd hardly call it a midlife crisis."
I looked up and realized Melanie had come into the room.
"How long have you been standing there?"
"Long enough to know you're losing your mind." She sat on the bed and stared at me. I could tell she wanted to pry but didn't.
