"Thank God, this got booked early" Bianca muttered as she watched the large crowds of people walk around the Church of Santa Maria dell'Ammiraglio, her head had begun to throb, but she had finally finished her part of the tour for the day, now she could relax a lot more while the group looked around. She wasn't really very good at this, but she did know a lot about these places thanks to her dad. This was but a stop-gap measure, and she would eventually be able to take over her dad's garage which was much easier to manage. For now, she was in a legal battle with his fourth wife who also wanted ownership for it.
Thinking of Aurelie made her squirm, of all the wives that her father had had, she was the worst. A vile and rather vindictive woman, she had no idea why her father even married her initially.
However, when he was jailed for being a hitman, she realized it was most probably because her estate was a good place to smuggle arms and weapons.
"Hey, Bianca! Are you okay? You look a little tired." Emma walked over. She was a tourist from France who had come over with her husband for a honeymoon. Bianca didn't know much about them except that Destiny despised them for some unknown reason and rolled her eyes every time they showed each other any form of affection.
"Yeah, I'm fine just a headache" Bianca smiled. The tour group was rather nice and if she was even a little more inclined towards being friendly, she would talk to all of them; but in all honesty, she would rather sit alone like a cactus in the desert than socialize.
From what she saw, they all were lighthearted people, save for Kore who was the strangest of the bunch. Destiny was quite nice as well, she was not overly friendly and mostly kept to herself, the strangest thing about her was that she visibly gagged when there was any sort of public displays of affection. Perhaps she hated any sort of affection? Whatever it was, it made for good entertainment.
Kore tilted her head as she watched everyone gape at the beauty of the Church. She had seen it so many times now and all she cared about was the news. Matteo still wasn't released, and the police hadn't even accepted the murders that were already done. How dare they!
She had worked hard, and they didn't even acknowledge it. However, this tour group was a nice way to blend in, besides she could do what she loved: Get to know people, know their insecurities and fears... and then remove those fears by killing them.
She almost missed Rome, they had at least taken her seriously! For so long she was all that they had talked about. Her name was plastered everywhere... they called her the butcher! What a silly name... but now they would know her as her real name- La Strega.
She would be their witch, and they wouldn't be able to wake up in the morning without hearing her name. They would be bewitched by her. But all good things take time, and she had enough on her hands.
Watching the French couple walk around hand in hand, she smirked. Well, Palermo hadn't noticed her and if they didn't ... France would.
The evening saw a large discussion on the bus as it often did. The couple was retelling their love story.
"So then, right there on the beach, while the sunset in the background, he proposed and I said yes" Emma smiled as the others awed at her. Destiny rolled her eyes at this story and watched as the others asked for more details and saw the ring.
Telling herself that she was over her own breakup, she seethed with jealousy over the entire story. It was simply too sweet to be true. Her own story hadn't been bad... he had proposed at a steakhouse, the ring had turned out to be fake, and they fought a lot before the sham of a wedding. In retrospect, she wondered why she had even dated him to begin with.
"Someone's bored" Bianca whispered in her ear.
"I'm not one for romance" Destiny whispered back.
"Same" Bianca, sat by her and offered chocolate," gosh today was tiring wasn't it?" she asked.
"Yeah, it was..." She sighed," I don't know... I expected touring to be more thrilling"
"Well, things like bungee jumping may be up your avenue" Bianca shrugged," but anyway the tour will be done in two days..."
"True... it's not like I have any other work to do anyway," she mumbled, looking over at Kore who looked bored out of her mind. Guess she wasn't the only one who hated love stories.
