"Oi you bunch of goons, come over here we need to talk." Magnus finally called the guys from Class A10-B.
"Keke, brother Xiong Min this rude older brother here says he wants to have words with us. Coming here alone, you think you're so tough huh? Don't you know which gang we belong to?"
A thin student who looked like an underling began to ridicule Magnus right in his face, but Magnus faced it without a change in expression.
"What brings an upperclassman here?" These words were spoken by a tan skinned burly man with a buzz cut and was about as tall as Xiao Chen. This student's name was Xiong Min.
"It would seem that there's a bit of a rumor about a girl that's been going around which i specifically don't like, have you got any hand in this?" Magnus asked Xiong Min.
"Oh you mean that girl Trista? I do have a part in those, in fact it wasn't just a part, I was the one who spread the rumor." Xiong Min replied to Magnus without a trace of shame in his expression.
"What do you mean? Have you got any grievances with her?" Magnus was annoyed, but he remained emotionless.
"Are you her boyfriend or something? If you are, then you're one unlucky guy. Do you know what makes this rumor different from the other ones?" Xiong Min asked Magnus.
"Unlucky? Difference? What do you mean, man? Come on tell me... my patience doesn't last very long." Magnus replied. He was confused, but acting tough was his current priority.
"Well, the difference between this rumor and the other ones is that this one isn't just a rumor, I've seen it with my two eyes man. She went out the hotel with an old fucking man he was fat and ugly too, do you believe this?! Hahaha, but I'm telling you this isn't just one time." Xiong Min laughed as he told Magnus.
"What a liar! I don't believe you at all. Tris isn't that type of girl, if you want to ruin her image then you should probably try better than that." Xiong Min's laugh annoyed Magnus very much, and so Magnus replied arrogantly.
"What the fuck are you talking about, if you don't believe me then you should probably see for yourself. Check Welsaum, you'll see your hoe of a girlfriend there by night." Xiong Min said to Magnus while looking annoyed.
"If what you're saying is false, then you'll definitely find what you are looking for, but for now you lot need to mind your own businesses and scram!." Magnus ordered the underclassmen.
"Brother Xiong Min are we really just going to leave this arrogant bastard alone without doing anything?" The student beside Xiong Min asked him impatiently. He looked as if he was ready to attack Magnus anytime he was allowed to do so.
"He came here alone. Either he thinks that were idiots that won't do anything if insulted or he's just confident that he would hold fine alone even if we gang up on him. I also want to teach him a lesson just as much as you want to but we don't know what this man is capable of so we should leave him alone, let's go." Xiong Min replied before turning his back to leave.
Hearing the news personally made it hard for Magnus to decide. This time he wasn't daydreaming, this was reality and he knew of it. Magnus was severely confused. He didn't know what to do and what he should believe in. Magnus could only stand in his place motionlessly and after a short period of time, only then did he decide to see if Xiong Min and his gang were telling the truth.
By the time Magnus got home, it was already afternoon. Seeing that Magnus was in a desperate hurry to find out the truth but was still in his uniform, he decided that he needed to change his clothing.
Magnus switched clothes as quickly as he could and quickly went out to go to Welsaum, a street famous at their city. Some people also regarded this street as the red-light district of Lucenia, the place which Magnus would supposedly find Tris.
"Man, should I really do this? I know Tris isn't someone that would do something like this, but what if she had a reason? A reason so oppressive that might've pushed her into doing this. No, I shouldn't assume things. Those goons were probably just lying to me." Magnus turned around to go home but something stopped him from turning.
It was a girl whose figure and appearance resembled that of Trista very much. "Oh lord, please tell me that's not her.... wait, who's that with her?" Magnus squinted his eye, hoping he could see them better.
While examining the two, Magnus came to a sudden realization and his face immediately went pale.
"Fucking hell, it is her! Fuck!, fuck!, fuck! You've gotta be kidding me man. Xiong Min was actually telling the truth!! Fuck this I'm coming over, I need to know why she's done this. There has to be some kind of reason for this." Magnus went mad as he ran straight to where Trista was.
"Oi Trista! Who's that guy beside you? Has he done anything to you?!" Magnus asked her with a high voice appearing to be angry. Even forcefully holding Trista's wrist as he reprimanded.
"What are you doing here Magnus?!" Trista asked. She frantically shook off Magnus's grip on her wrist and Trista's facial expression clearly indicated that she was shocked and was definitely not happy that she was seen by Magnus.
"That's the question you should be answering!"
"Why are you here?"
"..."
"Did something happen?"
"..."
"Why didn't you tell me?"
"..."
"Who's that old man beside you?!"
Magnus furiously rained questions to her, but Trista finally had her fill.
*SMACK*
"Enough!! I'm not telling you anything today Magnus! As for this guy? He's a friend, do you understand? Buzz off now will you?" Starting off with a slap, Trista confronted Magnus.
"So that's how it is huh?! Nevermind it then! I'm not having any of this shit. Fuck this."
Disappointment, confusion, anger, sadness and pain above all else were written all over Magnus's face, but he couldn't express it fully. He didn't know what just happened. No, he decided to not know what happened, Magnus suddenly became a chicken and turned a blind eye to this. He wanted to take action... but in the end all he could do was go back home.
'This can't be happening, I need to talk to Tris about this privately.' Magnus said to himself on his way home. He tried not to cry and slept as soon as he got home.
Magnus woke up and prepared himself for another day just like any other normal day, like nothing bad ever happened but what occurred yesterday broke him. During lunch time, Magnus went to Trista's classroom and told her that he wanted to talk to her privately.
Although hesitant, Tris eventually accepted, and they agreed at a certain place... Trista's home.
