I fell through the portal, only for it to close up as soon as my feet touched the ground. There was nothing here.
'Hello?' My voice just echoed in the vast emptiness.
As I walked, I noticed my boots weren't even making that clip-clopping sound they usually made.

Right in front of me appeared a castle; identical to the one I'd built in Brockwing Vale, only not as aesthetically pleasing. I opened the door to find nothing, but as I thought more of home, seemingly random objects began to appear, small things at first, though, like curtains, chairs and beds.
Next, I thought of my parents and how much I missed them. The images appearing before me were uncanny, like holograms, lacking any hint of sentience. They were damn right, unsettling.
'Mom?' She didn't even flinch; her image was still facing forward, unchanged, as was that of my father.
