"Come on! We are in Italy! We are not spending our night in a holding cell" one of the college girls whined.
"Brittney... there is a murderer-"
"And she already murdered the rest of the group, so why would she come after us now? Plus everyone is searching for her. She will get caught. " She assured the two girls. They had been locked up for more than half a day and Brittney wasn't interested in staying there any longer. She felt like the threat was now diminished, and they could actually leave.
"Then tell the police officer you want to go and leave" The other girl urged," but I'm warning you... it is dangerous"
She was fed up with hearing the girl whine about how much she wanted to leave as it had been going on for hours now.
"What are you even going to do?" She asked," run in the streets of Italy with a lockdown?"
"Yeah! Imagine a drink in one hand and the beautiful empty streets of Italy! Insta would eat this up" Brittney chuckled.
"Yeah they'd love how the murderer rips your face off" The girls rolled their eyes.
"Come on live a little" Brittney sighed. The officers at first urged her to stay inside but couldn't exactly do it against her will, and considering the fact that they weren't Italian nationals, it would become even more complicated.
They repeatedly urged her to stay inside, but she wasn't one to be swayed and instead pushed them to send her out. Chiara herself asked her to stay in, but she refused and eventually was let out after her statement was recorded. Chiara ordered that a policeman tail her until she reached the hotel she was residing at.
Brittney pouted as she walked out of the jail cell. Her friends had completely refused to accompany her and a policeman was walking ten feet away from her.
It wasn't such a big deal according to her. Why would a serial killer want to follow her into a police station. If the killer was smart they would be on the run, wouldn't they?
The streets were not deserted per se, but they were rather lifeless. Few men roamed the streets, evidently drunk. Realizing that the clothes she had on were a bit too short, she looked back at the officer who was only a little distance away in his car. She sighed and walked up to his car which slowed down to a stop.
"I uh... need a ride" She admitted sheepishly.
He nodded and agreed to let her in. The check posts let them pass, and she directed him to her hotel which was on the other side of town.
"My uh... name is Brittney" she smiled.
He responded with a tight smile," Uh I'm Officer Antonie Bonnet"
"Okay Antonie" She sounded out the name," so why is the city such a dead place?"
"Well, there's a serial killer on the loose" He reasoned," That tends to dampen all festivities"
"Good point" she chuckled sheepishly, enjoying the night air.
"So where are you from sir?" she asked sweetly.
"I'm from Rome" he replied.
"Sweet I was supposed to visit after we left Palermo. Perhaps you could tell us a few good places?" She smirked flirtatiously.

Chiara had watched the girl leave. She sighed as Constantine walked over with a cup of coffee in his hand.
"Have some?" he asked. She smiled and took it.
"I can't believe she wanted to leave after seeing such gruesome murders" she shook her head.
"Can't really stop that can we?" Constantine said with a pitiful smile," All we can do is-"
The sound of commotion distracted them, and they ran over to the holding cells where Bianca and Destiny were.
"What's going on?" Chiara asked as Officers entered the cells.
"She's here... Kore is here" Destiny yelled as Constantine struggled to calm her down.
