Chapter 2 - Tour guide.

"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Falcone Borsellino Airport. Local time is 4:45 pm..." The voice droned on as Destiny shoved her iPod into her pocket, plugging the earbuds into her ear.

It had been a long ass journey with an annoying child that seemed way too hyper for way too long. Stretching her legs as she stood, she readied herself for what was supposed to be her honeymoon. Who thought it'd be alone? With a sharp exhale she reminded herself that she would enjoy this entire trip alone or not.

The hotel she was staying at was far, but she slept the whole way there anyway. The roses on the bed soured her mood, and she decided a bath would be better suited, after all she had a large day planned ahead with no tour guide.

The bright country of Italy was a stark contrast to the bleak atmosphere back home. Crying parents, snobby sisters, and fake condolences were just a downer, and she had had enough.

Even as night approached, the city was vibrant. Walking into a small restaurant, she sat and ordered food, a new chapter was beginning, and she would start it with the one faithful element of her life- food.

On reaching home, she curled up into bed and switched the news on. Eventually falling asleep as the lady's voice droned on.

A notification on her phone woke her up, and she grumpily checked the cell.

"Tour canceled"

Groaning loudly she smacked the pillow in anger. The next day was supposed to be a tour of the museum but now it was canceled.

Immediately looking up for a new tour guide, she found one who had a tour at nearly the same time. Quickly dialing up the number, she was waiting as the dial tune rang before realizing that it was nearly midnight, but as someone picked the cell up, she had no other option but to continue the call. Apologizing furiously, she explained that she was new to the country and had jet lag. The person was fairly amicable and said they had an open spot, and she could join.

Thanking her she put the phone down and the TV kept her company again.

The person on the other side of the phone however was wide awake. Having just reached home Bianca didn't mind the call but didn't really appreciate it either.

The Garage she had inherited from her father had taken up most of her day, even though she wasn't really interested in managing it, her father would kill her if she didn't tend to it now and then. With all the legal issues around it, it was important to be present there as much as she could. Walking up to her apartment, she was greeted by her brother who lazily opened the door and walked away before she could properly even enter.

"Gee, nice to see you too Andrea," She said sarcastically while the teen rolled his eyes. He did it so much that she wondered if his eyes hurt from such exercise.

"Hey, did you eat?" she asked walking over to the kitchen after throwing her bag in the corner which joined her shoes.

"Yeah I did..." he replied, retiring to his room.

"Okay...could have made me some too," she muttered, heating up some water to toss ramen in.

The house was not exactly clean per se, but it was very messy and while she knew what she needed to do for it to be clean...she didn't feel like it.

Deciding to care about it after dinner she took her food and walked over to the couch, plopping in front of the old TV that was one slap away from giving up.

Almost every piece of furniture in the house belonged to her dad much to her chagrin.

And where was her father you may ask? Locked up in prison for the past five years on account of being a....

… She didn't even know what the actual term was...hitman? He killed people for money now and then.

While Bianca was aware of his criminal side she didn't know the extent and was angry, to say the least. But you can't crucify a man who was already in prison...

The channel flipped to the news, and she narrowed her eyes to read the small print.

"Serial killer Kore escaped the hospital after killing a doctor and two ward aids..."

Sighing, she changed the channel to an old cartoon. At least that was better than listening about some serial killer. The sound of sirens distracted her for a second, but she shrugged it away.

Right now cartoons and food would be her sirens.
