"Hello? Beth? Oh my Gosh! Finally ! I heard about what happened" Brittney exclaimed," Where's Rebecca?"
"She's with me... we're in a safe house. But they're bringing us to you... You're in some safe house too?" She asked.
"Not really... I called dad, and he rented out this house for me. I have a protective detail. Umm, I heard about what happened at the station." she said, fiddling with the hem of her shirt.
"Yeah... that's a whole story" Beth sighed," My hand is broken and Rebecca got hurt too... anyway we will see you soon Brit. Take care" She said and cut the call.
Brittney sighed and turned to the door from where she could see officer Bonnet eating his breakfast. The gun close to his fingers as if ready to shoot at anything that moved.
She looked down at her phone which she had held with an iron grasp," Uh... Bonnie?" She called.
"Yes?" He turned, hand on the gun almost immediately.
